I got the text you all described last week. I filled everything out and got the giftcard in the mail today. Don't always assume that it is a scam because from the sound of it you all missed out on the giftcard. Have fun not getting a free $1000.

received a text message on my cell phone this morning 10:34 AM about winning a Target $1000 giftcard from an entry I made last month and directions and code to claim...Google search turned up various SCAM sites for this and I see more posted on this page for similar incidents...I reported the text to Verizon and hope someone will stop this craziness....Who does this crap at the beginning of the holiday season?

Can we get a class action going to sue these liars who keep sending unwanted/bogus texts to our cell phones that we have to PAY for?  I got one on 11/19/2012 @ 3PM that states, "Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code of 6354 to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24 hours." It was utter BS.

Received a call on my cell phone saying that I had won a Target gift card.

Got one at 3:52 am on a Sunday morning

This number called and said I won 1000 dollar gift card from Target last month.  I don't remember signing up and the website they gave was targetcontests.com.  I would not trust any come on from a corporation not using the general website, ie, target.com.  Any difference from that could be an unrelated website.

same here got a text on my cell phone saying my entry won last month. i never entered targetcontests.com how did i win? how did they get my cell number? received Nov 16, 3:36 am.       3:36  am............ what is wrong with these ppl i say we all sue them.   sick of unwanted call.  (and text)

got a message this morning saying i won a $1000 target gift card.  of course, not true.

Just got the same email, telling me that I won a gift card from Target. Since I don't shop there I knew it had to be a scam, but glad I have a place to check with. Thanks for the info.

Got the same message today about the Target card.  Glad I googled.

Got the TEXT at 5:39 A.M. this morning.  It stated I had won a 1000.00 gift card.  WON -  said to go to site TargetContests.com    I did ... yep... apply for this, apply for that.... but of crap.  I saved everything - on paper, I will be contacting my police and sheriff dept to see if there are charges that can be filed.   phone number mssg was sent from   619-573-5992       searching for it led me to this site.

I also received this text at 7:00am... did not enter anything and tried the website which of course it timed out.. so I know that is BOGUS... wish we could stop these morons...

I got a text at 3:30 am on Nov. 11, 2012 about the wal-mart gift card.

got the same message at 7am this morning.  Said I won from an entry from last month.  Problem is - I made no such entries.  Remember - nothing is ever free in life!

got a text from this number telling me a friend entered me to win a FREE WalMart gift card.  It also gave a website and a code to enter.  THIS IS A SCAM!!  Found this number on other sites linking back to free gift cards to BestBuy.  I love GOOGLE  :-)
