We need to follow up on this NOW. It's against the law to harass people. Did you recently apply for a loan? I did - and I think that's where this is coming from. The call is from a landline in Mono Lake.

Just received two calls - one from 510 number and one from 619. Said that I had a criminal case filed against me and that they were going to show up to my job and have me fired. Or come to my home and beat me up. Called me a c***-sucker, n****r, etc etc. Horribly offensive and this needs to be stopped now. This only happened to me after I took out a pay day loan AND paid it back on time. Obviously a scam, and the police said I could file a report, which I did.

I got a call from this "Steven' He said he was going to call my boss and make sure that I was fired from my job.  He then said that the police would be there to pick me up in the morning and nothing could save me.  I told him that he is a scam and that if he would like to talk to the attorney general in the state of Kentucky he was more than welcome.  He then called my work and asked to speak to the manager.  I am the receptionist so I told him I was the manager.  He then told me that the police would be at the office to arrest me tomorrow. I know it is a scam

Called this number back had left a message for me at work.  When I got on the call some foreigner is on the line saying that the cops are going to come and arrest me at work I tried to figure out what company it's was and that they need to stop calling my work and he then proceeded to yell at me then hung up   What's is this crap!

This number call my work asking for one of my employees. Said his name was Alex Watson. Said my employee was going to be arrested tomorrow. I asked what for. He said it was confidential. I got a little bit cheeky with him and he started calling me the n-word. I'm white and born in the UK. He then put his phone on some sort of auto call and then it kept calling our place of business. It stopped after we ignored it for a while. He did call back after a while said he was selling ink cartridges sand needed to speak to a manager. When offered voice mail, he gave up.

"Steven George" from the Department of Legal Affairs and Investigations called and wanted to be put in contact with Shannon Peeples regarding a criminal lawsuit. I told him I didn't know all of our employees and our HR department was closed - could we contact him tomorrow?  (Knowing full well this was a scam.)  He said tomorrow would be too late, that they would have to proceed... with something.  Well, don't call us at 4:30 in the afternoon and want us to jump through hoops, you goober, even if you were legit.  "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part."  Regardless, I told him we would get back with him tomorrow.  But I bet he calls us back before we call him.  If you know what I mean.

Has called my cell, and my work with a ton of frustrating information... Acting like a Cop... Called the local cops with the 'Deputy's name etc....  Still calling my work.  How do I get this to stop.

HE HAS CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES. ALWAYS THE SAME.

DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE AGAIN.

Last week a "Steven  Smith" of Legal Affairs of Law Firm 619-924-0030 called my work and left message that he was calling about a "criminal investigation."  

Today "Officer Anna Jones" called my home and talked to my adult son, and told him that they would be taking his father to jail tomorrow.  Anna Jones called my office and my boss got the call.  Then it was transferred to me.  She said I needed to call Steve Smith back or a police officer was going to be at the office in 5 minutes to pick me up.  She even gave a badge number 1504 and said she was a criminal investigator.  But she wouldn't tell what the case was all about, or who had the case, and then they started to get mad threaten.  Asking ME for a case number.

He's going to have me arrested for criminal charges. I needed to give him my lawyer's name or he would also contact my employer. He didn't like the way I treated him so he would be sure to make me pay and that no one would be able to help me.

This caller with a heavy accent stated he had a legal matter. I stated what is this in reference to. He said you have to contact this other number for info if not I will just have to deal with the legal matters and be black listed. I asked what do you mean by black listed. The more questions i asked the more upset he was getting. He said that he was sending a police officer to my job tomorrow. I stated I do not work all he keep saying is he is having me arrested. I said send paperwork in writing he stated we can't have contact via mail. Its not the 1st time i have had this call. Now i just argue to aggravate them now. I end up blocking the number after.

claims to be Steven George, working for a law firm, the accent was so heavy I really couldn't understand him. He also called back 5 times and threatened to call my work and get me fired, funny I am on disability and have been all my life, in a wheelchair. I think he had Chinese or Japanese accent? When I told him I was going to pray for him, he laughed. Any other Christians reading this post please remember to pray for the man named Steven who laughs at God. The lord will do what FBI or FCC can't.

Please stop calling me saying that you are an officer.

These people called sating they would have my wife arrested tomorrow on criminal charges. They wouldn'tt tell anything else. Called them back several times and they said they were having me arrested for calling them back. I called back and they keep hanging up. Then I get 2 bogus calls from "emergency services" from 911.  Will keep calling them back and also notify federal authorities of attempted wire fraud.

