Received 3 calls between 7:40 am to 8:00 am.  No one there.D

The call was from a Navy ship based out of San Diego that is currently out to sea. Marines and Sailors use that number to call home. They also use 619-545-5532. You cannot call the number back, it is restricted from incoming calls. If you don't know any one in the military then it was probably some one trying to call home and accidentally dialed your number.

I got several harrassing numbers from this account. The person called and I tried calling back but was unable. Are you positive that this number is from a ship!

yes these phone calls are from the ship, i was in the navy on the stennis, thats the ship that has those phone numbers... and i used to call home and friends and family all the time when we were out to sea or overseas, my wife is on the ship and she stills calls me everynight from that exact number so just calm down and relax people.

It is a number from the navy ships, My husband uses it to call me, I would also kindly remind you all who are in the military or know a ship is out to sea etc you should remember OPERATIONAL SECURITY. even information like this could give someone they piece of the puzzle they were looking for and that makes our spouses and family in danger so please do not give details of what ship you were or are on etc

Call from 619-524-4377. Don't know who they are. I just got a Skype number yesterday and received this call today.

My daughter calls from this number when she is underway.  She is also a sailor stationed in San Diego. The caller ID is US NAVY ASW.   It doesn't mean bad news, it's just their way to contact you from onboard the ship if they aren't in port.  Don't stress out if it's the first time you've seen it, Moms and Dads.  And don't worry if you miss their call; they'll call you back soon enough :)

I got a call from my buddy in the Marines from this number today, and at first I thought he was back home in San Diego, but I quickly realized he was still on the ship.  I actually got excited for a moment thinking he was back on U.S. soil, but he isnt.  If you get a call from this number, it doesnt absolutely mean bad news!  Answer!!!!!!!  They need it!!!!!!

I received a phnoe call from this number. I have a feeling that is was my wife trying to get ahold of me to let me know she made it to her destination safe. I don't know that for sure and I am worried as heck. I want to know.

If you receive a call from this number to a cellphone would you get charged?

i just got this call yesterday on my cell phone and just googled it.it says its a non working number and to call a different number.why are some many of us getting the same number?

Yep, thanks to google and this site I answered a call from this number and was my buddy out to sea with the Navy.

A sailor can call you from his or her cell, sure, when the ship is about 20 miles off the coast, not more:) As for this number, its just a router, thats all, this is not an actual number you can call. Although some times you do get bad news this way, dont be too worried, if something really bad happened, you would see a few people outside your door...Basically, the command would have its reps on the beach notify you in case of emergency. Hope this will ease your worries.

I got a call from this number a little while ago and it's strange because whenever the sailor I know calls me he'll call from his cell, they don't call from this number to give bad news do they? I tried to call back and it wouldn't let me through saying it's not a working number.

Some sailor was prolly trying to call home using the ship's satellite phone and dialed your number by mistake. Those phone calls go from the ship, through the satellite, then through a router on the beach, then to the destination number.Thats why you saw a regular CA number.
