didn't answer, no message, using disconnected number for their caller ID
jetames 2014-06-19 04:09:59 Telemarketer
I see that these fools called earlier in the day at 2:29pm.
Doesn't matter - our phones do not ring and they can't get through.
jetames 2014-06-19 04:07:22 Telemarketer
Surprised that it took them this long to call me.
Have blocked their number and their future calls.BLOCKED NOW - BLOCKED FOREVER!
Our phone does not ring when a blocked call comes in.
Buy a call blocking phone or device - we have both - they work and they are inexpensive.

This (previous posts) actually getting interesting! Got a call from these guys today and it was obviously the right decision not to answer. I'm disappointed that it was only my first call from this particular number.
Beth 2014-06-18 21:43:52 Unknown
I work remotely and never answer my home telephone during the day... they called 7 times in a row.. When I tried calling back, "number is disconnected"...
Same as above 2014-06-18 21:29:39 Unknown
Now number four. This is really becoming creepy.
I am posting to warn others of the incessant nature of these individuals, even after using a call blocker. I did not answer the first two times (it went to the machine). In fact I never answer numbers I do not know; learned that lesson years and years ago.
Same person as above 2014-06-18 21:25:20 Unknown
Okay, literally after I posted the above message and blocked the number, they called. So that is three calls within seven minutes. I wonder if I can file stalking charges, because this is what it is beginning to feel like.
Anonymous 2014-06-18 21:20:38 Telemarketer
Two calls within five minutes. Really? After I did not answer the first time and let it go to the machine they did not "get" the message? Another number to block. I really wish AT&T would start simultaneous calling so that I could have NoMoRobo; until then block, block, block. I seem to block more calls these days than answer.

They've been calling us in Huntington Beach, CA 3-4 times a day for at least a week. They don't leave a message, but stay on the line long enough to make a silent recording on our device. I'll report them to Nomorobo since it is not blocking the calls--but the number is probably spoofed. Sigh. I have to spend about an hour each week reporting and blocking all the new spoofed numbers from these nuisance callers. I love Nomorobo, but they apparently can't keep up with all the new numbers either.

They called 3 times today within a 4 hour period, this number has been blocked, doesn't even ring once

The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.
Here is your reading assignment:
http://www.ftc.gov/news-events/media-resource ... try/enforcement
Remember, the Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers. The DNC list does not cover calls from criminal scammers & spammers. To report those, visit https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense. Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

2 calls to my cell, no message, when I tried to return call got "not a working number." Seriously, do these idiots think that we will answer a call from a number we do not know?
COTTONWOOD BUDLEY 2014-06-11 21:20:47 Unknown
DesertTurtle,
I live in Cottonwood, AZ and these scumbags were calling our house almost every day and sometimes 2 or 3 times. We were getting between 3 -10 nuisance calls a day and I finally bought a CPR CallBlocker V201 on Amazon and believe it or not, my house now almost free of them. You can block them number by number or block the whole area code and when a unfamiliar number shows up on your caller ID, just hit the big (RED) "BLOCK NOW" button and they are history.
Check it out buddy. I feel it's the best $90.00 I ever spent since the FTC and FCC will not do anything to these azzwholes.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.
A1 Solar Power?s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers. Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.
The following seven entities appear to be associated with each other:

Once again we were called by these 'Energy Savings' idiots on 6/11 on my land line phone in AZ, only this time there was an automated message left!! The key is that if you do not take advantage of this offer & it is not telemarketing as was claimed, the offer in your area ends on June 15th. I'm thinking, Promise?? Maybe their calls will stop? Of course at the end of the stupid recording you are asked to press a number if you wish to be taken off of their call list. Fat chance of that happening so that they can sell my number to others. After nearly 24 years, our phone is not so private anymore, We screen all of our calls. I am never going to pick it up as long as I have caller id & don't recognize the caller. The energy 'scammers' have been hounding us at this number for over 6 months now, from many different numbers; long distance as well as local.
