Just saw a missed call notification on my phone with this number. No voice message was left either. Not sure who they are or what they're looking for, but I have always been in the habit of not answering calls for numbers that are not programmed or I don't recognize.  

Portfolio Recovery. These sacks of trash call me sometimes 30 times a day. How can they get away with constantly harassing people who owe them nothing? As soon as they get shut down in one area they just move to another and start right back up again. I've reported them to the law but the complaints against them are so numerous you literally have to stand in line to hate them.

well, this is a new one.  Crazy what you guys have said, but this call was a "gay porn audition"???  WTF?  I have no idea how I made it to their list.  Please don't call me anymore!!

Well, I hope when you get cancer and lose everything to medical bills that someone is kind enough to call you everyday to harass you toward a speedy recovery!

This portfolio recovery,is probably mentally ill kind of people,they collect based on fraudulent accounts,because they cant tell the difference between right from wrong,these are the group of people who cant find a job,because of their criminal histories so please continue to make an effort to have them taken into custody.

Same here. Each day a different state. Even had a call from Cambodia.

New number from Kansas.  No message. My phone number was assigned to me by AT&T when I got my iphone 5 years ago.  Apparently some schister had this number before me seems he has debt out the wazoo.  I have told theses people over and over again that this wasn't his number but they continue to call even with complaints filed with the attorney general. Once these leeches latch onto a number they continue to harass even when I have an extremely high Fico score and have never had late or unpaid debt.

use true caller it does not let these type of calls through. Also lets you know who is calling and that it's spam

I keep getting calls from them also, tell them that they have in collections, and they did a charge off I have no money.   They keep asking for money.    I just don't answer the phone if I don't know the number.   For this past month I was scammed by another caller stating they were from Yahoo.

Just let a child answer the phone and tell them all about camping and butterflies and what sponge bob did and no my mommy cant come to the phone but what are you doing I am colloring ect. I did that once gave my son a 45 min conversation. My son was happy he got his very own phone call and they were able to document something (nothing worth anything unless they were into camping trips too) and phone calls stopped for a while :O) I do that now whenever a number pops up I don't know less I am at work.

Just received a phone call from this number I answered, said hello but no response. Oh well, at least it cost them some money.

I get calls from them for an account I tried to settle 10 years ago with Providian. I was told no settlement until I missed 2 payments raising the amount owed plus late fees so I didn't pay them. Even bankruptsy has a 7 year lifespan and still they call...I never answer if I don't know the number.

Yep, the mutts rang my wife last night. She didn't answer and as soon as her phone quit vibrating, they hit mine. Also didn't answer and, of course, they didn't leave a message on either call. I'm going to keep letting them waste their time cause i'm not paying anyone any more. I'm out!

Portfolio Collection Agency keeps calling me from different telephone numbers, all from out of my area code.  They are a pain in the a**.  I don't owe them any money and they are trying to collect on debts over the statute of limitations.

Screw them, I hope their phone bill just keeps running up without any reward to them.

Got a call on cell at 8:50 PM from 620-860-1570; says it's from Hutchinson, KS.  Didn't answer and They did not leave a message. Read on other sites this is a collection agency. Don't have any past debt and imagine calling at 9 PM. Must be searching for someone but if it's important they would leave a message.

And now 620 860 1570. be aware peopl.

Posted some furniture on Craigslist for sale. Made sure my number looked like this 123-456-789zero so I didn't get spammers.

Got an email, which had locally town info in it, soon after I was locked out of email, attempts in Jordan and Poland. (I live in USA).

Got a phone call from 521-369-7851. Refused to answer it. I return only calls I recognize the area code. Couldn't fin it on whitepages.com or superpages.com. Googled and found this page.

Be àcareful fellow intraweb people, a holes are everywhere and are waiting to stalk, rob and steal everything you own.

This is  huge company their ticker symbol is PRAA. they make billions. They have 1,400 Employes. Read this article. It is time for a class action lawsuit against this company for pursuing and harassing for expired debt.

Yet another portfolio number.  Called and didn't leave a message.  Trying to collect on old debt.  I haven't had my cell number very long but they have gotten it, so annoying.

Ive had the same phone number and residence 2 years, never heard anything from these people.

I tried a new tactic: I called back and asked them for "Donna's" information and how to get in touch with her.  He hung up, and now, apparently, I turned the tables and became the scumbag who collects or steals from decent people.

Out of principle, the fact anyone did call and intimidated me -- playing head games or anything else is on the table. Call them using Google phone a hundred times!

Yeah.. they keep calling and mailing me, but all of the letters state "we cannot sue you for this debt, but we can keep trying to collect"

People, the "do not call" list only applies to people soliciting goods or a service. It doesn't not apply to surveyors, or debt collectors. It also takes about 6 weeks to get your name on list, plus another 6 weeks to get the updated list to companies. The do not call list doesn't do much. If you really want them to not call, get tele-zapper for your home phone and download an app on you iphone or android. Your phone company can also block numbers for you.

Portfolio Recovery in many cases will drum up claims that have been settled already, and claims that are past time limitations. Dispute any claim, and above all Ask/Demand for the original "signed" contracts and a "complete" history of the account and documents of authenticity and how they acquired the claim. If they cannot produce all these documents than they have no legitimate claim. And it pisses collection agencies off a lot when you ask/demand the information because most can't produce but are legally accountable to do so.
