I am in California. They called me stating they are from PG&E, and had a truck outside ready to shut off our power if we didn't pay an outstanding balance that was overdue & late. However, our PG&E bills are current & on time. Also, no truck was outside. They were a scam. Just hang up on them. Or ask them to fax you the invoice.

I am in New Mexico and have just received a call from number 619-488-3659 saying that they were from Mississippi Power and PNM and that due to a power outage my meter needed to be replace today and that my account was frozen.  They starting to ask me for personal information and they just hang up. Calling PNM right now.

Yeah, Just got a call from this f****rs, I called back and started to harass them, did a trace phone and called the authorities.

I got a call from a female claiming to be from Georgia power and my meter could cause a fire and a tech was going to cut my power off withing an hour. The first person most have been new and she transfer me to her supervisor he then said that it was an issue with my bill and I should had gotten several notices, and I needs to py $300 plus. I asked for a call back number and they gave me the 619 number. I called GAPowe and they confirm it was a scam. I called the number back and the same supervisor answered and wanted my name, but I hung up.

I just had the same number call me in Columbus,GA claiming to be from GA power, but with the same scam line. Ga pose verified fraud. Someone need to stop this. They spoke Spanish . I called the number back and they answered.

We have had this same number used in similiar scams in Oregon.  What is your location, date and time of call.

We are trying to document these calls to show to law enforcement.

Called stating that they are with ComEd and that they were going to deliver an electrical part to his house. They wanted the money upfront. He hung up and they continued to call him back and harass him.

SCAM!  Your power company does not accept Moneypak cards.  Also, if you were overdue on your bill you would have received one or more letters before any phone calls, if you even receive a call.

Woman called and threatened to turn off the lights if $39.93 wasn't paid via Money Pak.

the lady that called claiming she was from the Electricity company (ComEd in chicago) said that they were gonna shut off the power if I didn't pay $400 claiming that the company was changing their system and that they were not accepting payment via currency exchanges any more and the only way that they were accepting payments was via "Money Pak", a card that you can buy on radio shacks or walgreens, they said that if I didn't pay the money in 15 minutes a worker from the company was on the area and was authorized to shut off the power of my property. I was supposed to go and buy the Money pak thing but never went, after the 15 minutes passed they called me again but my dad answered and told them that he was not going to pay the money and to send the guy from the company to shut off the power he didn't even finish talking when they hung up on him
The lady claimed that her name was Sheri Garcia and the name of her Manager/supervisor was Javier Pero Cruz.
The number that appeared on the Caller ID was (800) 342-5397 and the Direct Line was (619) 488-3659

caller claims to be from the department of water and power says water and power will be s*** off in
30 minutes unless given payment info. I spoke to a real dwp employee
who said they never make these type of calls.
