Same information as above, confirm last four of visa, (what visa? the visa ending in XXXX, are those the last four numbers?),. confirm address? We are going to send you a $100 gift card.

I have called the FBI,FCC.,FTC and attorney general in California and filed a complaint. Same women and different numbers: Ontario, Canada 613-333-3456, Camas, Washington 360-210-3456 and 888-777-5544. I have registered for the do not call hope this works!

We have been getting the same calls from Global Rewards.  They say we have won a $100 gift card and want to confirm information.  As stated above they have the last 4 digits of a credit card, an unlisted home phone number, and address.  I've asked not to be called back but they keep calling.  I don't have caller id on the home phone number, it rarely is even used.  Just seems to much like a scam to me so I'm not giving them any more information about me.

I did not get the opportunity to caller ID them, but it is definitely the same scam, but they call my work number (thus, no caller ID).  I have asked them at least four times not to call, but they keep trying.  I put my phone number on my state's DO NOT CALL list.  So far, so good there, but they keep calling me at work.

Its a marketing scam..of some sort.
If you try calling the number back there is not an option to talk to someone, just an option to opt of the calling list.

I missed the first call and an hour later the number called back so I answered it.

IT IS COMPLETE B.S. IN MY OPINION

Context:  A few months back I signed up for a free sample of a tooth whitening product. There was a shipping charge so I gave the company a card number to cover the cost.

TODAY: THE 619-801-8147 PHONE CALL: They will reference the last 4 digits of one of your credit card numbers (The only way they had this info was from the tooth whitening product purchase from months back). The guy on the phone was a Hispanic sounding gentleman by the name of "Dain Smitt" I wasn't buying it.

He said "based on your good standing you have earned "X" reward". Mine was a 120 dollar gas voucher. A Red flag immediately went up.

I asked questions and the guy on the other end of the call mention a stack of paperwork that comes with the voucher but that you do not have to sign up...blah blah blah. He really didn't want to talk about it and only wanted my address.

THE PHONE CALL THAT I RECIEVED WAS MADE TO CONFIRM MY CURRENT ADDRESS so that I COULD GET my "reward". I would not confirm a thing and they had the address wrong. I ask the "rep" what his phone number was and then I asked him to repeat it, and he rattled of two completely different numbers! Neither number was close to one another.

I started asking the guy on the phone questions, origins of his information, I asked for his supervisor, and he keep saying the same lines over and over, and then he told me I was wasting HIS TIME and hung up on me.

Long story short....I had to cancel the card number that he referenced a few months ago b/c of the free tooth whiting sample incident. The whiting company tried to auto charge me monthly for a full service when I only wanted to try a free sample. I caught the charge the first time it posted.

Now out of the blue the card is coming back to life?! Its total B.S. don't by into it.

Just my thoughts on the matter....hope it helps someone else.

My number could only have been given out when I registered my Wii.
Stupid Stupid  Stupid.   I've had this number for eight years, and now I'm getting bombed with every freakin sales number there is.   And of course, changing numbers is peobably only going to get me someone else's headaches.
I'm going to find out if there's any way I can caller block everyone except numbers in my phone book.

Well I had a call not long ago from these people "Global Rewards" saying they were going to send me a gift card for $100 for Rubys and she knew my adress and the last 4 digits of a MC that I dont even have.I think it was an old account i cancelled when i ordered something online and it was like a scam so I asked her so many times how she got my information and i yelled at her saying i didnt want anything from them and hung up. This is scary stuff.

What I was able to get out of the woman calling me with all your same details above. is that they want to send the free gifts and with it will come "an opportunity to save more money".  I suppose it will be some type of card or service that you pay a fee for to get discounts at local stores.  She assured me that I do not have to purchase it and can still spend the free gift card.
I declined because, if by agreeing to let them mail it me, I suspect they can say I agreed to receive whatever they are selling, otherwise why are they asking permission instead of just mailing the gift cards and the offer for whatever they sell?
I do not think you have to worry about them accessing your cards. They only have the last 4 digits and they cab tell me if it is a VISA or MC or what bank it is with.  I believe they get our name and last 4 digits of or credit card from a store or online purchase we made.
Tonight I told her very clearly, "I understand the offer, I am declining and do not want the free gift.  Please take me off your call list".  We'll see if they call again.
What I would really like is for someone to post here that accepted the free gift card and what they actually got in the mail.  My fear is that it obligates you  to some other type of credit card or purchasing service that has a monthly charge.... and that it will be very hard to get out of.

Good to hear I am not alone.  Thanks for the post!

They are a FAKE.!    (866-4912180) This is a number I got on my caller ID (866-4912180)

i just got a call from these folks too and quite honestly i'm pissed off about it.  some woman called with a heavy spanish-sounding accent, calling me by an incorrect name, and then quickly began reading off the last four digits of my card, telling me i had won $120 for being an active consumer  and then tried to get me to verify my address.  that alarmed me right off the bat because, for one, she called me a name different than the one that's on my card, and two, how did she know so much of my information?  so when i started asking her questions, she just kept trying to talk over me, not answering any of my questions, and kept trying to get back to verifying my information.  i was able to get the company name 'global rewards' from her though.  i ended up hanging up on her and immediately called my bank.  my bank is not aware of this at all and advised me to keep an eye on my account, although they shouldn't be able to make any charges or whatnot with only the last four of my card number.  this lady has since called my phone two more times in the following ten minutes, so beware because obviously these folks are aggressive!

Not answering is not going to make them stop calling. Answering and telling them you aren't interested isn't going to make them stop calling. You have to tell them to put you their do not call list.

Telling them that you no longer have that card and that you want the gift card wouldn't work you have to have a card which is active in order to receive anything.

I got a call that mirrors the posts above 2x today. They knew the last four digits of my credit card and mailing address.  I immediately called my bank and canceled my credit card.  The phone number on Caller ID was 978.570.2075 and said it was Global Rewards company.  I asked them where they got this type of info and they said from a "marketing partner".  I know it was from the Acai Berry product I almost got scammed on.

The first time these people called, it was an indian sounding man and I actually gave him a lot of info, even though red flags were sounding in my mind because this wasn't my bank calling, wanting to talk to me about my bank card ending in XXXX.  After he got my info, he said I need to be forwarded on to his supervisor before I could receive the "gift", the supervisor sounded American and spoke English well, but he asked me the same identical questions as the man prior.  At this point I just hung up.
Some days they don't call, some days they call between 2 and 11 times.
Today I demanded for the caller to provide me their address, she spoke very poor english and it was really hard to understand but what I got was: Global Rewards, 2963 Fall Creek Blvd., Clear Water (Tampa), FL
and my caller ID shows 619-801-8147.
Next time they call I might tell them I closed that card ending in XXXX, but I still want the gift card... I intend to give them their own phone # and address in place of mine.
