Called on February 05,2013 at 9:03 am , I called back no answering machine no voice mail called numerous times after missed called no answer.

This is correct, it just happened to me today.  I had no idea previously.

Recived call from 619-523-6418 on 03/06/08, 1020 am and actually heard some background noise that sounded like an attempt to communicate on a bad connection (or radio in the background of a cell phone that had turned itself on)  Hung up, called back; no answer, no voicemail

I missed a call from this number at 9:57 am on 3/25/08. When I called back there was also no answer or voicemail. =(

2 missed phone calls about 5 minutes apart on 4/7/08. No message.

2 calls, one "voicemail" morning of 6/17/2008.  Voicemail was about 30 seconds of jazz music

Just received and picked up a call from this number 619-523-6418 .  It was a woman who wanted to know if she could adopt a dog from my rescue organization, but refuses to allow us to do a home check, or vet check, or anything like that.  When I said that our organization DOES want to check out references, she got belligerent and hung up the phone.  There's only one reason someone wants to adopt a dog, but won't let you call their vet, check with their landlord, or do a home check....it's because they're NOT responsible dog owners.

I received 5 missed calls from this number within a 30 minute period. No voicemail. When I called back the phone just rang & rang.

Same thing here. I just received two calls (on my unlisted, "do not call listed" cell number) this morning from this number and found this site where it seems no one has any clue who it is calling. I called back from a separate blocked number and it rang and rang - no voice mail or anything.

Called my personal (do-not-listed) cell phone at 6 am!!  No voicemail left, impossible to call back.

I received a call from this number on 11/16/07 at 9:33 am and when I called back the phone rang and no voice mail or answer.

This number called me 3 times this morning, I think she asked for Darryl, she was obviously mexican, I said wrong number she called back 20 seconds later and did the same thing, I said no I already told you this is the wrong number, she hung up and called right back, I answered the phone "are you kidding, you have the wrong number for the 3rd time" she called me a bi*** and hung up. How do I block that # so they cant call anymore?

I often get calls from this number, sometimes requesting to talk to someone with a military title, sometimes even leaving some presumably secret information as a message.  When I actually answer, the problem is that they are calling out to a long distance number and forgetting the prefix. So instead of 1-301-123-4567 for example, they get local number 301-1234 (ie: us).

I got a missed call from this number this afternoon and after reading through some of the comments, I know it was a friend calling me from base.

For those of you who don't have any military affiliation or don't understand why they have your number, all I can tell you from experience is that sometimes when young/new kids to the military are asked by their bosses or workplaces for their cell phone number or a way to contact them when they aren't at work, they give a bogus number. Usually just one number off from theirs or someone's number they got at the bar. If you are repeatedly getting these calls, answer and explain to Darryl Manning or whomever is calling that you have no affiliation and they need to take your number off their "record" "calling list" and "contact information". You have to say all three and maybe add a few variations of your own. Usually call centers have exact wordings you need to use in order to be removed... I know, I work at a call center.

You're right, its from Point Loma and its a the Navy base. My friend works there and he called me and the caller ID was 619-523-6418;
HOWEVER -- that is how all their out-going calls are set up. The phone number to reach my friend is different. So all the employees that call out from various different extensions will show up as 619-523-6418. But their numbers to actually reach them arre all different.  MYSTERY SOLVED.

Got repeated calls from this #, I dont answer for #s I dont know, I expect people who know me to leave me a message.  When no messages were recieved, I finally answered the call, a man said "hello" and after a pause he said "who did I call again?" and i said "whos this?" and then another pause and then he said "I must have the wrong #" and hung up ????????  It seemed as though they wanted my name?  Why i dont know?

Legit Number for all phones. Hundreds of people call out using any phone.

I got a call fom this # on my direct line at work. THERE IS NOREASON ANY ONE SHOULD HAVE MY #. The only ppl who know it are my girlfriend and I.

I've received calls from this number from a person who works there. It is on a military base and no one ever answers when you call back. It seems to be a number that employees have access to where they can call outside the base. I'm running it up as this person is now harassing me & I'm trying to stop the harassement. It is a valid number folks it's on a military base where there is a lot of security!! Pt. Loma to be exact!

I got called from this numbers without leaving any message and no answer on returned called.  Very strange, it is certainly a spam.

Thats a military phone number from Point loma Naval base. My husband works there and he always call me from that phone..But I can't call back to that number.

Received a call from this number earlier today.   The caller stated they were Darryl Manning, he could be reached at 553-0570 and was calling "regarding urinalysis testing".

I received a call from this number and the caller ID said San Diego CA, I picked up and said "This is (my name)" and a lady said "Oh I must have the wrong number!" and hung up.  She sounded in her 30's or 40's, professional, enthusiastic (about something!?!)  Are these people looking in the phone directory (I am listed) for residences that do not answer, perhaps to try burglarizing them?  It's not unheard of.   If the common denominator is, all the posters are listed in the phone book then think about that.

Have received numerous calls from this number the last couple of days.  When I pick up, I hear the beep of a fax machine.  This is probably why there is no voice mail when anybody attempts to call back
