I just received a call from this number which had a caller ID of Eagle American Kirby.  In the past I have received many calls from Eagle American from different phone numbers.  It looks like they just got another new number.

I have stopped answering any call that comes from an unknown number. The ones that really need to contact me, leave a message. The others I just don't worry about. Any legitimate caller will leave a message.

A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural
consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
(1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property
of any person.
(2) The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader.
(3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section
603(f) or 604(3)1 of this Act.
(4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment
of the debt.
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller?s identity.

They call all the time, no reason to get this phone call all the time

Calls my place of business 2-3 times a day. I've given up picking up. Obviously a robot dialer which cannot take the hint! This is getting absurd. Can't something be done about these vultures?

I agree, never again will I go back to WF, now with a credit union, much better service and morals in the biz world...

How do you enter the number as a no ringer call? Please share, I wanna not have to listen to the harrasing damn calls all day and into the evening as well! Thanks a bunch...

I was sleeping when I got my wakeup call yesterday morning.  I explained to the caller that I had misplaced the bill and dropped a check in the mail for last month's payment.  He wanted me to verify my address and employer over the phone, and provide an alternate number (which I declined to do).  I thought it was a scam, so I double checked today using the phone number on the bill.  Wells Fargo confirmed it is a legitimate number and thanked me for my payment.

Unwanted call from 623-434-2997 several times a day and leaves no messages.  
Do not call registered.

Debt Collection call. Standards of Fair Debt do not apply to "in house" collectors so they are allowed to make debt collection calls on a Sunday morning.
I am 7 days late and they have a policy of intense collections efforts, and that includes multipile calls per day 7 days a week.
Problem, I also have Wells Fargo checking and the collector cautioned me that they can and will empty my checking account. Since I cannot make my payment until next week I thank them for the warning. This checking account is going to $10.00 Monday morning.

This WellsFargo Call center calls about home mortgage and Lines of Credit. They get bonus for meeting collections goals BUT they are only allowed to speak with you once a day. Since they are in house they can are not bound by the standards of fair debt collection but they say they do adhere to them.
Heed this warning, open a different bank account and only leave enough money in your WFB to pay your WF Bills. Do this until you can get your finances in order. Wells Fargo will ask you if they can look at your checking account and make the payment by transfer that you have overlooked. When you say no they will do it anyway. Think you can sue? Win the lottery first it will cost you deeply to sue and remember they are in house collectors so they have no damages to you. Best of luck.

Wells Fargo starts calling as soon as your a couple of days late. they are relentless using multiple numbers

Wells Fargo Home Equity Line of Credit

IT'S WELLS FARGO, Wells Fargo phoned yesterday, Saturday, at 8:04 am no one on the line, then again at 8:21 am.  Again, no one on the line.
Today, Sunday, Wells Fargo has phoned SIX times.  9:35am, 10:58am, 12:06 pm, 1:11 pm, 2:19 pm, and just a while ago at 3:29 pm.  The day isn't over and they are not answering THEIR phone.  When does this become HARASSMENT AND WHO CAN HELP???

If you hang on the phone for a few seconds someone does come on the the line. they call during your grace period if you have not paid your equity line payment right on the day it is due and they call several times a day until they get a hold of you.

A call from a guy claiming to be from Wells Fargo about my loan not being current.  He hacked up a few sentences, then apologized since he saw my loan was current.  He interrupted himself, and tried to convince me to go on automatic withdrawal, which I declined.  He said ok thanks, and hung up the phone.  Quite strange.

When I picked up the line, a message says, "please hold for an important message from a banking institution."  I hold for 10-15 seconds, and it says someone will be with you shortly.  Another 10-15 seconds, and a young male voice says, "Hello", to which I respond hello, then silence.  I repeat hello, and then begin pushing numbers and hang up.  What's the deal with these nuts?
I do not have an account with Wells Fargo, and do not have any HELOCs.

Received call on 7/29/08,10:55am did not know number. They never left a message.

they called this morning saying they were from Wells Fargo dealing with home equity.

Get six to ten calls a DAY from Wells Fargo ever since I cancelled my account with them several weeks
ago.  I don't owe them on this account but they keep adding "overdraft" charges they send me by snail mail.  They are just pissed that I closed the account, wrote a check to zero it out and sent them a
letter of confirmation.  They use several different numbers, two of them with a 503 area code.  Never
leave a message.  This is just out and out harassment.

Wells calls from several different numbers and it's hard to block them all.  We give them a free bank and they harrass us.  I don't pay on time, I pay when I get the money but, never over 29 days.

Well this number keeps coming up again and again. Called it back and a person saying" Wells Fargo how may I help you?". Asked if my number could be taken off the system, educated her have been called 4 to 6 times a day 7 days a week. She said I would need to send in some information to be removed. Sent in some information to my Attorney Generals office instead, they dropped down to 2 calls per day 5 times a week. Resending info to Attorney General again. Hope the 3 times the charm.

yes, it is Wells Fargo.  the reason there's a silence is that it's auto-dial, and if the phone gets answered, then it switches to a person.  it takes time for the switch, that's why there's no one there.

check with FedTadeCommission..they will also give you the Bank Complaint center...sorry, forget their name, did have to file a complaint there once...multi calls a day, I believe is considered harassment..
