It sounded like an older guy.  He said my fiance's name and hung up.

Calls at least every other day.

These people keep calling me and hanging up! I am on a do not call list. I want this stopped! I have no debts and they have a wrong number but they won't stop calling.

I don't know who's more pathetic; the dongs calling, or some of the posters here who think they're scaring the callers by saying, "I going to report you to FAA", or "I know where you calling from" (get a f'ing clue!!). I like to tell them I would like an order of chicken vindaloo, or ask them if they could help me de-frag my hard drive. Get creative & they won't be calling you back.

My wife and I have been receiving phone calls from this phone number, and other 619 (San Diego, CA) area numbers for the past 3 months from some guy with a heavy Indian accent asking for my wife by name. My wife has told this guy numerous times that she did not want his services and to take her off his call list, but this guy is persistent and keeps calling, at least once a week. I've been answering the last 4 or 5 calls and I tell the guy that I know my wife asked him to take us off his call list, and the guy gets real belligerent and starts getting smart with me, and hangs up. I think this guy is sick in the brain because why would you continue to call someone that doesn't want your business? I just wish I can track this guy down. I have tried calling these numbers back and get a recording saying the number is not in service. I am going to call Verizon to see if they have a solution to this matter.

I received a call from 619-578-2903, and did not recognize the number, so I did not answer. The call originated from San Diego, CA.

A woman with a thick foreign accent asked for my husband. When I replied that he was not home, she hung up before I could get any further info. The number says it is disconnected when I called it back. I am on a do not call list.

I had the exact same experience...then when you call it back the number is "disconnected"

keep getting calls from this number - when you try to call back the number doesn't work...how is that possible?  I'd like one of these numbers to "hide behind"  how does the phone company allow this???  Calls early in the morning so no scruples and obvisouly doesn't play by the rules.  Finally this morning I answered - he asked for me by name but I said "no one lives here by that name" since I had already read this blog and figured out they were phising for info....he said "ok sweety" and then stayed on the line for several minutes while I kept asking who was calling.....no response and then he hung up.  I plan on contacting the BBB, AG's office and the phone company to see if there is anything that can be done - these people should not be allowed to harras citizens like this.

I got tired of this number so i called my phone company and set up for selective phone number block. it should stop that stupid calls.

I love getting calls like these.  I make it a game to keep them on the phone as long as I can and to see if I can get them to hang up on me.  First I tell them I can't hear them and I'm going to switch phones.  I make them wait while I "switch" phones.  Then I make them speak up.  Whatever they ask, my answer makes no sense.  If they ask about my debt, I tell them no one is dead.  What do you mean?  You get the idea.  Make it a game and they quit calling.  Until you are bothering them, they'll just keep calling.

Received call on May 6, 2010.  Number was unknown so I didn't answer.  Caller hung up.  No message

Got a call form some Indian do***e bag from this number. Told me he got info from Pennsylvania National Credit Bureau about additional CC debt I have. Did not know a state was national, but hey I only speak english as a first language. Also, I have no CC debt so that right there says he was a douche. I told him to remove me from all call and mail lists and he hung up.

Same thing as everybody else.  The guy called me a "dumbhead"  because I would not listen to him.
I reported the call to the "Do Not Call" list.

Received my first call today from this number. Lady with a heavy Indian or Hindu accent and a bad connection. I could not understand anything she was saying due to the static on the phone. She would keep talking and trying to discuss something about a "bank" and "paying us now".  What little I did catch, I realized that it was not an authentic call so I once again said I couldn't hear or understand her and hung up.  

In the beginning of the conversation, she kept asking me to confirm my name which I didn't do. I asked her who she was which she refused to answer and kept asking me if I was the name she was requesting. She finally gave up trying to get me to confirm my name and began talking quickly. However, as mentioned before, the line was filled with static and she had such a heavy accent that I simply hung up.  

I called the number back 3 time, and it was "out of service". I looked the number up on white pages and it is listed as a CA number.

I received this number phone call couples times a week, it rings for several seconds then hang up, it is very disturb.  Government should do something to stop this kind of phone call, waster our time and money.

just called me, speaking in HEAVY Indian accent, I OWED $  etc. Told him I was on do not call registry and don't have any credit cards, hung up.  Googled for the fun of it and confirmed the scam, phone phishing, I did  call the number back, but its not their phone - they must splicing into that guys line.

This same guy with a heavy accent called me. He said that he was with American Financial Trust.   He had a list of my bills and started asked fish for my information.  I asked him how he got my phone number, and why he was calling me form San Diego.  That shut him up and got his off the phone real fast.

I just got that call, the same man I told him I wasn?t interested and hung up .He called me right back and said you don?t deserve it you bi*** go ahead and hang up on me again.Itried to call him back and the # said not in service.

Got a call from this guy, its a SPOOF number, and fake.  The guy said hello on my voicemail then hung up.
No way to do anyhting with them

They keep calling--I have told them I'm not interested. The Indian transferred me to an American-I politely told him, I'm going to hang up. He's burning up my phone calling back. It appears to be a marketing company. How do they get around the fact that I'm on the DO NOT CALL list?

We're getting several calls a day for the last few days. The last caller said that she was from Choice America and was calling about unsecured debt. When I ask them to remove us from their calling list, they all hang up. All of them have American names but are difficult to understand as they all have heavy Indian or Pakistani accents.

I've filed complaints with the Do Not Call registry but I doubt that anything will come of them.

Yes I received the same calls...They are now hanging up before I can answer.  This is a scam to get your personal information....DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE...Report them to the BBB

This number call twice today, when answered no one is on the line.

Called a few times, I finally answered and a guy with a Hindu accent started telling me how he can help with my CC debt. Unless he plans on paying it, he cannot help. After a confrontational dialogue about how this was or was not an unsolicited telemarketer call, I told him that I don't need his help and did not want to talk to him. He said he did not want to talk to me either and he hung up. Hopefully he got the point. Since I do not think that they work for free, must be a telemarketer?
