THEY ARE A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION COMPANY..They evaluate your emotional responses when they call you...They attempt to manipulate you into giving up your personal feelings and information  even though they give out none..Ask them for their basic info of phone number, location, they bosses name, how they received fake or real data on you....Their response is "Sorry we can't give you any information about us....we're not allowed..but you can look us up on the internet.. "....If you pick up the phone without looking at your caller ID say "I did not invite you call me have a nice day"..Then hang up/..NOTE..They will call back on different phone numbers and harass you half a dozen times IF you pick your phone up ..Your caller ID will say "out of area or a MajikJack phone number you cannot call back..

I did not answer and there wasn't a message. If it was Luth Research, I wish I would have answered. I agree with Jennie that Luth is legitimate marketing research company that pays you to participate in focus groups or group studies.  I can't explain all of the abusive calls from this number but I can tell you that Luth Research is an awesome survey company that will pay hundreds of dollars if you put yourself on their list of survey-takers and qualify.  I got a call a few days ago and I qualified for a $200.00 full day public opinion survey scheduled for next Friday (they even provide lunch).  I did another one several months ago for $300.00 and my daughter got called in last year for a $175.00 tax software survey at Intuit.  I, personally love to give my opinion, especially if I'm getting paid for it.  What I'm saying is that if the call comes in as Luth Research and you might like the possibility of extra cash, answer the phone, it could definitely be worth your time.  Remember I only know about Luth...I've never heard of Scarborough or any of the others mentioned.

I've received one call last night and two back to  back this morning.They never leave a message.

Got a call around 6:30 at night.  A Spanish man was trying to ask my dad about his diabetes.  My dad told him he is not interested in sharing this information and the man kept telling us it is for some research and consumer practice.  My dad said no and hung up.  Very suspicious.  I will be reporting this number

I also received a call from this number and I ran a trace and comes back to a woman out of San Diego California but voicemail claims its the lux research Or what not so I would suggest blocking and maybe contacting the attorney general.

This is a company hired by AAA to see how your experience was with the agent you spoke with.

Don't call these people back! It will cost you money. Look at you phone bill. You will be charged but it won't show this number. just block it. And for god sakes don't give them any info. Not even a name. Scam, scam, scam!!  Can't tell you what I do but believe it!.

My wife got a call at home today inquiring if we were at AAA on December 6th to do registration on our car.  They called my cell phone, left no message. I googled the number after calling them and getting Luth Research on the message with the mailbox is full. Sounds like a scam according to all the other comments. Do not speak with the individuals when they call.

Just got a call from this number. after 7:30 PM. My mom picked up and they specifically asked for me. This is my parents's phone number. I have NEVER given out this number as my contact number and am wondering how they got the number and figured that I am at my parents when they called. As soon as I picked up and spoke the person hung up. Felt like a thief calling you to make sure you are not home so they can go rub your house. i called the number back and an automated voicemail identifies the company and "Luth Research" saying the voice mail box is full. Searched online and found this thread. they seem to be some sort of scam. I filed a complaint on the  Don not Call List website.

Received call from this number from "Scarborough". They said it was a survey and started by asking my birth month and day and also the same for anyone over 18 in my household.  The lady acted like she was reading from a script and did not know what she was doing and would have to get with her supervisor for help because she "just started there". After that she hung up quickly. Very irritating because I was at work at the time.

gal I spoke with was VERY unprofessional. She was chatty with others in working with her.

I've received several calls from this number, all of which I have missed because I am either working or asleep. They call relatively late. My phone says it is a number from San Diego. They never leave a message. The night before last I finally answered the phone, and it just sounded like someone breathing on the other line and people talking in the background. After saying "hello" three times, they hung up. It was really weird and actually creeped me out. I called back and the message was "luth research mailbox full". I am sick of these phone calls. I have already received two more after this incident. I NEVER fill out online forms, I have no idea how they got my number.

This is Scarbourough Research.  If you go through all the questions, they will ask if they can mail you a follow-up survey.  If you say yes and fill it out, and send it back, they will send you $5.00 for your time.  They also will email you if you prefer that.  They send the TV diaries like Nielsen used to send to track your TV viewing.  I hope this is helpful

I received a call from this number at about 12:20pm today, and no message was left.

This CRAZY person calles from this number: 619-2438036 today, there was a man asked for my name, since he said correct, then i said yes i am. then he said very quickly and sounds so rush "oh, i'll have somebody call you back." and then he hangs up the phone. I don't this number, after i checked out my cell phone, my phone shows me this number is located in San Diego Area. What a stupid pricker!!!! STOP you idot AXXHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
