By pressing a number on any of the scammers, it just allows them to know that it really is an active #, & they will continue to call..

Go to the FCC website and file an online complaint - the more we do this, the more the government can do to stop this crap from happening.  Make your tax dollars work for you.  Yes it requires time and effort, but I'd rather that I do something positive, in some way to stop these calls than just talk about it.

There's the URL.

GOOD LUCK to all in stopping these calls!

Called for the umpteenth today. I pressed '1' per the robocaller and then asked the live person to hang on. Picked up 30 seconds later asked if he was still there, asked him to hang on. Picked up 30 seconds later and told him I was going to hang up on him. He called back, I hung up. He called back again, I screamed in the phone. He called back an hour or so later, called me names, I insulted him a bit, then hung up. Will not answer again.

Something like Google Voice or a call management device like Digitone can! At least on an individual basis.

If you've never picked up and answered the calls should dwindle over time otherwise.
We're you to initially pick up and answer on their first 'call' they will then know it's a live number and won't stop. They are criminal cowards after all and don't care about any laws!

Ignoring them & not picking up does not work. I have ignored & not picked up for over a year & the calls keep coming & even have gotten much worse, to the point of 2 to 3 per day, sometimes more.

First I started answering again a month or so ago to demand that each company take me off their call list. This worked for a few that were calling to raise money for organizations. (I was getting 2 calls per day from "Autism awareness", but to their credit, once I answered & told them to take me off their list they have not called again. (been at least a month or more since I have heard from them)

For the ones who will not listen & keep calling, I'm trying something new....messing with their minds. I have nothing to lose, they are going to call no matter what I do. So I've been playing games with them, pretending they've got me on the hook. I drag out the call as long as possible, & even put them on hold a couple of times. After wasting as much of their time as I possibly can while still keeping them on the line, I let them know exactly what I was doing & tell them every time they call I'm going to find new ways to waste their time & mess with them.

So far seems like it might be working. The 2 companies I have done this to so far have not called me back since...been a about a week now. We will see.

Just al ittle more here...

Always at about the same time each day ...

Cell Phone CA (916) 219-9223 [Card Services] September 18th, 2012 at 1:46 pm

and with this number:

September 20th, 2012 at 1:41 pm
September 21st, 2012 at 1:45 pm

(only difference the first time ... first & last number in area code reversed and first time the overly used and widly known to be a scam - credit card rate reduction scam)

Here's a few other numbers (also most likely all spoofed as well) to watch for ... and block/blacklist:
619-335-8818
619-335-8820
619-335-8821
619-335-8822
619-335-8823
619-335-8824
619-335-8825
619-335-8826
619-335-8828

(There are TONS more... but at least it's a start)

Or this may help,
http://www.phonereported.com/pfx/619-335/9
plus google this " 619-335-88xx  " (or just " 619-335 " )

And Oh yea, these moron's can keep trying until Hell freezes over ... and they won't get through but always fail! One word .... futile!!! As far as their feeble attempts at ringing my number and trying to scam me! Hasn't worked once!!!

OMG! These Neanderthals lacking in grey matter really just don't get it! LMAO here

Yep, at 1:45 pm PST they once again tried to get through and scam me ... but like the last time they failed!!! Checked the call list and sure enough ... this same spoofed number appeared.

FYI, it turns out that any number (all most likely spoofed) with the 619 exchange is with Bandwidth.com (see my last post) - VOIP provider and scammers are notorious for using BOIP services as well as Caller ID spoofing and robo-dialers to make their scam calls!!!

"To add to further concern regarding this company, I have just contacted T-mobile regarding this company and their repeated phone calls. It just so happens that my husband was receiving the same calls on his phone. The odd thing about that... when they called my husband's line they were able to use the the a dedicated ringtone making my husband believe I was calling him. How is that possible? Still looking for an answer. The suggested resolution is to change both of our phone numbers and get new sims cards. Something doesn't feel right at all about this company. I didn't "answer" the calls.  I picked up and hung up...and that is that. I don't answer calls that are blocked, unknown, or from someone I don't know."

1st a few quotes:
? Insanitiy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
? Stupid is as stupid does

2nd: If you don't recognize the number don't pick up/answer.  These days that's a clear sign it's another scammer! These moron's have tried this tactic repeatedly for up to six years. I never fell forit once! It's always the same scammers with the same scam or a variation of their original - either some kind of rate reduction, so called home security system offer, loan modification offer, phony survey, supposed winning of either Walmart, Best Buy or Target gift card, credit card or debit card being blocked or computer being compromised scams (I'm sure rhere's others).  But these are all scams!!

This one uses bandwidth.com, notoriously connected with many other scams!!!

For myself, I NEVER pick up or answer any calls where the calling number is unknown to me especially if the area code is from somewhere I have never been. I have been receiving these pathetic and desperate scams calls for so long (since late 2007) that I finally went beyond reporting them and, for most of this time, use a service that has proven to Beverly useful in stopping them before they reach my phone, it never rings Nd I find these idiots attempted their call because the same service has a call list I can check. Needless to say these a-holes number (spoofed) has been blacklisted already and once again they failed!!!

SOME FACTS:
? Numbers they use are Caller ID spoofed
? Always use pre recorded messages
? Always use robo-dialers
? Always blatantly call numbers on the Do Not Call list
? always will refuse to stop calling
? Always use a ploy that involves pressing number ... which actually confirms they got a live number
? Returning the call or picking up and answering does the same
? All they are after is your personal info and even to steal your identity. No actual service or product is ever offered.
? More likely than not  they have ca centers/boiler rooms that are offshore (overseas), but the main perp that stated this bs is in the U.S.
THERE IS MOTHING LEGIT OR LEGAL ABOUT WHAT THEY DO!!! They are all criminals and cowards that have to hide behind their spoofed numbers, offshore boiler rooms or here in the States.

Some Considerations:
? Google Voice (or similar service)
? Call Managwment devices such as Digitone or Ring Controller
? Keep reporting (directly to the FTC, via their site), FCC, State AG, your congressperson and U.S. Senator, local and network media and by all means, inform those you know and especially care about that this (and all the others) are a scam and to avoid them, not fall for them at all costs!
Take back our phones and phone service, strip them of any power they think they have over you and prove in every way possible what true pathetic cowards they really are!!!
