This company has been harrasing me at work very rude, and agressive. I offered my attorney information, He said I need a criminal attorney. Then said he will have me loose my job. They wont stop calling. I am so frustrated.

Got the same call last week, only the number they left was 619-292-8263. Same guy, Raven Russo. Said that "it was of a time sensitive nature and that I needed to call him back immediately, or have my retained attorney call him back, or he could only wish me luck with what happened to me." So I called back a few hours later and got into it with the guy. I was bounced around for a few minutes, then they asked what number I was calling from. When I finally got the guy on the line he acted surprised, "no one has informed you of this case against you?" First he said I was a suspect in check fraud, then that American Pay Day loans was bringing a suit against me for some ridiculous amount of $8k. He started to read from some "affidavit," then I asked who he represented, and he said legal services of orange county. I asked why he had a 619 number if he represented a firm in Orange County, where the prefix is 949 (I grew up in Orange County); 619 is a San Diego number. He got offended and said good luck in court, or something to that effect. Initially I was worried because I probably did get a payday loan 5 or 6 years ago, but I realized that any legitimate law firm would have their phone number, address and name on record, and none of these numbers or names checked out. Also, the CA statute of limitations for debt collection is 3 years.Now that I have read these other complaints I know that this guy is a fraud for sure. He called me again this morning from an "unavailable number" (another red flag) at 6:40 AM and left the exact same message. When he calls back again I'm going to answer it and call his bluff and make sure he doesn't call back again. Anyone have any luck in locating this guy or his firm? I did a reverse search on 411.com and could only confirm that it's a landline in National City.

I keep getting these calls but got an email that knew of them and numbers to report and they have been getting alot.

Got a call...same number, same guy named "Alex", same threats! Will not calling my work and scaring the people I work with who happen to care about me. Want it to stop!

I got a couple of calls from this number at my work, but he said his name was Daniel Miller (probably the same guy). Told him I could not understand what he was saying, and he accused me of being unwilling to take care of my debt. He said he was with Legal Services of Orange County, so I called the California Bar Association.  The woman there told me to call them back and try to get the attorney's name for my case. "Daniel" was not there, so I was referred to Alex Young.  He gave me a name of an attorney but didn't know the license #.  I called the Bar Assoc. back, and they verified that he was a lawyer, just not one in Orange County.  They told me to call back and ask for proof of the debt to be sent to me or my attorney. I called back, and asked to have written proof faxed to me, and was informed that I could give my attorney their number and they would deal directly with him.  I informed them that I knew that under the Fair Debt Collections Act I was entitled to receive proof of the debt within 5 days of the 1st phone contact and that I was not going to proceed until I received such.  They hung up on me.

got this call telling me I owe money I'm on Disability the only money I have is for living expenses. This is a cam. I owe nothing since noone will give me money.

I received a call from this number on my personal cell phone requesting a lady whom I am assuming previously owned my cell phone number or they her number was entered incorrectly. When I answered the man stated his name was Kevin Miller with an attorneys office and I asked who he was looking for. He told me Ms. Hayes. I told him there was no one here by that name and he immediately hung up. It was number 619-863-4558. About 15 minutes later I get a number on my cell phone 0000 i answered it and it was the same guy stating to be an Alan or Alex I could not actually understand him he did not speak it clearly. I said Sir, you just called 15 min ago and stated you were Kevin Miller, there is no one at this number by this name could you please stop calling my personal cell phone. He hung up on me. He called back once more and before he even said anything I said look I've told you there is no one here by that name if you continue to harass me I will contact the police department and file a report. He hung up and so far no more phone calls, we'll see how it goes. If he had said my name I might have been curious but do some thorough research, first if you have a lawsuit in your name you will be served papers. If you have a loan they have to verify any collection effort. Please make sure you ask for this guys address so you can send a request for written proof of documentation.

Received a call from stated the same as below, I had until Tghursday otherwise a lawsuite with 3 counts will be filed against me.  Said it was from a loan company, American Pay Day.  Never had a loan with them.  Said $8,484.87 was amount to pay. Spoke with a Alex Young who said they do not do payment arrangements.  Company is Legal Services of Orange County.  Origional threatning voicemail said to call  619-863-4558 and ask for Neil.

Someone from this number keeps calling me.  They are telling me that I will be arrested and have to pay $1000 if this goes to court.  They said the police were going to come and pick me up and bring me to jail.  They are giving me 45 minutes to come up with the money.  They refuse to accept monthly payments.   I had previously been told that this debt was waived due to hardship and no charges would be filed.

WHO CALLED ME FROM THIS NUMBER

I had rcvd the same person, at first i was totallty paranoid like did i do something bad? But then again i thought about it how did they get my number and i remember from thise jobs listing i apply on craigslist , and some of them were scams and i figure thats how they got my whole name. Its was strange an indian guy with a name of alan anderson. And they call for some attorney thing i cant understand a word, if you say you are a lawyer you really need to take some english courses and pronounce correctly an speak clearly.

