Its direct cable and they are calling from either their collections department or sales department so you either owe them money (in which case your obviously not going to be able to contact them by calling that nu$ber back so answer the phone and ask them what it is they want everyone here sounds scared of the "Big Bad 623 238 6186 Wolf" lol also if you find out they are tyrying to sell you something tell them you work for direct tv and they will stop calling as it would be a conflict of interest!

It's charter communications asking to bundle your services

it keps clling my place of work it rings 1 time then hangs up this happens all day about every 10mins

I have been getting this call every morning at the same exact time for over a month now. When I call it back it tells me the area code has been changed and gives me a new area code to call, when I call it it says the number is no longer in service. I have no student loans and I have no problems with my charter account. It does say "thank you for calling Quest" before it says the area code has changed. So annoying! Wakes us up on weekends.

I would get calls from this number in Phoenix, AZ several times a week but wouldn't answer the phone and no messages were left on my message answering service. I finally answered the phone on 11/14/08 and determined the caller's name was Brian Cary a contract worker for Charter Communications trying to sell me a Charter bundled package. Because I am a customer of Charter he said he was not violating the Federal Do-Not-Call program. He would not get off the phone so I finally hung up on him. I guess the only recourse is to drop Charter Communications.

Called me today and left this message:  "Hi Laura, just calling to chat.  I'll talk to you later."

Honestly, what I don't get about all of these unknown callers who turn out to be telemarketers or "debt collectors" is that they never want to leave a message. Better yet, they never want to respond to me after I pick up the phone and say "Hello?" Do they not want my f***ing service after trying to get a hold of me three times in a week? If you want my money than talk to me, idiots!

Calls my  house/do not know that number

This number called my house several times today.

Have had several calls from this number, but always nobody there when we answered. Finally spoke with a woman there this AM, She said she was with Charter Communications (my cable TV and high speed internet provider), offering their phone service along with the above. I suspect this number goes to some kind of contract call center where various things are offered by telemarketers.

This number is from a marketing firm that represents itself to be part of Empereon Marketing which has a call center in Phoenix. The number to the call center is 602)-889-3655. Empereon  provides services for Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Charter Communications and Bright House Networks. Those services include non-cutomer acquisition and service upgrades. You can contact them to be removed from the call list but I don't know yet if that works because I just spoke to them today (9/4/08). I've been getting 20 calls a day so I hope this works.

I've been receiving calls from this number for a week. I get 20+ calls a day.  Often calls are one right after another.  I've answered a few times and no one is there.  No messages are left on my answering machine.  

I'm a Charter customer.  If this has something to do with Charter, we should explore a class action suit.

I'm so harrassed by these calls that I've taken to unplug my phone.

What more do I need to say, look at my previous comments.

I have signed up for the no call telephone numbers, yet this one still keeps calling me.  What can I do.  I do not want to have this number call me any more.

The person just says hello, hello, hello and does not say who is calling. Very unprofessional I think in this day and time. I think it's Charter. There's something wrong with those folks!!

Same for me and while I was reading these comments another call came in from the mystery caller.  This time,  armed with your comments,  I answered and simply let "them" know I am at present reporting calls from this number. "They"  hung up. Maybe that will be the end. I wish.

I've been getting calls daily. And the message always says "Hello? Hellllllo?" It is REALLY annoying to leave a message like that. We have charter, and I'm pretty sure we have the bundle, we also have no student loans seeing as both kids are still in 8th and 11th grades!

Number has been calling me almost DAILY for the past two weeks or so; I know nobody in Phoenix and am relieved to see that others have been annoyed by this same call.  I thought I was somehow targeted by this number.  I have never answered it and they never leave a message.  I have been in contact with Charter Communications about my cable TV service in recent weeks; I wonder if there's a connection...

It's regarding student loans, or other government loans.  It's from Sallie Mae...

no one left message, they let it ring and when answering machine answered hung up.

I haven't answered it but would like for the calls to stop as they are so annoying.

I answered and it was a woman claiming to represent Charter Communications (cable company) offering a new deal for internet/phone/tv .
