I had a text message from person Robert  number 1-213-290-6246 and  he try to connect to me on YM and tellm me i got job, ans they sent me he employment letter , but i did not get any. Then this person try to ask me to go buy something and money will be refund, but i said i will not do anything untill i will not get job. So want to pay me, but not sure it will going to happen...  will anybody had  call from this number??

On Fri 08.16.13 I rec?d an email from Robert Michalk representing Essential Venture Essences Capital, after my most recent encounter with a David Gaul (gadav@blantoninc.com) representing an HR rep for a confidential company and directing my to contact Lisa Branham (hiring mgr) through IM screen name hirindpt101@yahoo.com  I found these individuals to be liars and con artist.

I was offered an Administrative Assistant position with 1Link Automotive, the arrangement was that I work from home until the office which is under construction is complete.  They would send me a check to purchase the necessary items to get me up and running immediately.

I received a check and questioned why I could not verify the address of the sender, who was an individual and not a company, that question was never answered.  My second question was why is it the check reflects the name of a company not associated with 1Link Automotive; the so-called hiring manger stated that her boss owns both companies.  I henceforth contacted the company who was on the check and found out that the check did not belong to them, it was fraudulent.

The intent was for me to deposit the check and once the funds were available, withdrawal the money and send Money Grams to specific individuals to purchase items needed to set up the home office.  Realistically once I withdrew the money and sent it out, the fraudulent check would bounce and I would be left holding the bag to replenish the money out of my pocket; fortunate for me I lost no money.

I will not divulge the name of the company who was on the check because of an active investigation.  I have all the IM messages, emails messages and supporting documentation which I have complied to support the police report that I?ve filed, and will take it up the line as far as possible.

BEWARE of any offer that reads in this manner, and look up as much information as possible, most likely it?s a scam, the wording most times is a dead give-a-way, those who compile these messages use poor grammar and bad spelling.  KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.   :  )

I received a response from John Mullican for a position that pays an unusually high hourly wage to be a Nanny for his 6 yr old.  Originally it was for 6 yr. old twin girls, then it was only one girl. ???  He wanted me to either email him or text him.  The number I was to text was 619-621-8868.  The email is:  JohnMullican8845@gmail.com

I have sent a report to the Austin Police Department as well as Sittercity.com.  He also has a post on TaskRabbit.com for a person to run errands for his mother.  On that one, he has a picture.  It's probably not even him.

This number is being used in Austin on Sittercity and TaskRabbit.  In both cases 'John Mullican' is claiming to have a job either for a Nanny or a delivery/errand person.  He is offering $27-$35 for the Nanny position.  Of course you need to contact him on his cell or by his email to set up an interview.  Problem is, the information he originally gave about his daughter is that there were two who were special needs.  When he contacted me for an interview, there was only one daughter. ????  I Googled his cell phone and found someone had the same story with the Nanny job.  She said he was a scammer and to stay away!

I also received the following email from Edward twice. Once in April and then again in May.  He also sent an email with a detailed questionnaire and indication that they are paying $35 per hour for temporary work from home and after a couple of months to transistion to the new office as soon as it is set up.  
I also received a new email from a different person and different company but with nearly identical wording.  I checked the IP locations on both emails and found they originated in the Netherlands and Berlin.  

I am looking for a job and did send my resume to "Edward" but after the second email, something told me not to go any further and I didn't provide them with any more info, they sounded too good to be true.  I wish I were more tech savvy to put a crimp in their style.  Good luck to you all.

Never ever give out information like this over email, any personal information can be used to help steal your identity. As well as any job where they say work from home, is most likely to be bs and a scam. Anything where someone is going to give you money, certified check, etc, it will be there way of getting to your bank account and in a lot of cases you can probably cash the check,but will have to end up repaying it back later when you find out the money isn't really yours to use. This person as well found me on careerbuilder.com, so they get very clever, in their ways. In this day and age no stranger is going to just hand you a job and offer you one without jumping through some hoops.