I received the same calls and lines about a lawsuit. I also asked what it was in regards to and I could not understand what he said...something about cash advance-- which I never took out. I called back and asked for company name and full address. I only got "legal services in orange county in chula vista, ca"...then I asked for street address and license number and the guy (with heavy accent) blurbed, told me to a get pencil and put on some weird hold music. When he got back on the line I said it give street address again, and he did the same thing. Finally I told William that I registered his number with the FTC and that if I was really being sued I wanted paperwork. He wanted to "confirm" my address; I told him he should already have it. Next I said that I had a police officer friend who's representing me and he'd be happy to discuss legal matters. The guy finally said he won't be calling my number.

Folks, it's really a scam. Save times and dates they call and any phone numbers they give you, then register with FTC or attorney general's office. They will get investigated. I also had my cell phone company register the number as scammer.

Today i recieved a phone call appears on my phone as 00, they left a voice mail. This indian accent guy daid he is calling for something and i need to get an attorney , he said i have to give him a call back if not there is nothing he can do but just to say good luck. Second he was rude over the phone and if it was something I did an attorney will be callig me from actually number and would be professional. Plus an indian guy with a name with Allan Anderson. He left his number 619-863-4558 for me to call him by today or else i will be sorry!!!

I just received a call from "William Smith" too..  They entertain me so..  Heard the voice mail and it was the same tactic they tried with me 2 weeks ago.  At that time I told them that I was going to record the call for the Attorney General.  They put me on the phone with the "manager" and I proceeded to tell him that I was ready to prosecute him for harassment and to send me documented proof of cashed or deposited funds.  He hung up on me. I guess he didn't want to talk to me anymore..  

They do need to be stopped.  There will be some good people who use payday loans frequently that are down on their luck that may believe this SCAM and pay in to it, only putting themselves further in to debt over a SCAM.  This is just sad..

And really?  William Smith, Kevin Miller, Alan Anderson?  All will foreign accents, heavy ones at that, and heavily broken English.  I must be in a bad "B" Movie..

Oh and by the way, when you listen to the call, you can tell that it is Voice Over IP, the number they give you is an alias and appears, in my case (619-863-4558) to be a number with Sprint, after doing some research.  I don't know of any offices that have terrible Voice Over IP systems and the call back office phone is a cell phone..  I'm just sayin'.  ;)

I have been dealing with these jerks all week. The number here as well as 760 300 4011, same guy different name...caller ID on phone will show up 0000 also.Now they have started calling my job,we put them on hold...say I owe money for a payday loan I never took out and have bank records to back it up.I did check on information a month ago about different loans on line, but financial issue was taken care of without needing one. They asked me how did we get your information if you did not take the loan,to which I replied maybe you guys are jacking peoples computers.Then this lying scammer gets mad cause I had the nerve to accuse him of being a liar and thief.I see a lot of other people are receiving the same calls. How do you stop them? I have saved the voicemails where they have threatened my job security and that I have to call in 2 hours or else. some guy named Raven Russo called twice and told to call him back. he told to call him back or his stupid atty at morgan and associates. that i some money from usa cash advance and i need pay them back.( i owe those fools anything). then he told me that are going to contact my place of residence or work.(good luck)

He goes by the name Alan Anderson now.  I asked him why he had an Indian accent and he hung up on me.

We need to pull together and stop this person from trying to scam us hard working citizens that work honestly unlike this person ( Kevin Miller ).

Yea I received a call from this foreign guy and I asked him that I needed to talk to a american that I could not understand what he was saying.  He said he would transfeer me to his supervisor in which this account was handled by and he put me on hold and came back on the line and it was the same person in whom I was speaking with at first.  His name that he stated was "Kevin Miller".  He said that I was in default and was going to get me for check fraud.  This is the second call I got and the first one was from a different company out of New York, New York and that was a scam too.  I am getting a lawyer tomorrow to look into this.  Got to stop this crap.  Money is tight and anybody will do anything to try and scam us hard working citizens.

I received a call from this number stating that my husband had some legal problem against and to call back immediately. He said his name was William Smith, eventhough he had an indian accent.

Foreign man that claims I am being sued for a cash advance that I did't get! I'm worried they have the last 4 #'s of my ss# & home address!!! I had a screaming match with the jerk and got hung up on twice.

Holy did not think my phone would stop ringing. Never answered. Called me 8 times in less then 5 minutes. Lady at the store I was with listened to the voicemail with me and said that has to be a scam. They called me last year around this time also. I had the local police call him back. He really needs to get a life. If he calls me back I will make sure he will not be able to hear again. Stupid man thinks I am going to fall for his games! Grow up and maybe learn to speak english better!

They called me and used many scare tactics but I knew it was a lie because I never applied for a loan through the company they were calling for.  I called the TX Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint and hope these guys will get stopped soon.  I hope no one falls for the BS these guys are throwing around.

Yeah, I just called that # again and it sounded like I woke him up. I asked what company was this ? and he said Legal Services. Couldn't understand what county, sounded like Orange county.
