I keep getting phone calls from a 6617525761 number and they keep telling my i hyave three crimianl charges against me. I called the same number back and they keep telling me i am harassing them haha what a way to keep me busy at work!!!

Absolutely. Complaints have been filed with the FCC, as well as FBI. My employer has been called as well and are attempting to track down these thugs. They are all Indian, different names each time, calling from at least 10-20 different numbers. Get as much info from them as you can, then tell them you know this is a scam and has been reported to the FTC, FCC, and FBI. Then hang up. This was the advice of the FCC who is tracking complaints. Calls come fro, numbers in NY, CA, CO and all over the US. This needs to stop. Flood the FBI and FCC with complaints as these thugs are calling employers, family members and making all kinds of outlandish threats.

I have received 4 phone calls now from people speaking with very heavy accents.  The latest were 2 phone messages left on my answering machine today.  Today's calls were from a Dave Johnson that said I had to contact them or have my attorney contact them immediately or... (implied grave consequences)
I have received payday loans recently, but have paid as agreed, so know that is not the issue.  I will be contacting my bank and filing a report tomorrow.

These people have called my work, left voicemails at my doctors office, didnt even attempt my cell or house phone. Left the same message as isted above. I tried returning the call and contacted my attorney in regards to this..how can i stop them from calling my employment? And when i returned the call nobody answers..something has to be done about this.

This is an offshore payday loan debt collection extortion scam that has been going on for over five years. The FBI is aware of it, but is unable to do anything about it due to lack of manpower and resources. All you can do is file a report with them: www.ic3.gov, put fraud alerts on all three credit reports and change your phone number.

Good Afternoon...I have received calls from this number; it started on Wednesday, September 21 and they have Indian accents and followed the same script as I have read and they threaten to put my in jail.  To be honest I am really nervous because they do have my personal information.  I called them back Thursday, September 22 and ask them to send documentation of what they told me of the loan that they had information for but they refused and she, Nancy Parker, said they would proceed with legal actions against me unfortunately I agreed to the information they had because they had my personal information.  I emailed the BBB for my state and waiting a reply.  Needing advice in North Carolina.  I am really nervious about this.

There is a group of them and it is the same group that is using the number 9514890224 and now they are using 6192928273 and 6305295537.  The guy is now saying he is mike smith. They are not American at all nor are they acting with in the law. The FBI informed me that they are bouncing off numbers here but are either in Canada or over seas. Don't tell them any info and beware when you tell them you won't give them info they will start cussing at you and threatening your children and other family. Report them to ic3.gov

Received call from an unknown number from a person claiming to be Jack Adams.  The caller called 6 times within a 5 minute period.  The caller, who claims to be Jack Adams, had a very deep Pakistani or possibly Indian accent.  The message was for me or my attorney to call right away to 619-292-8273.  Caller then went on to say that if I disregarded his message and did not call then he "wishes" me very good luck with this issue.  

My parents recently received a similar call from a different caller claiming they had a payday loan and the caller threatened court appearances if my parents did not provide a Visa or MasterCard number to pay some bogus made-up debt.  Apparently, there is a group of scam artists trying to take advantage of people whose numbers have in some way obtained.  The scam artists are trying to scare whoever answers the line into providing Visa or MasterCard information by threatening court action.

I got a call today saying they deposited somewhere between 2 and 3 hundred dollars from some on line loan company and I was going to be drug into court in the next few hours. I tried to get more info from them but it made me nervous because they had all my numbers and age and everything correct. I checked with my bank and my account verified that I never received any deposit from such a loan company. I called those idiots back at that 619 number and told them I am reporting them for harassment. It's a scam for identity theft. I believe anyway.

I received a call at my place of employment told me her name was Jennifer Williams I don't think so very heavy indian accent she told me she was calling from 619-292-8273 I asked what company and she told me Kroger Legal Associates was going to transfer me to her supervisor I hung up was at work. Is this a scam?

Receiving haraasing calls from this number.

got a call from this number much the same as other 619-292 numbers listed on here. Saying they are calling from legal services, that charges have been filed against me for failing to re-pay a loan. Couldn't give me the date I supposedly received the loan, or any details other than an amount that I owed. I told him to send me paperwork in the mail and I would be glad to talk with him at the time I receive it. He told me he didn't have to discuss the matter with me and hung up. This is the 2nd time I've had a call from these people and didn't report it then but will now.
