I've gotten several calls, since I do not answer unless I know the number and they leave no message it is getting me mad..

not message .. it happens 2 times a day one more time the line gets blocked or i change my number

I just got a call from this number n ignored it. They left no message. parnell harold was the caller id.

yah, i just got a call from this number. asking for someone who used to have my phone #. weird huh/ called back and no answer. rang once and that was it!

Just now got one first on the mobile, then not even one minute later on the home phone-- and it's a relatively new number, with very good caller id.  Glad I came here as well.  No message left, and I refuse to answer.

The police called them back after they threatened me. They had already threatened me on my land line, now they are attacking me on my cell phone with a variety of 620 phone numbers. I will call the police again if they call me. The police said to answer the phone and say hello, then dial   *57, then hang up. After about three times of doing this , the calls should stop. They call my phn but no one answers back then the line goes dead. I have their number in a call reject now but how freaking annoying !

They have been clling my cell phone i called the number back and they said that i am order to go to court that they have sent 39 letters to me that i owe them money this and that its a scam dont let them fool you!

Thank you sooooo much for this information - they are not after me, but are looking for someone who used to live at my current address - and as a homeowner, I know that title changed at this address in very public places over three years ago and these companies have no legal excuse to use my phone number.  I did register at a national company to stop the calls and that worked for a while - they have recently started up again, I guess because the debt has been sold.  The question is how can debt collectors be stopped from using an address over and over to get the phone number of someone who is not a deadbeat?  Or is that just a fantasy.

I got a call from them and they actually had the nerve to have a recording asking me to please hold! WaddaYouKidding Me?  I hung up.  Beleive it or not they are calling back now as I type... well

Yes, this number keeps appearing n my caller id at my job.  When I phone it back (out of curiosity) it says disconnected.  What a joke!  But thanks for all the good info regarding this number that appears ever so often.

Thanks for the info Texas Deb, i love coming to sites like this that can just help people out, i wished it existed a long time ago, this number has been driving me nuts, call any time of the day or night i once got a call at 10pm EST..  i let it go through the message, i hit 1 to be connected and i got a voicemail, this happens each time, i think by answering or leaving a voicemail im actually validating my number to them so i will not answer anymore.

This number is a new listing for an old collector. Please look up 800-781-3445 and you will see a lot of info on these people. It is a collection company who goes by the name of Brown Stein & Weissman out of Loganville GA. They buy old debt and try scare tactics to collect. They have been known to threaten things like a process server is on the way to your house, or tell you you are going to be arrested for "check fraud" etc.  They have been reported by numerous people for their illegal practices, and they change their phone # as often as most people change their underwear. WHatever you do, DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY. The Atty Gen in my state of Texas said they are a well known scam company here and that one should not give them any info.
If they want money, make them send you proof of the debt. If they can't or won't, they cannot legally collect. You are entitled to know who you "owe". Good luck
