they keep calling me, but hanging up before I can answer.  Cox is my internet provider as my only other option is crap DSL.  I cancelled my other services a YEAR ago.  I've told them repeatedly that unless they can give me 5-10 for less than $10 a month including HD, I don't want their services.  It's currently $17.99 a month, and another $9.99 a month if I want that in HD... I'd rather keep my antenna hooked up and stream what I miss.

The solution is simple. Save the number as a contact and assign it a Silent ringtone. (Google silent ringtone if you want to create one.)

Beyond that, simply ignore it. They call me from time to time; I never know it until I look at the phone and it tells me I have missed calls. I now know this number is Cox and that I have no interest in their sales pitch. I delete my missed calls periodically. If they want to waste time soliciting me, that's their problem.

Thanks everyone for advising who's number is was because once a week they're caling but when I call back no one answered  Yes, I think it is a good idea to contact Cox and let them know to stop calling my cell. Actually, yesterday I did get a call from Cox which I answered this time without looking at the number and it WAS Cox sales rep., trying to get me to go back with them.

They called and didn't leave a message which is kind of annoying since I refuse to pick up calls from numbers I don't know. I have cox (only people that will service my apt unfortunately) and am good on my payments so they were probably trying to sell me stuff.

Yes, this is Cox and this is ridiculous. I kept getting calls and never picked up the phone, and no voicemail was ever left. I picked up this morning, on accident for the first time. It never occurred to the sales guy that he was calling me during working hours. I was also on the other line and he harrassed me, refusing to let me off the phone, although i told him I don't have a TV (he was trying to sell me cable) and he still refused to let me off the phone after I repeatedly told him I don't have a TV and was on a business call.

He also had the nerve to ask if I'd be buying a TV anytime soon, just trying to make a sales pitch. it's horrible that Cox telemarkets to its own customers. We already don't have a choice in who we can pick for internet based on where we live, so it's ridiculous that they harrass. I don't care if the sales people need to make a certain amount of sales based on incentives, it's rude and unethical what Cox does.

I have been getting autodialer calls several times a week for about a month.

I finally called the number to confirm it was a call from COX Communications to see if I was interested in upgrading my services.

So I logged onto their website and sent them email to inform them that I had previously told COX that I want to opt out of any sales calls.
