I received a text indicating I won a $1000 target gift card. Clearly its BS since everyone else on here received the same message.

Just got a text saying "Your entry last month has WON! Go to targetcontests.com and enter your winning code 53822 to claim your free $1000 target gift card within 24 hrs. Nov.20 8:53pm

BIG SCAM!!!!

SCAM TARGET MESSAGE MACHINE SAID IT WAS JOHN DOE!

Your entry has won crap.

Your entry has won. please visit Targetcontest.com and enter you winning code within the next 24 hours to claim your prize.

Log on to the site and put in bogus info until it ask for your cell number then enter the number that text the spam. that way they can call themselfs at 2 IN THE MORNING!

Same text as othere about winning a gift card at 1:11am when three of us were sick as could be and really needed sleep!

i received a message saying i had won a $1,000 dollar target gift card which to find out is nothing but a scam. You can add me to your complaint list my code was 53822. Usually there is nothing free in this world just people taking advantage of others.

Got a text message about winning a contest from Taget and to go to TargetContests.com to claim my $1000 reward.  I don't give out my cell # to companies and I didn't enter a contest but I was curious as to what the scam may be so I went to the website but got an error message.

Got a call from Area Code 619-961-0141. Said to go to TARGETCONTESTS.com and enter winning code 6354  to claim your $1000.00 TARGET gift card within 24 hrs.

Got the same text with the 6354 winning code at 8:00 am. I live in AZ

This is the message I sent to the FTC, Verizon Wireless, Target, and my State Attorney General (IL) :

Last night I rc'vd two strange txt messages from phone numbers 619-481-8220 and 619-961-0141 at 12:00am and 3:02am respectively.  The content was as follows:

Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code 6354 to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24 hrs.

I know this is a scam (just type in the phone number in any search engine) but wanted to make you aware should you not be aware of such a scam and, if you are aware, to have another complainer to add to your list.

this call came in at 335 am waking me up.

Received text that said my entry last month has won $1000 gift card from Target.  I did not enter any contest.  I think this is a scam. I did a search for TargetContests.com and found a page full of similar texts that people had received.

I got the same exact message as Bonnie with the same code and everything. I am also on the Do Not Call list. I think it only covers legitimate companies from soliciting you, though, not scammers who are probably in the Bahamas :(

Texted that I won a target giftcard and wanted me to go to a website to claim my prize.  Stupid spam.

Recieved text message from this number, and I was charged for it because it caused us to go over our messsage allowance!

Same here - same exact message. I never entered contest, I am on do not call list. How do we get back at these people?

I received the same message today on my cell phone.  "Your entry last month as WON!  Go toTargetContests.com and enter your winning code 6354 to claim your FREE $1000.  I have never given Target my cellphone number for have shopped there in the last month.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST so why am I receiving junk like this?

Text I got today reads: Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code xxx to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24hrs.

Same text message as Cesar in the message before mine on Nov. 14, arriving on my cell phone at 2:41 am.  I didn't respond since I hadn't entered any contests at Target, and did my usual internet research instead.  Looks like lots of documentation of this recent scam.

Got the same message "YOur entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your Winning code 6354 to clain your FREE $1000.0 Target gift card within 24hrs"
They ask you your full address birth day an cell number.

I received the same text, saying I won $1000 by entering a contest at Target. I never entered a contest.

Same message from "TargetContests" but from an alternate or changed number: 619 876 0993.

I as others had not entered a contest at Target (been awhile since I shopped there).

Target may have legitimate contests but TargetContests.com is not one of them. In doubt, contact your local Target.

I received the same text this am .   Same message same instructions.  Scam now on our cell phones.  Great.  I am going to go to unwanted calls on government site and enter the number.  Report the number everyone and maybe it will stop.
