Robocall from "Card Services" offering to lower my interest rate.  Likely this number is spoofed as they are definitely not a legitimate company.  Robocalling is banned, as is calling numbers on Do Not Call list, so if they are ignoring those facts, they aren't likely to be a legitimate company.

The standard robocall recorded message: "this is your 2nd and FINAL notice" about an opportunity to lower credit card interest rate "in regards to the economic stimulus."  Yeah, right - the only thing they wanna stimulate is their coffers, by conning suckers outta their identifying info & acct numbers.
The best is the "FINAL notice" part - they call repeatedly saying it's the final notice, so you already know they're lying from the start.

As of today 9/21/12 the account must still be open as I received a call from this same number.  Thought it was from someone I know in La Mesa (origina of call), so answered by mistake.  No one there.

I have received multiple telemarketing calls about credit card debt. I do not have any credit card debt. I have pushed the number on my phone to stop the calls, but they still keep coming. Today I tried to speak to someone at this number and they hung up on me. I work the midnight shift and sleep during the day. These phone calls are very disturbing, and will not stop though I have requested them to stop.

I've been cursed out by these people. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told I wasn't allowed to. HA! The Do Not Call registry doesn't help. I receive these calls daily.

*****SCAM SCAM SCAM***** BUT MY FUNNY STORY******
Yeah they claim that they got my number from my credit card companies, that I qualified for a lower interest rate. (I knew right off it was a scam b/c I don't have ANY credit cards) and since this was the 8th time they called and all the rest of the calls I kept getting cursed out and hung up on. This time I decided to PLAY along. I let him give me the speech. I kept asking all kinds of questions. He ask me if I have any credit cards. (um. duh, you just told me thats how you got my number) I said yes a MC and a Visa. Then tells me he has to qualify me by getting the card number from the card with the largest credit limit. I told him that would be my MC but that one doesn't have that much on it and my interest rate was already small. I have another card ViSA with a maxed out limit and a high interest rate that I would like to get lowered. He then told me, they can't use that one it had to be the smallest balance on the highest credit limit. So I told him, what if that was the only card I owed. He told me they know it isn't because they got my name and number from that MC company. So I said well if you got my number from them then you already know that it qualifies. You don't need my number. He tried very hard to get it, so I continued with the questions. Then ask to speak to a supervisor he said only after I give him my card number its the number that starts with a 5. If any one doesn't know.. ALL MC starts with 5 VISA with 4. I said well I have a few questions that I don't think you were clear on. He said all supervisors are on a different floor. I  then said you don't have a floor super? That seems odd for a large company like yourselves (which he could never provide me with a name of it.. lol) he said oh no I do. I said I would like to talk to them, then I added..oh its nothing bad just had a quick question and a compliment for you. So he failed to put me on hold so I heard his transaction with another person. I knew this other person was not a super. So he got on the phone and started with the same speech as the other guy.. I said I'm just curious how you got my phone number he said from the MC company in discussion. I just kept asking questions..(figuring I was taking up their time to call other people and possibly really scam them. ) After about 45 min of this.. (look I wasn't busy and had time to waste..lol) I ask him again where he got my number. Again he told me the MC company. I said well that is really strange they told me they wouldn't give my number. He said well he is part of their company so it was ok to share that info. Then I said well, I think your lying and this is a scam. He replied. No mamm. I said well can you remove me from your list. He continued to try to save the scam. I finally said look. I KNOW your a scam.. he said what makes me believe that. I said #1 the MC company doesn't have my number... and # 2.. I DONT HAVE A MC.. he tried to back track saying must be a mistake maybe it was the Visa the let him check. So I let him..oh yeah it was the Visa company. I started laughing and said nice try boy you guys are really trying hard to scam people. I informed I don't use any credit cards. If I want something I use cash. Now could you remove from your list at this point both of the guys started cursing at me and hung up. So hopefully they will just remove me as... "lady knows its a scam" lol.. or at least I wasted an hour of their time trying to scam others. I have decided if they call again to do it again.

my number is on the do not call list.  This morning I had 3 calls from this number!  This is a SCAM!  Every day for weeks I've had a call from this number.  When I forward my phone to my cell phone, I pay for these stupid numbers.

Answered this, expecting a relative to be on the other end( was in the kitchen; only caller i.d. device is in living room). When I told caller I pay off my cards every month, she quickly hung up. They only leave messages once in a while. My caller i.d. says it's from "cellphone Ca".

Rec'd a call from a credit card services stating that this is their second and final call, if you are interested in lowering your credit card interest press one now....I pressed one....and immediately indicated to remove my number and that I was on the do not call list.....and the man's response was "The S*** List"...and I responded with an assertive counter response...and they hung up....

Now, why do we go through the motion and get on the do not call list....and receive calls that what I call on the verge of being abusive....where is one to go...to complain that has any teeth to take care of this law breaking company?

This company comes accross as a credit card service company, that this is your last chance to lower your credit card interest.....and it is part of the federal stimulus package....

I tried to call back the number that was on the caller ID and a phone system error message stating that the number was no longer in use with an error number of 153......

My major concern here is the people they are targeting...people that maybe in financial crisis and they are vulnerable state and may end up getting hurt by this company....

It should not matter if the company is off shore...if it utimally benefits a company...doing business in this country...they need to play by our rules...and answer to those rules when they violate those rules!!!!!!

Best Regards,

I have a few friends in HIGH PLACES Washington and out State Capitol.  If you could help me with that list of numbers I will work with my senators and reps to see what we can come up with.

I know!  I know!  You are thinking I am ONE OF THEM!!!!  Never fear.  I am a retired teacher who has done a little government work on the side.

Just an idea.  If you can think of anything better, give me a shout.

09-05-2012 @ 3:27 PM, 619-315-7406, UNKNOWN NAME:  Phone rang 3 times and then I picked up the phone.  No one answered so I started pressing the # key to just annoy the hell out of them.  I finally hung up because there was no one there, or they refused to talk.  A search on the internet shows this call came out of San Diego, Calif., which also means it's a Scammer.  We are on the DNC, but these scammers ignore the laws regarding DNC.  From blogs I've read, it appears this is a scammer calling about lowering your interest rates on credit cards so they can obtain your personal information.  Piss on them.  I'd still like to stick a double barrel shotgun up their butts and pull both triggers at the same time!!

Got a call from this number today with "La Mesa, CA" as the caller ID. Looked it up in reverse directory and it is in La Mesa, CA so at least that matched. Told them I didn't own a credit card and wanted off their call list and the reply I got was "You're now on the s*** list!" and they hung up on me.

Received a call from this number today.  Caller I.D. identified the caller as "Unknown Name."  But, they left a message about lowering interest rates on credit cards.  I do not answer these types of calls.  But, what is really annoying is that the National Do Not Call List does nothing to stop these kinds of calls.

Have REPEATEDLY told them NOT to call - they have been calling 2-6 times a WEEK, for the past year or so - ALL hours - from several different numbers.  So frustrating when they wake you early in the morning, and call late at night where I think something may be wrong with a family member.  It is getting so bad, I am on the verge of changing my phone number of many years.  No one should have that much power to harrasse you, and get away with it - and yet, they do.
