Unknown call, no voice message, hung up!

Caller calls a couple of times and leaves no message. Suspect its a collection agency.

Got a call aug 31, 2012 asking if i knew how to get a hold of one of my husband's friends. I said No and that was it. Checked with other friends and they got the same call today so I knew it was a scam. Next time he calls back I will tell him that the number has been reported to the FTC. I did that to another number that was calling me aboit a different friend and the calls stopped after i told them I had reported them.

DON'T EVEN ANSWER ANY OF THESE DICKS QUESTIONS.  THEY ARE A SCAM.  ITS ILLEGAL TO DO WHAT THEY ARE DOING.  THEY JUST WANT MONEY THEY ARE PROBABLY FROM AFRICA OR INDIA.  SCUMBAGS!

They are calling the house looking for my husband's father which we told them that he does not live here so take us off your list.  The calls stopped for about 2 weeks now they call 2 times a day.  I just never answer the phone.  Im just going to block the number with cox communications.  WHO ARE THESE D_CKS?

So I've been getting calls from this number (619) 330-9072 which is weird to me, Since they never leave messages. They call my cell phone number as soon as I ignore and don't answer the call Who ever this is calls my home number I wonder who are these people and how do they get both of my numbers?

Definitely sounds like a collection company, and I don't owe a large amount of money either. A few small bills but nothing warranting this guy calling.

I received two calls from this company, asking for Gabriella rodriguez, which isn't me.  The call came in as a collect call from a muffled name, so I answered, and I told them it was the wrong number. The first time they just said ok and hung up. The second time, I asked what the deal was and asked if it is some type of scam, and the guy completely acted like that is a normal question, and said "no, no, it's not a scam." he acted all annoyed and weird. So strange.

Just got a call from the same number. Some one asking for some Jesus (spanish pronounciation). Told him I have no clue and asked him how he got my number. He said he works for URS and then hung up the phone. Tried calling back, but there is no answer.

It's a place called United Recovery Systems calling for Capital One. I spoke with a man going by Mr. Stevenson. I did owe money, but he was very helpful and I was able to set up automatic payments through him to pay off my Capital One account.

Got a missed call and no message.  Goggled the number and came across this post.

Keep getting a call from 619-330=9072, keep getting strange breathing noises and heavy hissing sounds.
Also someone tearing paper like.

I've been getting calls from the same number: (619) 330-9072. For about 2 weeks now. The first time, they called 3 times in a row, all of the calls were about a minute apart. I didn't answer because I had gone over my minutes and since my dad pays my bill, he had me on phone-lock-down. lol. So I had my friend call for me and she said it was some company, but they didn't say what they wanted me for. They keep calling, but I'm not going to answer. That's for the heads up!!

BTW there is also a woman named Susan with a southern accent (very rude), some guy who has no clue what he's talking about (might or might not be the Steve refferenced above) and Dimetria who is supposed to be the manager when you press them to speak w/a manager to get your name removed.

It's a credit collector called United Recovery Systems.  They collect for Capital One and probably other companies.  They call you, your family (which is illegal) all day long and like the other person said once they have your name they don't stop...even if you don't owe anything.

They've called me for about 3-4 weeks, about 2x a week.  Never leave a message.  They called again today 619-330-9072, I didn't pick up on the first call but picked up on the second.  They asked for an old roommate of mine...I told them there was no one by that name here, even though i knew who she was, I didn't want them to keep calling me.  I hope that worked and they stop calling.

They been calling for couple days, they said i have lost relatives and that even an illegal to use another name.

I received a call this morning from (619) 330-9072 and the guy calling stated that he was having difficulty reaching my neighbor about a business deal and asked if I could help.  I acknowledged that I knew the neighbor, and he said "Can you help?"

I then asked how he got my number. The guy lied and told me he got it from directory assistance.  The only problem is I have an unlisted number.  When I told him "No you didn't" he said "Ok, here's the thing.." and hung up on me.  

I never did establish the purpose of the call, only that the guy calling is a liar and is apparently up to no good.

I got a call from this number & the caller id said "anonymous", so I didn't answer.  Can something be done to end anonymous phone calls?

I got a call this morning and missed it, I called it back, it didnt even ring, he just answered. the guys name was steven davis and he was SO RUDE to me! He was trying to say he was from my credit card company (when I know thats not the number they call me on) and he wanted me to pay him money and I said I couldnt right now so he was asking me all these questions like how much do you make, where do you work, then I told him Im a full time student and work 10 hours a week and he was like do you have anyone that can help you out and i said no then he said well then how do you pay rent? How do you afford to do that? i told him thats none of his business, he started yelling at me and refused to transfer me to his manager (Scott howard). It was just super sketchy and the guy was yelling at me and being really rude.

This is a collections company from Dell that is calling us on this number.  I am sure they work for other companies also.  They are ruthless they call like every hour or every 10 min its a random time so must be a auto dialer.
