Putz calls at least 4 times a month. Have checked reverse directory listings and found nothing. If I get really annoyed I will pay for a trace call and then badger them with a throw away phone............ I can not varify if AMEX...

This is AMEX 100%. They call my house phone, then my cell phone, and will repeat this pattern a few times each day, using 3-4 different numbers, and calling about 12-16 times in total!! It is pretty ridiculous, they obviously want their money, and do not care who they annoy in the process! I have had enough of this, and am just going to close my account once I pay off the remaining balance! Due to their annoying me, they have lost me as a cardholder, and I have been one for 14 years! Another number that they use is 866-884-0976.

Called today; no message. Could very well be AMX despite as hardtobegood said payments are made or scheduled. They got their TARP money but obviously do not extend any assistance to the businesses that need it. Could very well be fake too.

If you have an AmEx account, I recommend calling their official customer service number (probably listed on the back of your card or on their official website) before calling this number.

This number hits my cell, and 5-10 seconds later, my landline answering machine lights up. Never any vm. And a few moments prior, the same thing from 336-393-1122, also AmEx. 4 calls in less than 5 minutes.

got a call from that number, left no message. I am sure it is AMEX calling for nothing more than harassing their card holders. they make a practice to call even after you have scheduled and they agreed to terms. Their strong arm tactics are really bad practices for small businesses!! Boycott Amex!!!
