criminals are now added  to PRO call blocker version 2.0...the best $59 you will ever spend.
1200 number blocking capacity..up to 10 area codes can be blocked...also you can block criminals with no phone numbers on their caller ID.
blockers with 50 or 60 number capacity..you will run out of numbers in a couple of months.
FCC is in bed with these criminals:
1-do not answer the calls that you do not recognize.
2-search on awesome websites such as this one,for the phone number and once you see the numbers here,
3-stop wasting your time with useless reports and complaints and buy a good blocker.

Even if your answering machine picks up they know that they've hit an active number. But it doesn't make any difference: They'll keep calling even if it *isn't* an active number because it costs them virtually nothing and the phone company could assign it to a new customer tomorrow.

These scamers crack me up. They often use the some woman (same voice) for each of their scams. We can recognize her every time. We never pick up and we never press any number to "opt out". If you do, then they know that this is an active line and they will keep calling.

Got a call at 3:10pm today my husband answered the phone. It was something to do about mortgage he hung up. How can we report these numbers it's every day getting tired of all the calls and they don't talk when you answer or if you don't answer and wait for the answer machine to come on they hang up. I am getting tired and frustrated with all these calls every day..Is there a way to block these numbers?

Me too, though I think this is a new number for me.  I was home sick today and, clever me, had the ringers all turned off, so I never heard them call at 541pm.  Their robodialer is too stupid to know it has reached my machine, so I later heard the message mid-way through.  The usual scam about mortgage, HARP, blah blah blah.  Now, once I'm feeling better I plan to improve on my cleverness and buy a call blocking phone or device!

I got one of those Panasonic phones and quickly filled its list. Need more space! So I bought a T-Lock Call Blocker (costs $50-$60; Google and you'll find them), which will hold something like 1500 numbers, and I'm happy with that. There are other devices too; search Amazon and eBay and Google for "call blocker" and several variants come up, but I like the T-Lock.

If you can afford the money, I strongly suggest getting a Panasonic DECT 6.0 telephone for your home. It has "Caller ID" and better yet, has "Call Blocking" which allows you to block 20 numbers at any one time on your system.

Once you list the area code and number under 'Call Blocking' on your home telephone, you will only hear one or two rings, then the blocked caller hears a busy signal or annoying FAX-like tone.

I keep 20 numbers on there at any one time, rotating them as needed. Delete the oldest and add the new creep.

You can buy these on-line at Amazon.com or other vendors, and at Costco, Best Buy or Fry's.

BLOCK THE BOTTOM FEEDERS FROM BOTHERING YOU AGAIN LIKE I DO!!

I have had the same number for 50 years or so and just changed my landline number to the cell phone.  Works just fine and everyone that matters has my number.

Does it NEVER stop?!!!!!!!!  I pay now to keep a landline ONLY for these scamming scumbag freeloaders....I rarely use it and only keep it for "emergencies" and for the elderly people in my family who don't use cell phones and who only know my landline phone for the last 25 years & would be befuddled and lost if I dropped the number.  One of these days........

Another mortgage loan scammer - whatever you do, don't press "8" to get your name "off their list" because your telephone will receive twice as many calls because you just confirmed to them they have 'a live one.' Do not answer these calls unless you want to have some fun with these losers and play them along for awhile before you put them on hold - ah hem - indefinitely.
