Sun Trust?

Just like the others, got a call on my cellphone. Was a recording saying my Suntrust check card was supended because of fraud - press 1 to re-activate. I called Suntrust instead and they told me there was a scam calling people on Verizon cell phones. Said my card was actually OK, but never give out any card info over the phone on cold calls like this.

recieved call saying credit card suntrust lost.  said push 1  i hung up called number to see if there was a connection.  no connection no voice mail

Called at midnight -- said Suntrust card was suspended (just like above) and to press 1...didn't press 1 but hung up.  First call was to a landline in Knoxville -- second call was to Verizon cell phone linked to the landline #.   Don't fall for this scam -- they are seeing if people will press 1 --assuming that if you press 1, you an easy target or you might actually be a Suntrust customer.    Report this to Suntrust security at 800-SUNTRUST.

They have tried to reach me for days now...  i do not answer calls i do not recognize.  they called at 9pm tonight and i am so aggravated considering that i just had gotten the baby down for sleep, of course the phone call was enough to arouse her.  Being a tad ticked off, i answered it this time... and low n behold, "your debit card has been suspended"  what a bunch of low life people to think that i would fall for their scam... but the sad thing is there are those that will.... and will lose every dime they have to these SCUM ... just makes me so mad!  be careful you nice people of SCUM like this... vermon, c*** roaches, bed bug creeps and just plain awful...

Called at 6:55 PM EST...I did not answer; no message.

This number called me twice saying the same thing about my Suntrust credit card being lock and needed me to enter a current card number...not having any accounts with Suntrust and realizing this was a phishing call just to hopeing to get some unsuspecting person with a Suntrust account to give up their info..

I entered a bogus card number, didn't get far as they must have a way of checking if it really was a credit card and then they hung up.  I'm going to try a few other numbers if they call again and see where it takes me...good luck to all and don't let the scammers take your bucks!!

Called my cell with a recored message saying my Suntrust account had been closed-I have no Suntrust account.

I got a call last nite at 2045 hours, ETZ, and said my Sun Trust Visa had been suspended due to "Security Concerns."  "Press 1" to speak to a security representative.  Pressed 1, and it said "Press 1 to re-activate your card."  I have no card from Sun Trust, and just hung up.  Reported this to the FTC.  They also called my wife's and 12-year old son's phones, too, within the same hour.  They called on our Verizon wireless phones.  Verizon stated that "they had not been hacked, and we take your privacy seriously."  OK

Number appeared on my cell phone

This number called me at 4:45 am and then again at 5:45 am.  I am angry!!!  Who is it and why?

Called my extra cell line we got for our 9 year old son.  We monitor all his calls so we know he didn't initial this. Called at 10:52 pm and woke him up. No vm left. If its a suntrust scam that's funny cause we don't have and nvr had an account with them. Also never have given this number to anyone other than family

This number just called AGAIN at 10:47 PM EST.  They've been trying to reach me over the past several days, but I haven't been answering it as I did not know the number (I only give my cell phone out to friends).  No messages were left.

I have gotten 3 calls from this number with the SunTrust message tonight as well... (I've not been on Craigslist)

They called I said hello twice and they hung up

I'm wondering if this caller got all our phone numbers because we have been on Craig's List. I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize.

Called and when I answered hung up.

Weird. just called me, by the time i answered I guess they gave up?

called me and said my sun trust card was cancelled and wanted my checking account debit card to verify my account. I don't have a sun trust card. they then called my cell phone number several times. I tried to call back and there was no mail box set up. I will contact my bank in the morning. Fraud Department.

got the same call and the same message about suntrust debit card was left. wonder if anyone has more info on the source.

called at 7:30pm ET on cell phone and did not leave message. Saw the previous posts about SunTrust debit cards- I just applied online for a job @ SunTrust yesterday. Coincidence? Have any previous posters applied for a job with them recently?

Called twice...no one answered the first time...second time I ignored the call and no message was left..glad I did....this was today about 5:00 EST.

This number called my cell phone.  Caller hung up when I answered.

Received a call at 1:10 AM (!) that my Suntrust debit card was suspended.  I hung up before listening to the full message.
