Called me 4 times already today. Everytime I tried to answer but hang up on me very fast! I'm so fed up!

Washington Mutual calling from wherever their little heart pleases. Never did business with them or any other bank prior to WAMU buying them out. I think they say they buy banks out to spam people.

Call all day, everyday from 0800 till whenever. I have had a Wamu card for several yrs and never been late or over the limit.
Each day as above calls come from a different area code, I never answer.
Why can't anything be done about this harrassment? 10 calls a day for something that is in good standings?
I am not so sure they will ever be paid on time again!!!

JUST WAMU and the CONSTANT calls from different states, it's easy to identify them, every day it's a different state. Yesterday it was CA and a different number today it's AZ.  

My ringer is off, machine screens calls which are always hangups or the phoney "we tried to deliver mail but it was returned so call us" line of BS.  Sorry guys you DO have the correct address.

They  starting calling at 8 A.M every morning , usually I`m in the shower or driving , I don`t have a credit card . When I call back to complain I just get a recording wanting the last 4 digits of my card #. They were calling from another number 321-549-3042 and I was finally able to answer it. She asked for someone I have never heard of , I said you have got to be %*?%#*!$!! joking me .. you have the wrong number, before I could go any further she hung up .So now they have started calling from this number . On my voice mail , it says this is a Real Estate businesses number only if that is not the nature of this call hang up now. My phone sits on my desk most of the day , clients know to call my office # unless it`s an emergency.This number they are calling is basically for messages and pages only . I`m not sure what the laws in Ga are if a bill collector keeps calling the wrong number , but I do intend to find out !!!

Keeps calling me.  I called WAMU directly, and there was nothing wrong with my account. This is a scam.

I have recieved calls early in the morning and late at night - NO TIME IS SACRED to Washington Mutual. They have also used these numbers to call me:509-481-9106, 210-247-0026, 770-240-0006,412-595-9025, 303-4481-0027, 321-549-3042.

I just opened a card with them, I haven't even used it yet and they are calling me numerous times a day.  I'll answer it next time and find out why they are calling.

I get calls from a different area code each day-- Washington Mutual took over Providian Visa and their collection department is relentless.  All is does is strengthen my resolve to pay this card *LAST*!

They have been calling me and my account isn't even past due. I am really close to my credit limit, but not over it. They want me to go ahead and make another payment. Yeah right.

I got 5 calls from them yesterday 9/14/08.  WAMU pays overseas workers to make collection calls....I can barely understand them.  I ask to speak to a supervisor and/or manager and they tell me they are busy.  I don't advise anyone to speak to any of them until they can get a manager on the phone.  You try to tell them you will make a payment as soon as possible, but that still isn't good enough.  Maybe if they were here in the US to see how bad the economy is, then they would understand!

I owe them nothing . I cut a deal with Wamu directly and they still call

Is there a way to have them stop calling legally?

Don't hold back on your true feelings about these maggots. This bank [Chase] got billions in TARP funds from our generous government for bad accounts. Now they're looking to collect a second time. Waterboarding is the method that should be used on these greedy worms.

I put these scrots on the DO NOT CALL registry and now if they violate it after 30 days I'll file a federal complaint. That's all you have to do. By the way Washington Mutual was bought by CHASE several months ago. I wish these tough guys lived in town, not Arizona so that I could give them a nice beating, at a minimum. It works this way - they terrorize you all hours of the day & night and they think that they are not accountable to anyone. I'd like to GPS their position,then after they get off work, confront them in the parking lot and well...you get the picture. All you need is a lead pipe, duct tape, 150,000 volt stun gun and a pair of ChannelLocks - the broad flat edge jaw type. You know the kind that can pull the skin off catfish or people's fingernails. Yeah - that's the ticket.

called this morning and left no message, i called them back and got the prompt saying that it was washington mutual and to type in the last 4 digits of my card number so i entered some random numbers and it told me to enter my social security number so i entered 9 a bunch and then it told me to hold for a representative. it rang and "HERB" answered, he spoke english well, and asked me for my name immediately i told him NO I JUST DON'T WANT TO BE CALLED ANYMORE. he asked me if i had a washington mutual account and I said NO and he said what's your phone number and I said IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT MY PHONE NUMBER IS YOU OBVIOUSLY ALREADY HAVE IT SINCE YOU CALLED ME. i then hung up.

I have been getting calls from this number that I have been looking up. Everytime I pick up I don't hear a thing for almost a full minute then the line hangs up. Every time I try to call them back I get a busy signal.

Probablyy a computer generated line.

I've never had any account with Wa-Mu and refuse to go through any bank that every got any of the bail out money now too. Is there a line I can call at Wa Mu to get removed from this annoying list???

623-476-0009 is Washington Mutual guess they just need the little guy with no money to start donating blood now right or is it your first born

I get calls from this number several times a day.  As soon as the answering machine picks up, they hang up.  Collection laws state they must either talk to us or leave a message & cannot call again the same day, so they just hang up & don't leave messages.

Suggest calling 866-892-9268 to respond to WaMu directly. Can report payment is on the way through their voice mail. When I was called from this number the caller had specifics regarding my credit card acct. I hung up when they asked for numbers from my checking acct to make payment immediately (I'm overdue 2 days, first time). Caller said he was Isaac.

I have no account w/ this company!

Keeps calling my cell.  How do I get it blocked or reported?

Get a fax number from them and fax them a request for calls to stop.  The Fair Debt Collection Proceedures Act states that once you ask for calls to stop they must or you can sue for 1000$ for each time they call.  Google the FDCPA and shove it in their face!

Could I get that e-mail address from you?

By the law, Collectors are only allowed to call you (and talk to you twice). If they abuse that law, you can threaten to call the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) on them.

Love your idea. I'm so pissed off that we had to bail them out!
