They called and asked for my daughter who has not lived here in 12 years. Asked what he wanted and he said that he was with the fire department. I told him that she no longer lived here and then he got very nasty and said, "Then what the hell is so funny!" I hung right up and looked up the number. So tired of this, every day several calls from local (619) numbers trying to sell solar panels, windows and other home improvements. Calls coming in early in the day and late at night. We are on the do not call registry, but what good does it do!

I registered "do not call list" that never works for what we pay, so say "no" to any new projects when gov asks you to vote no matter how it sounds wonderful like those non-profit org-s I only donate to person I know and I know how he spends when I learned someone makes $300k a year from my donations

Wow! So you think you should get immediate feedback and then miracles on these scam calls stopped ? Do you think it should only take a hour like CSI? Man, real life sucks..   If you don't file, then they have nothing to go after. They won't have that information available to establish patterns, try to trace them down. And some of these if not most, are in foreign country's.. Not all of them are going to co-operate with the US as far as catching the bad guy's.  Even those that do still takes time. You may not be happy that it isn't all solved in a hour, but real life just doesn't work that way!  

I'd love to see them all shut down, and not all those calls are telemarketers either, scammers, extortionists fake computer tech's and more exist.  A lot of them aren't even in the us, more like India, Nigeria, Pakistan..

You don't get a reply from the DNC complaint, you generally will from the FTC and FCC complaints etc.  Charity's, survey's and political calls are exempt from the DNC, the DNC technically only keeps the honest business's from calling you!

You're just wasting you time - the government is too busy reading you email and listening to your calls to enforce the laws concerning telemarketing.  If you go to the Federal Trade Commision sites (FTC Do-Not-Call Complaint Registry) and file a complain and read their enforcement site they will have claimed to stop 'billions of calls' but they never talk about the billions of calls that get through.

Since most of these illegal scams are about money and most phone systems are digital, tracing them should be a slam dunk - the payments have to go somewhere - someone gets the money and someone pays the phone bills for the scammers. The reason the calls keep coming is that there is little chance of being caught and less chance of being convicted and punished.  If you were a really BIG political contributor to some party and controlled a lot of votes you could get the FTC's attention, but they could care less about you, all they have in Washington is excuses.

I have posted many very specific complaints on the FTC complaint site and never received feedback on any.

They have called me before 8.30 am for the past 3 mornings then numerous times during the day. I asked to be put on the do not call list and the man I spoke to said that he would.....then they called me back another twice that day! Then they rang back at 8.25 this morning. So sick of this!

This number has called my cellular phone about 3 times a day. I finally got through and it is a Solar company. They stated they would remove my number and if it continued to call (877) 435-6161.

I just called them back (some solar energy company) and asked them to remove my number from their call list. The guy who answered was nice and said he would promptly do so.

I have gotten so tired of sending them to vm and begging them to please stop calling, that I now simply blast them with the dirtiest most offensive rap songs I can find. They hang up pretty quickly. I can't wait until my 30 days passes on the do not call registry

This number keeps calling my cell phone. I called back and a young lady tells me this is the National Solar Initiative calling people to promote solar. I asked how she got my cell phone number and she doesn't know (auto caller). I asked her to remove my number from their calling list. We will see if they comply.

This ridculous group has called twice 2-3 times daily for a few weeks now. I spoke to them once, said not interested, will not work on my house, not going to happen, stop calling - still getting 2-3 calls daily.  Super abusive, not complying with teh Do Not Call laws.

I have several calls on my work cell phone. The first few had a recording "wait for next operator" over and over, very annoying. Now I'm getting calls with no one or machine responding, dead air. I need them to stop bothering me, now!!!

They kept asking for a person called Dee. Asked how they got my number but would never answer. Their calls are adding to my Cell Phone Bill.

Another number added to my "Ignore" contact. I recorded 2 seconds of complete silence as a ringtone and assigned the RT to my Ignore contact. No more issues.

Just got my first miss call from them ... oops make that 2 now ... I signed up on the do not call registry at  1-888-382-1222.. Aug is the month they are releasing all cell numbers for telemarketers .. signed up .. takes 30days to get them to stop calling.. if they call after that 30days you can file a complaint!

i did this last year and it stoped all telemarket calls on all my phones

Got a couple calls and a couple texts to call them. I never picked up. They never left message. I did some research and found this site.

This company or whatever has called my 82 year old mom 11 times in the last week.  They are trying to sell her windows or something.  They will not leave her alone.  She lives in an assisted living apartment that we pay rent for.  WTF?   to the last poster is your info correct on the person who is doing this?  I might just call him up in the morning.  on moms caller id they are ruthless pesks.  im gonna get em.  thx.

These ppl are based out of san diego and run a telemarketing boiler room.  I called them and asked to speak with a supervisor. " Kyle" gets onto the phone and I asked him to remove me from their calling list and also to provide me with a written copy of their do not call policy.  He informed me that he worked for a "green" company and would not waste the paper nor was he required to send me anything at all.  He asked for my email address and said he would forward my request to his supervisor.  He said he would remove my name from the list but would not provide a written copy of their do not call policy without me giving him my email addy.  He also stated that if I had answered the phone or spoken with his representatives that I wouldnt have gotten so many calls.  If this company calls me one more time I am filing suit vs them in small claims court.   I Have determined their agent for service of process from the CA Sec. of State website.   I am not playing this game anymore.  Will post any updates.
