Hangup call yet again 429 pm today.

Called my cell phone and left no message.

Received a call from this number last month and still not interested.  Where are they getting our phone numbers????? Came over caller ID as San Diego CA.

Just called and said nothing.  SOOO frustrating.

Another hangup call today from these geniuses.  247 pm today.

I now answer all calls and immediately place them on "Hold" if I do not recognize the number...

Called, didn't leave a voicemail, caller ID came up as San Diego, CA.

Recorded message about HARP left in my voice mail, I didn't bother listening to the whole message. Added this number to my blacklist.

Once again Sherriem and I find ourselves called by the same number.  I'll bet she and I are actually neighbors, or at the very least, have phone numbers only a few digits off, so that the robodialers get to us on the same day!  There was no message left from my call, at 1220 pm today.

9/03 17:42  6th crap call today.  This time robo HARP program.   There is no ID, just repeat of phone #.  These days I don't answer my phone at all unless I'm expect  a call or recognize number.

More calls from these DNC violators. Didn't answer and never will. These douc*bags  clearly annoy people playing their telephone games - they should be heavily fined and shut down.

If you have Caller ID there is no reason to answer calls from numbers that you do not recognize. If it is a legitimate company that needs to contact you then they will leave a message. I do not answer any of these unknown calls and the numbers usually stop calling after a few attempts and most never attempt a call again.  I block or call forward the very few that just don't accept that I will not answer unknown calls.

I opted out at the DMA website - didn't have to pay a fee.

It may be slow, but it does happen! The more complaints filed the better!

The DNC does do its job! People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the dnc does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

Received a call from this number on my cell.  FYI: the Do Not Call Registry does not work.  It's very broken.  I read an article a couple of weeks ago that the Federal Trade Commission is unable to keep up with the illegal robocalling technology.  They cannot track down these crooks.  I've been posting this info: For mailings the Direct Marketing Association is one of the biggest marketeers of our personal info and probably for selling our phone numbers to these scammers.  What's really interesting is the fact they charge the consumer when you try to opt out of their listings.  They are making money from both sides.  That should be illegal. There are other companies that compile listings of our info for "marketing purposes".  The best thing to do is not answer these calls and specifically state when you have to give out your personal info such as a phone number that you do not want your info sold/shared or rented. Basically, you are not for sale.

I've heard this message before [we don't pick-up, but it goes to the answering machine].  

I'm pretty sure I've blocked the caller before, so the calling number may spoofed.

It's not the fault of the DNC Registry that scofflaws  violate it.  It is just a list of numbers. Nothing mechanical nor a law enforcement tool.   Simply A list that legitimate companies purchase in order to honor the requests of those who wish not to be called.   Nothing more. Honest legitimate companies do honor it too.

More stupid unsolicited calls. Yet another violator of the DO NOT CALL LIST hiding behind "Unknown" on caller ID. Anybody that does not identify their business on caller ID is a fraud or some type of scam. These do*che bags that annoy people and play telephone games need to be heavily fined and shut down.

I received a call at my home number in reference to a home loan left no
message I called the number back to get information. Be for warned.

Robocall offering info on the government HARP program. I don't and never have had a delinquent home loan so I know this is illegal telemarketer activity.

Made the mistake of picking up from ext. with no ID. Recording told me I was eligible for a Govt.-backed loan. Had a sub prime loan (no more) was contacted by my lender URGING me to refi to a Federal Veteran's Affairs loan, no fees etc. Anything to get rid of me and let the Govt. take the loss. No deal, they got it back. This spiel sounded the same. I hung up. Also on DNC list.

Just called. ID says "Out of Area" - the area code IS my local area code.

619-704-8516 8/19/13 405pst- Caller ID just reads "unknown name". Sorry, no go-I just click 'answer' then put the phone down & click 'off' 3 minutes later. They don't call back.....usually lol !!!
