these [dirtyword redacted] are the lowest of the low.   I asked on the phone for proof, they sent a simple e-mail with no proof.  I sent an informal e-mail requesting proof; they did not provide, instead they said, and i quote, "IT EITHER IS OR ISNT AT THIS POINT YOU CAN GET ALL THAT INFO IN YOUR SUMMONS".  Caps and all.  "Yelling" in e-mail, very mature.  These folks go by at least three names:

The alliance group [web, phone]
The allied group [email]
ACN and Associates [email] - this gets a lot of informational google hits.
Some e-mails come from gmail.com.  That's a sign of a legit business.. NOT.

I contacted a lawyer and got advice from them and will be faxing a demand letter with a confirmation page, in the absence of a mailing address for them.  They have blatantly violated the TCPA and FDCPA.  If they show in court, I will file a countersuit and look for any possible way to get criminal charges pressed over violation of federal law, and the considerable stress they've put me under.

I have filed complaints with the TN Consumer protection agency, the GA Consumer affairs division (the state their fax and outgoing calls come from), the FTC, The TN Attorney Generals office, and on the advice of the AG's office, a police report.  I suggest everyone else do the same.  A demand letter is a MUST as soon as they contact you.  Fax it to the fax number on their webpage.   With a confirmation letter.   Reference the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b).   Know that bill and that section and how and when they can contact you.  Make yourself a google voice account and have them contact you on that number - press 4 on an incoming call and RECORD THE CALL.  Check to see if your state is a one-party consent state, but federally it is, and in any event, the application announces.   Save ALL voicemails and correspondence.  Save proof of contact.  e-mails count.  Make complaints with all the above agencies.

their website is thealliancegroup dot us but good luck finding info for them.

Take these bottom feeding lowlives down.

This company is a SCAM. I am a collector in buffalo, NY, the collection capital of the world and have worked for agencies like this one. Payday loans are expensive loans, but TRUST me, you are NOT getting served or going to jail, or getting "picked up" for it. The bad check laws are a way to scare people into paying these loans back because most people that take them out do not have the means to pay back 3x what they borrowed. ACH transactions are used to pay back these loans, which are electronic checks, but do not follow the states bad check laws, also, they are postdated which also are not included in the laws. Also beware of balances that are seemingly way too high. Unless you borrowed 600+ your balance should not ever exceed $1000. And finally, there is no option of going to jail as a debtor, if you dont pay it they can put a lien on your property, bank accounts, tax returns, and/or garnish wages depending on your states laws.. HOWEVER, this only happens once you are contacted by a LAW FIRM, if arrangements cannot be made with them, then they serve you to appear in court, if you do not appear or you lose then and only then can these actions take place upon COURT ORDER.
Hope I helped.

I got a call at my work yesterday from these people, about a returned check, all my loans are being paid for so I dont see how can they say I owe them, then they said they were not calling for the loan itself but for the returned checks, to the best of my knowledge the pay day loans do not take check paymetns they take ach debits i dont know if that makes a difference. But if anyone has more info please post it.

I got that same number on my ID and I answered it and they said something about fraud and that told me the last numbers of my ssn and then they proceded to ask me if this was a vaild debt and I ask them what company it was for and they said BMG and then they said they had two checks that got returned from my bank and that they were collecting on those and then that I have 72 hours to pay and ask me if this was a vaild debt and I told them that I didn't know of the bank "Fleet" that they refered to and I asked them for more info and the "american" women said that, that was all the info they had and if I didn't pay the debt then I would be turned over to the District Attorney and that I would go to court.  I said that I would call them tomorrow and pay if this was vaild and that she said that she would have to transfer me to a different lady.  I called all my pay day loans that I have had and the ones I have paid off said that I was paid in full and the last one I am paying on said that she might be fake and that she might be real.  I have never had loan with BMG before so I don't understand what this is about.

Someone called me from 620-263-3044 and left me a voice mail insisting I call them back about a fraud claim against my social security number and that if they don't hear from they'll assume it's valid. They told me to call them back at 1-877-349-6951 Ext. 1002. I called the number and got a voice message (the person who recorded it sounded like he was on drugs) saying welcome to The Alliance Group and to enter the extension of the person I need to reach.

It seems likely these people are scam artists because the voicemail the person left made it seem like action would be taken against me if I didn't call them back.
