Everyday I get a phone call from this number and they hang up when I pick up the phone. It is very annoying and when I call back the phone just rings and rings. I called the phone company and they said there was nothing they could do about it to contact the police.

This  number calls every day - I have caller ID so I never answer since I don't know anyone in AZ - it's very annoying

I receive daily calls from this number and no one is ever on the line.

I get calls from this number too--thanks for all of your feedback, I was able to identify it as spam--I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize an out-of-area phone number.  Once I ID a number as spam, I enter it in my contacts list under junk which is set to not ring when a call from one of the junk numbers comes in.

I am getting calls from this number also.  Whoever it is calls at several different times of the day.  I have not been home when they call; but when I call it back there is no answer.  So irritating!

This person called and asked for a member of my household by name.  They said they were with the National Enquirer.  When I told the person not to call our number anymore and that we are on the do not call list, he says, in a mock Japanese accent, "Thank you veeery muchy".  Our surname is Japanese, so this was obviously a racial slur.

We have been getting the same calls every night since yesterday tonight they have called twice my husband is waiting for them to call again so he can make some irritating noise loudly down the phone! there have been so many of these numbers calling everyone lately does anyone know what is going on? why isn't there anything being done about this!

get daily calls from this number.  Noone is ever on the line.  Shows up as Arizona call.

yeah, same middle eastern guy called about 3 times today... no answer on the first two.

On the 3rd call, I forced him to talk ("who the hell is this") and totally ate into him. He claimed he was selling National Enquirer magazine or something. He said he couldn't put me on the 'do not call' list at first, and then HE started taking an attitude with me. He really pissed me off and after about 3-4 minutes, he told me he would put me on the "do not call" list.

If he calls again, I will totally tear him apart.

Kept calling (6-7x), no message, and no answer when I returned call. I finally answered, some Mid-Eastern/Arab guy asked to speak to me (butchered my name). 3-4 times, I kept repeating "speak English!," and he kept asking for me (getting irritated).  I finally told him, "Look here Osama, if you can't speak English, don't call people."  He hung up and hasn't called back since then (a few days).

Really annoying!  Never anyone on the phone!!

I get the same Arizona call every day, sometimes a few times a day.  If someone figures this out or notices they stop after doing something, please post!

add me to the list of people this a$& calls. I've gotten this number several times in the last couple weeks. And at LEAST ONCE every 2 weeks some jerk from SOAP OPERA DIGEST--well some publishing company that sells it on the side. I've complained to SOD without luck & I've complained to the FCC also about these people.

This number has called twice asking for my son.  When told he is at work the guy hangs up without leaving a message.  Called ID says Phoenix, AZ.  Some kind of marketing scam.

Calls almost daily. Asks for someone not in my household. Have told them they must have wrong number many times. Very annoying.

Caller keeps making annoying phone calls to our home - when answered, no one is there.  We are on the national "do not call" list but that doesn't seem to matter to this character.

Asked for my husband by name on our machine.  Called number back and did not recieve an answer.

These b*****ds with a heavy accent from India have been calling our home every night.  Tonight they asked for my husband by name and I told him that he was not available and asked if I could help. They are offering Playboy subscription even though I already told them that my husband already has a playboy subscription and that it is NOT about to expire. They said they would charge our credit card for 4 years subscription and as I tried to argue back he just hung up.  I'm furious!

RECEIVED A CALL THIS AFTERNOON WITH A MAN WHO HAD A HEAVY MID-EASTERN ACCENT. WHEN I TOLD HIM MY HUSBAND WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND I ASKED TO TAKE A MESSAGE, HE SAID NO AND HUNG UP. I CALLED BACK AND LIKE EVERYONE ELSE - NO ANSWER, A DEAD RING. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THE NUMBER IS A VERIZON WIRELESS NUMBER FROM ARIZONA. NO OFFENSE I AM NOT PAYING TO FIND OUT WHO THIS IS, BUT IF HE CALLS AGAIN I TOO WILL REPORT HIM TO THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. HOW ANNOYING!

We received another call from this number last Thursday night. My husband was home and used an air horn on the caller. We have not gotten a call since.

This party called two days in a row. Each time offering Playboy. Told them I just renewed. They said subscribe now before rates go up next month. Heavy accent from India or mid-East. Both calls told them to cease as this number is on do not call list. Last time, I offered to go to AZ and kick his posterior up and down the street. Playboy advised they do not use any telephone solicitors.

Have been receiving at least one call daily around 7pm. No one ever speaks, stays on the line for a short time and then hangs up. Every night it's about the same time. Always the same number from AZ.

I received a call from this number tonight.  The man with the heavy accent asked for my husband, by name.  I told him that he was not available.  He said that he was an old school buddy of my husband's.  I ask who he was.  He gave me the name Alfred.  He then said that he knew my husband in New York in 1976.  My husband has never been to New York and was only 11 in 1976.  I told him this, but he insisted that he knew him.  I again told him that he was not available and hung up.

Very persistent caller!!! Calls every day around 7PM to 8PM. No answer. I call it right back and there is never a pick up. Call times out.  This has been going on for over a week now. I have reported it to Qwest and they suggested that I block it. This is easier said than done. I would really like to know who this a***ole is and send him/her a box of turds for Christmas. If anyone eventually finds out who this is, pleaae let me know.

I answered the phone, but the phone in this room has no caller id... When I answered a male asked for me, but butchered my name.  I said this is 'correct pronunciation inserted here' yes.?.  Then the phone went dead.  I would call this number back but reading the other posts on this that would not do much!! What the.... do these people have NOTHING BETTER to do?!?!!!

This number has called us in So. CA multiple times in last few days.  If we answer, number hangs up.  If we don't answer, they hang up on machine.

Our caller ID says "out of area," there is never a company name.

I just reported to the Do Not Call Registry.  Thanks to others for sharing info here.
