These have started calling on our toll-free business line after hours.

They just called out toll free line at 7am when we clearly state business hours as 9a-9p. Probably scraped our number off the web.

I received a call @ 3:59 A.M, from a sound sleep, my phone rang about 16 times before I answered. I got a machine "our agents are busy please press 1" I pressed 1 same message!

got a call at 4:41 am this morning, an automated message say "you have beeen put on hold, press 1...

Than I hung up, I think if I pressed 1 then I would be accepting the long distance charges????

April Davis 620-546-2420  called our 800 reservation number at 4:32AM, I was awoken but didn't answer. Message was left..
"Please wait this call is being connected, the caller is busy, Press 1 to be connected directly..."

We were also awakened in the middle of the night.
We do have a toll free number on our home phone so we dont know which number was called. It has happened numerous times in the past weeks?
is tehre any way to block it?

Got a call at 10:57 CDST today.  A recorded message announced that the caller had placed the call on hold.  Judging by the litany of comments, this appears to be a service that is checking to see what toll free numbers are actively in service and being answered.  I can't imagine what value April Davis is adding to legitimate commerce, but if it's putting food on her table until she/it learns a more useful trade I suppose I will overlook this one call.

Figured it was just some lame drunk calling the wrong number until I googled it this morning and saw all this.

But April Davis is still calling.  Called at 3AM.  Also called at 10PM. Probably to our toll free number.

I got a call from this number at 3:01 AM EST with no message. My phone was on silent.

Some kind of automated call from this number at 4:32 am July 25, 2010.  No-one talks, just a recording that started at the end of my answering machine message.  If this is a prank, why can't it be stopped, since there have been all these reports.  Why would someone make a prank call with caller ID?  If a fake caller ID, what was the point of the call?

Call came in at 7/22/10  2:31 A.M.
Automated message made it appear it was a phone operator calling. When operator said to wait for persons name that was calling, the next automated message was "PLEASE WAIT FOR ME". Automated operator asked me to press #1 to accept the message. I hung up. I called the number back but no one answered, the phome rang for a time. I hung up.

I receive a call from this number and it said please hold for a customer service rep., then it said a rep. is available please press one.  I pressed one and it went silent, then again said a service rep will be with your shortly.  Fearing a scam, I hung up and will await my phone bill... Hopefully, I didn't help them scam me into calling some foreign country with $1,000 per minute charges.

Criminals, scamsters and bottom-feeding colletors have learned that if their calls go out "blocked," "unavailable" or "debt collector" a consumer is less likely to answer. They spoof their calls to appear to come from a different number to get around services like Anonymous Call Reject; otherwise the phone won't even ring. A bunch of criminals in the auto-warranty business started doing this about three years ago, using disconnected phone numbers in any city but the city they were actually calling from. It's frustrating because you can't call them back until you find out where they really are, and even then - if they don't care about calling from a spoofed number at 5:43 in the morning, they're not going to care about the national Do Not Call Registry either (that law affects real companies engaged in real businesses; the criminal scum is pretty much immune from things like that).

Bottom line: April Davis in Kansas had nothing to do with the call (after all, her number isn't in service anymore). And chances are about 100% that the call didn't originate in Kansas at all.

If only these ********s would die a slow and agonizing death, 10 times over. Or be in so much pain they would wish for death that would be withheld until they bled out.

got a call and when i answered it said the call was being connected waited a minute then hung up has happened a few times

I received a call from this number on my cell phone, hearing a computerized voice promising to connect me to the caller momentarily, then saying the party was busy and to please wait.  (I'm on call, so had to listen to this for long enough to find this website.)  :\

Received call from this number at 2:20am July 6, 2010. It was a recording asking me to press 1 and then said caller was busy, please hold.  Caller id said it was April Davis, Saint John, KS.  Looked up her number and address.  Ph # 620-546-2420479 NE 120th St., Saint John, KS.  I sure don't appreciate being woken up at 2:AM.  I called the number this morning and now says it is disconnected.

Call routed through my phone network to my cell phone. Nobody answered when I picked up. They pressed the phone pad. probably to let me know they were listening on the other end.

This number showed up on the 800 bill for my business.  Apparently they held the 800 line open for 3 minutes early one morning (before 7 AM, so they couldn't have expected a business to answer), creating a charge of $4.17 PLUS all the additional taxes and fees that go with an 800 call.  They did not leave a message.  I consider that to be theft - calling my toll-free line and pumping money out of my pocket and into AT&T without even identifying themselves.

5/6/10 received a call at 10:30 a.m.  no one there.  caller-id showed April Davis.

Received another Kansas Call this time from 620-708-2973. Dead Air. Call came in at 8:14 a.m. to a business.

I'm getting a bunch of similar calls from 620 area code. Any idea where it might be coming from? It looks like someone has a dialer but masking their outdial number with active phone numbers.

Ever see War Games. Maybe an old schooler was trying a hack. ;-)

When I try to call them back from my cell phone, give me the intercept message ?this number cannot be completed as dialed?.  I did not mind the call from 2:20 today , but I did mind the calls at 1:46 am and 3:15 am CST last night.

Called received 5:32am to a toll free dispatch number. Dead air.

I got a call at 4 in the morning to. I answered it because I have an elderly mother, thinking something happened to her, who else would call at that hour. But then I got some indian joker on the line demanding my bank and credit card info. I hung up on the idiot.
