Called back and it was the San Diego Union-Tribune offering a deal.  Very gracious when I told them I didn't want to subscribe.  Should have asked her to take me off the list!  Might call back and do that...

I've received calls from this number... I chased it down to TELEPORT COMMUNICATIONS GROUP - SAN DIEGO service provider  and it appears that it provides high speed networks for Cox, some phone companies, etc. Perhaps they also solicit directly now to end users? Not totally sure yet... but if you put their name in Wikipedia you'll get an idea of who they are.

I continually get calls from this number. They come at about the same time every night. Since I don't know anyone in Dulzura, CA I never answer. However, I don't understand why I keep getting the calls when I don't answer them. This is beginning to get unnerving.

This number came to my cell phone and did not leave a message, BUT when I did a reverse look-up it shows as a landline  phone from DULZURA, CA  (near the CA/Mexico border). When I called it on my landline I was thanked for calling back and asked where I lived for a newspaper DEAL!!

This the San Diego Union-Tribune aka UT.  If you were a previous subscriber, they're calling to offer a 20 week Sunday only delivery for $20.  Still not worth it!

yup union tribune, I missed there call and called back and a nice gal answered the phone.

Answered this call.  Said hello.  They hung up.

Just now got a call from this number.  Didn't pick up, and they didn't leave a message.

They have called sevral times, no message left

I don't know how they got my cell number... I think they put fake ads in Craigslist so they can get phone numbers.  Anyway, never leaves a message.  sometimes won't answer even when I pick up.

They were finally there! it was the newspaper offering me a deal!

Just got a call from this number and there was no answer on the other end.  Then the caller ID says Dulzura.  I don't know anyone there.  Strange.

I called back and reached Denise... must be some bi*** the CEO dated a while back.... anyway was forwarded to the DO NOT CALL automation line.... hopefully no more Sales Calls from the Union Tribune automated call list.

Got a call from this number. Did not answer. In the voice mail no message left but background sounds like calling while driving a car.

Harmless, probably auto-dialer for Union Tribune. Had about 5 calls in Sept. 2012

This is a call center pushing news publications.  I called back.  When a sales person answered she gave me her pitch for the San Diego UT.  I asked her what city she was calling from.  She told me that she was in a Phoenix call center.  Though they are using a local number that you might pick up.  When you call back, caller ID prompts the sales person to sell the correct periodical.  She transfered me at my request to a recording that allows you to have your number removed.

Though they were using a number that is out in the boonies in San Diego County, it nevertheless is local.  My guess is that they are on a VOIP network, and thus, there lies the problems of incomplete calls.

After seeing that this number may belong to the UT, I sent the following email through the UT website:

"I've been receiving MULTIPLE phone calls from a number (619-268-3069) reportedly belonging to the UT.  From what I could gather from my internet research, it is some sort of subscription/sales (ie:  TELEMARKETER).  Although I have kept my San Diego phone number, I now reside in the Fresno area so I am obviously not interested in receiving the UT.  As such, PLEASE REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM ANY AND ALL SALES/PHONE LISTS AND/OR PLACE MY NUMBER ON YOUR "DO NOT CALL" LIST".

Thank you."

Phone call from this number at 8.30pm. Unregistered number, I missed call, then got " new message", I tried opening it 3 times,It said, "New MMS Message"
'Network not available, cost me 2.5 mins. each time, I called the 3069 number back, (I thought I recognized the number). , answered by an Oriental voice, with this is "????", I said hello, the voice said, this is "?????  Union Tribune", I hung up.

Got a call from this number at 8 p.m. on 08/27/12.  No one answered.  I read the posts below, and it looks like it's  a telemarketer for the UT.

I have gotten hang up calls from this number probably once a week during the last 3-4 months.  Thanks to all who identified UT as the source.