They just called me this morning , from this number 3 times in a row, telling me that I was being sued and going to be arrested tomarrow morning and was going to be placed in jail for 6 months. The man had a very thick foreign accent, I could barley understanded him , then he tells me to call the number he had just called me from right back , so I did then I talked to an Alex Westson , who was supposbly the attorney handeling this lawsuit against me. When I asked what and who had placed this lawsuit on me he was very beligerent, so I placed him on speaker phone so my father could hear him then.I asked him countless of times why I was being arrested and even told him I have a child , then I said the S word and he became highly irate and said listen here you B, not only are you going to be arrested tomarrow but , I also am personally gonna make sure your dragged out of your home and beat . So I called my sheriffs office, and the dispatcher even called them to tell them to leave me alone , and they even cussed her out, Then I recieve a call from 911 , and it is another foreigner by the name of Anna Jones stating shes a sheriff and saying shes coming to arrest me tomarrow morning , I hang up cause my sheriffs office is calling me back then. After a few minutes pass Anna Jones calls me back , saying why did you hang up you B, and why did you call your local sheriff they cant help you now' I told her to come and arrest me then.... What is with people how can they be doing this , and getting away with it ?

They called several times to my work, which is a government agency and has taken the name and number down for legal purposes. They threatened to send our office legal council with jail, which they laughed at, if they didn't hear back from me immediately. As I attempted to return their call many times, the phone hangs up before anyone answers.  Our legal department will take the name given and follow-up with a formal complaint to the FTC and the FCC.

If he calls back again, tell him that the FBI is monitoring and recording all calls he makes to you, whether at work, home or cell.  Sometimes that gets them to stop calling.  You'll have to tell the scammer you're recording every single time he calls though.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This number keeps calling my cell number and my work and harassing me any the HR dept. They say that I am a criminal and that they are about to arrest me. When I asked for details, they became vague and finally hung up. A short time later, I received another call and the caller ID said 911. They told me that they were the sheriff's dept looking for me. I asked what sheriff's dept they were, and they said the California Sheriff's dept. When I questioned them further, they said they were coming to my workplace, and were going to beat me, and then drag me from the building and throw me in jail.

He calls with an Indian accent threatening to take legal action. When I said for what I havent done s*** he said he could only talk to my lawyer. I said I haven't done anything for legal action AMD hung up. He called back 5 fmore times and then answered saying ,"oh your a smart guy, you think your smart" I then said "i bet your gonna tell me different." I then said do what your gonna do just don't call anymore. He called back and left a threatening message. It's a scam

Just called me and told me to have my lawyer and myself call him back and if I did not, that I would need good luck because bad things will happen to me. Do they really thing Americans are this dumb? That we will give money to any one who calls and claims they are owned money! Come on

A Mr. Steve Smith called my work and said that it was very important that i called him back that he is from a  Legar Services agency. I had recieved a call like this last year around this same time at that time this person provided all of my personal information and asked that i confirm it he said that there was a law suit againsts me and that if I paid a certain amount of money that he's client would drop the law suit. I did not confirm or approved any of the information he told me.  Today this person called my work number again asking that I called him rigth away that it is very important.  I have reported this number to the FTC agency for inventigation.
If you are getting calls from this number report it to the FTC.

Its a scam, a person threatning yoir life asking to have your attorney call, but ask them for papers the summons they tall about and they say ok and you never hear from them again

This idiot has called me in the past - same accent/always a different story.  He even called my workplace posing as a police officer.  I have tried everything under the sun to get him to stop.  He stopped calling for 6 months after a coworker threatened him with a law suit and not to call my place of employment.  He has started up again.  I have made several complaints with the FCC - don't know what else to do!!!!  I've cussed him out, threatened him with the police report, you name it.  Tried calling him back and the number disconnects....I've had it!  I work nights and am fed up with this!

This jerk was calling my daughter and threatening her with arrest.  I called them back also. He got very rude and said he knows where I live and he's going to make it miserable for us. I let out a few choice insults and then he called me the N-word.

keep recieving calls from this number claiming to be a law firm and they were investagating me. This a a big scam when I called the number back and told them I gooogled the number and read them some of these comments they became angree and hungup on me.

I received a called today. It was a very aggressive female on the other line shouting at me that I was a criminal and that she was calling the police to pick me up and that they were going to prosecute me. I tried to get info from them and she just got irate with me and starting yelling at me. She then told me never to call the number that showed up on my mobile. She then hung up on me. I called back and tried to get an explaination. Turns out she was looking for an old employee of mine I guess he used my number as a point of contact. I informed her I was not that person so she said what the hell are you calling me for. I just said im sorry lady you called me first and called me a criminal. she hung up and now will not answer the phone whenever I call. Total waste of space