I noticed this too!  But then I look up the email and I see:  1. the job is listed on a website as an advertised opening, however, it's in Texas and the job itself is no longer available!  2. the email address is the same and so is the name of this guy.  So, if the job is no longer available, how is it possible that they are offering it to me????  This is a shame...especially with employment and the economy the way it is... these f*ckers are taking advantage of the unemployed/underemployed.

I also received an email, but after sending my resume from a job site.  Yes, I answered the interview questions, even though I noticed the grammar and spelling errors - just to prove it to myself.  I even looked up the website for Essential Venture Essences Capital and they have a website and are looking for someone to fill a position, but when you look at their "branch offices" they have companies that have different names and are in different industries - essential oils, essential aesthetics, essential flooring, etc.  I think the game changed, as although he IS asking for my info under the guise of "payroll", he is telling me he will send me money to purchase equipment needed for the job - sounds like they want me to deposit a check and take the rest to send back.

wow  he just send me an email offering employment . I knew this was a scam! I even went as far as to answer the interview questions just to prove myself right. Immediately at 9:30PM at night I get an email saying my interview question was reviewd by the board . When? at 9:00 Pm the board returned back to work to meet together just to review my questions. lol please. Also goes soley off of answers to questions when hiring in this day and age. SCAM for sure ! Its ashame he would try to take advantage of people seeking employment to rip them off.

I'd also say that from what I've read online and from what my friends have told me, Michael Edward almost exclusively approaches women for this work-at-home position.  Again, that seems like a scammer who is trying to take advantage of women who stay at home with children.

If this is a legitimate business, I challenge Michael Edward to provide proof:  a TIN or a listing in Dunn and Bradstreet or a listing on the Better Business Bureau.  Even when I had my own small business, I could provide all three of these.  If Essential Venture Capital Corp is such a large, healthy, wealthy company, why doesn't it appear to exist?  They only place you'll find it on the internet is under "scammers" and on their own, poorly designed and poorly written website.

Yes, it appears to be a scam.  Michael Edward AKA Edward Matthew first sends an unsolicited email about a great work-at-home job opportunity.  His email contains a great number of grammatical and structural errors.  Eventually, he'll run you through an interview process, send you forms to fill out, and begin to set up an equipment "loan."  This is where I imagine they get you--or perhaps it's during the direct deposit.  What they end up getting is your name, your address, your phone, your signature, and your bank account information.  If you check their Essential Venture Capital Corp website, you'll see they list 1000 North Main Street, Mansfield, TX 76063 as their Corporate Address.  This is Mouser's corporate headquarters; I do a lot of business with Mouser, so I recognized the address.  When I called Mouser, they knew nothing about Esssential Venture Capital Corp.  Also, the parent company of Mouser--Berkshire Hathaway--had never heard of Essential Venture Capital Corp.  If you check the BBB for Ft Worth/Mansfield TX, you won't find Essential Venture Capital Corp.  Also, nothing in Dunn and Bradstreet. Much of the wording under EVVC's About-Us web page is lifted directly from Mouser's website.  Using Google Map, I searched for the other addresses listed on Essential Venture Capital Corp's website.  At least two of these were personal residences.  For a company that supposedly has millions in assets and controls billions, they certainly seem amateur at best.  My guess is that these guys--if they are a legitimate business--are buying and reselling parts from Mouser.  If this is the case, they should just state it directly.  As it is, their business sounds a whole lot like a scam.

I went to the website.  I was impressed so I called the "headquarters" in Texas.  They never heard of this company and they are not affiliated with them.  They are affiliated with the company Berkshire Hathaway Inc..  So I called that company and they said that Essential Venture Capital Corp. is not one of their subsidiaries  and to stay away from them.  This is unfortunate, it was a perfect fit for what I was looking to do.

I received this same memo, except mine is Edward Matthew.  I looked into it, and when you call the number there is a strange voice on the end which definitely doesn't sound like a company.  The address is a residence, and you can see it if you go to Zillo.  I checked it out with the Better Business Bureau, and they don't have any complaints, but they are only listed since January with 1 employee, despite the impression implied in the letter that there is a staff, and didn't register with the BBB.  I really don't know what information they hope to steal, because they don't ask for any information from you which isn't available through the yellow pages.  However, it's safe to assume something smells here.
