This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Received phone call from  619-489-0128, Alex Watson claiming to be an attorney from Legal Affairs, would not give name of firm or company. Made threats to have me arrested if a so called debt was not paid by close of business and claimed to have my SSN.  Would not provide any documentation, became rude when I told him he was a fraud and I was reporting him to the FTC.  He hung up on me.  I have reported him and the phone number to the FTC.  If you receive a call from this number or anyone claiming to be Alex Watson report to the FTC at 877-489-0128.

This so called Alex Watson called me today as well. When I called him out on his scam he started name calling and then hung up. He then called me back and continued with the name calling. This is not the first time this has happened to me. These people are reslly crazy

I got a phone call from this number too. It stops & starts every couple of  months. Just tired of all the harrassing calls.

This person called me this mornind, telling me I will be arrested tomorrow. He claimed he was an attorney, Alex Watson, and he knew where I  used to work. I have not worked in a year, due to medical issues, but he claimed he would garnish my wages. I believe he is a fraud, and should be stopped. I have already turned him in to my own attorney, who is investigating this issue. Please stop this maniac! His phone number is 619-489-0128. If you get a call from him, just hang up....... he is a fraud.

This person called for mm father who is in ICU telling ME  that they are going to take me and my father to jail tomorrow and then if I do not call he says he wishes me luck because of what will unfold  on me.

These people called my work and left the same message they left months ago. Urgent matter, extremely sensitive and then if I do not call he says he wishes me luck because of what will unfold  on me. Don't answer these people. Their caller ID shows Chula Vista, CA as the originating city. The caller says his name is Eric Tyson, and has a strong Indian accent. Pure scam. Do not give any personal information. This cam has been around for months. Its time they go to jail along with others that do the same.

Same story.  Someone with accent called and said he was looking for someone I hadn't heard of.  It has happened at least 15 times over the last 1 1/2 years.  Repeatedly asked them to remove my phone number.  It stops for a few months and then restarts.  They just started using profanity today.

Guys I received a call from these people today.  i didnt answer but they left message and called my job.  They are not the first people to pull this scam and it is a scam.  They are from india and use cell phones from here.  They are awful the scare tacts they have are amazing and such lies.  DO NOT FALL FOR ANYTHING THEY SAY PLEASE!

Ok I took the bullet I got scammed Same thing just happened to me.  Same people Watson and David Smith. Same story being arrested,coming to job.  When my son got home traced the number and found him out. He just kept hanging up on him.  Be ware these FU_ _ _ _ _ crazy . had the nerve to say he made a fool out of me .  But if I could find him or my son I'd pay him alright.

I received a call from this number on my sons cell phone this morning.  Normally he takes his phone to school with him but forgot it today.  So the phone rings I answer it and there is no one there.  I wait a minute and hang up and call back to see who it was.  This guy answers and I tell him I missed a call from this number and I asked what company he is with and he started to say one thing then changed it and said he was an attorney.  I asked him who he was looking for and he said a name and it wasn't anyone that I know and I asked him politely to please remove my sons number from his call list and he hung up on me.  I called back thinking I would get someone else and wanted to make sure my sons number was removed from there call list.  And it was him again,  I proceeded to tell him I was just double checking that he removed the number because I didn't want him calling my sons phone while he was in school.  And he proceeded to harass me about my son even having a phone I told him it wasn't any of his business as to why my son has a phone and then he told me to come there and suck his d**k.  At that point I did say some not so nice things back to him.  I am very upset because it isn't even my debt...  And I was not rude to him.  Is there something that can be done to stop him from calling.  Very frustrated.......

A man from this phone number 619-489-0128 called himself Ryan Gibson has called my cell number repeatedly and I asked him what the call was in regards to he tried to say I owed a debt for either a payday loan or internet fraud...depending on which call.  I told him off and hung up on him.  Now he is calling my place of work and was rude to my manager and she told him it was a place of business and not to call again though he did ask her to take down his name and number and she said he is a foreigner.

This sounds like extortion dressed as debt collection. The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. As early as possible it's critical to determine if your collector is domestic or yet another South Asian faker. The former you can sue into submission; the latter tend to be out of reach.

Received a call from ALEX WATSON, stating that I was to be arrested tomorrow morning at my place of employment for some payday loan fraud. Dont know how or where he got my information but this has to be some scam. Haven't received any payday loans or anything. Dude was extremely rude and wouldnt let me talk. Told him to call the police and I will be filing a report as well.

They have called me at work and on my cell.  They left me a message stating his name was David Smith and I couldn't understand him very well.  Like I'd give ANYTHING to someone that clearly doesn't speak English.  He is stating that there is a law suit for some sort of loan against me and that he'd be sending the "Law" to my office to arrest me if I didn't pay on it. Ok for one they don't arrest you for being behind on a loan payment and for two I don't have anything out there that they are referring to!  We do need to do something about this harrassment!!

Obviously a scam. Get yourself a dig. recorded and tape every call you get if you have to answer it. File a report with your local Law Enforcement. Also would be a good idea to monitor your credit since they have your social. Don't give any info or confirm any info they might spout to you. When they call you at work tell them not to call you there anymore. Once you tell them they are no longer lawfully allowed to do so if they are legit, but clearly safe to say it is an attempt to extort money from you. Also ask them to send you the original paperwork with your signature but don't give them your address. If they are legit they will have your address and by law they have to do that, not to mention they can't threaten you with arrest or anything else. No1 is coming to arrest you. Just desperate threats from the mentally disabled.
