these people keep calling and will not take no for an answer.

By the way, one of the other most asked questions on these posts is....but HOW did they get my number??  Many VERY EASY WAYS, that's how.  

Do you have a Home phone, and is the number Listed?  There's a no-brainer.  And even if it's UNlisted, Auto dialers just call numbers in order, for the area they're targeting that day.  Let's say your Area Code is 123.  Well they dail 123-123-1234, then 123-123-1235 and so on.  And if you've EVER given your number out to any Company, business, bank, mortgage, and on & on & on, there are untold number of massive databases that put all that info. together and are able to put YOUR name together with an ADDRESS and a PHONE number, etc.  Most info. nowadays is considered public record, so we're all sitting ducks.

Just take a  look at the political stuff going on right now, to vote for your preferred candidate.  Later you hear on the News, what % of the voters for so & so are Black, or White, etc.  Ah, but it doesn't stop there.  They also know what Age group you're in, what Income level you're in, if you're associated with a church or if you're single or married or if you're a man or woman, etc.  They know all about you.

This is a new day & age people and you'd better wake up to it.  YOU have to stop these phone SCAMMERS on your own somehow.  It's up to YOU, and not anyone else.  Personally I'm tired of running all over the house trying to find the stupid ringing phone, just for it to be a Scammer or a Telemarketer (same thing), or requesting a Donation which nowadays is most often done by Scammers and not the real companies at all - in other words, it's gotten real hard to trust a voice over the phone!!!  So my advice is DON'T!!!!  NEVER!!!!  Not EVER!!!!!   If I want to Donate to a Charity, I do it on my own.  If I want to buy a certain Vacuum cleaner, I go out and buy one, if I want a lower Credit Card rate, I call my very own bank and talk to them about it.  If someone tells me they're collecting some Debt and they want my PERSONAL info. I tell them to send me a Certified Letter and then I BLOCK thier phone mumber from ever calling through to me again!!!!!   And as for that letter,......you'll most likely NEVER get it, because who you're talking to are usually just SCAMMERS!!  If I keep getting calls for Johnny or Susy that owe some money and I have no idea who Johhny or Susy is, I BLOCK these people on my phone from ever calling me again & again & again just to try to reach Johhny & Susy, when I've already told them there is NO SUCH PERSON by that name who lives here or who ever did!!!!!!

So go out and get a Phone that has the ability to BLOCK numbers, and use it!  Set your Cell phone to NO RING for the SCAMMERS, and you'll never hear your phone ring again from them.  Our home phone allows Blocking of entire Area Codes, which works great for all those States where you don't know anyone who lives there and probably never will.  Also our Local Phone Co. allows Blocking of entire Area Codes, so if you get a lot of SCAMS  from somewhere, just Block the whoe Area.

623-240-4021, 623-240-4030, 623-240-4001  are all from SCAMMERS calling themselves Eagle American.   They have been calling us literally for YEARS!!!!   It doesn't matter that you tell them to take your name off their list, it doesn't atter if you're on the DoNotCall, which by the way DoesNotWork!!!   Nothing matters anymore with these Scammers and there is absolutely NO ONE doing ANYTHING about it.

YOU have to take matters into your own hands.  As far as I'm concerned someone should start making a phone that you put in Only the phone numbers of your friends, family & business contacts and then NO ONE ELSE is allowed to get through to you.

Otherwise in the meantime, ask your Local Phone Company if they Block numbers and if so, sign up for it.
Otherwise go out and buy a Phone that has the abilty to BLOCK numbers.  The more of these that flying off the shelves, the more the Manufacturers of them will amke them and hopefully to include 100 or 200 or 500 numbers that can be Blocked!!!   Right now, most offer about 20-50 numbers that can be Blocked, but it sure is better than nothing!

As for all these SCAM calls coming into our Cell phones,....once you identify that it is such a Scammer, just Add them to your Contacts under the name SCAMMER for instance, and then go in and SET the Ringtone to NO RING or Silence!!  Now you will never ever hear them ring you again!

As for being on the DoNotCall list, it's a JOKE, a complete JOKE!!  Look at some of these numbers that people are complaining about, and you will see that some of them go back 4 1/2 YEARS!!!!!  But yet everyone keeps saying,.... BUT I'm on the DoNotCall list.  

This is just all part of our 'out of control' sick society of corruption and scammers, robbers and thieves.  And it's getting WORSE, certainly not better!

Just look at these numbers that have called us in just the past 30 days!  And literally 50% of them were to our Cell phone.   406-720-2099,  618-368-1723,  314-814-8868,  888-365-7129,  313-203-8198, 877-218-8360,  202-599-8512,  800-281-2526,  877-213-5486,  904-619-1819,  202-599-8470, 888-287-3130,  425-390-8110,  877-202-5429,  800-958-7825,  202-599-5008,  213-289-9006, 805-309-9790,  928-527-1914,  310-362-7319,  414-877-5518,  520-568-4154,  866-846,2762....and so on.....I'm just flat tired of typing numbers!!!!!!

YOU are going to have to do something about this YOURSELF, as the totally inept Government is NOT going to help you.  No supposed DoNotCall list is going to help you,  Telling the SCAMMERS to not call you anymore and to put you on THEIR donotcall list is ridiculous, as they are ILLEGAL SCAMMERS!!!!  Do you think they REALLY have a donotcall list???????  HA, what a Joke!!
