Very pleasant lady said she was doing marketing research and asked if I would participate. She asked if I had answered using a cell phone. She asked if I worked for any marketing research firms. Then she asked my age. I was too old to partcipate. She asked if anyone else in the household was below 55. She wished me a good day and ended the call. She was very courteous.

Received call from number.  Hang up.  Called number back and got recording that the number was not in service.

I don't like the idea of people calling and only wanting to talk to the male in the house. It scares my wife and she has seen too many law and order episodes. I can't wait untill they call again. It will be the last time.

rec'd a call from 623-505-1247 at a number i havent used in 10 yrs claiming to be from Arizona dept of health, don't know how they got that #, no one would have it

got call no message, but i did call back & it's Westgroup Medical Research, they stated that if noone picks up, they will at least call about 5 times & hope someone answers to participate in a research study.

No caller ID info on call from this number at 9:00 pm on 9/17.  Caller did not leave message.

Got a call from this number with a guy who did not seem to know he was calling me. Overheard in the background that he had been to prison and was taking out a girl who was waiting for another guy in prison... lots of inappropriate details I won't repeat here...I consider this harassment and will pursue reporting it.

They've called me a lot more than 5 times.  I get a couple of calls a week from a 623 area code. I never answer.

They have called our house twice now and do not leave a message. Now that I know who it is, I won't be answering. The recording states they will call up to 5 times. When can we get these "research companies" to abide by the do not call list? I don't care that they are not selling anything. They are just as, if not MORE, annoying than telemarketers.

REMEMBER once you call back they have verified it as someone willing to seek them out and they will hunt you down incessantly to puke whatever scam they have

I received two calls on my cell phone from this number, the first time it rang once then hung up. The second it rang several times but no voicemail. I have contacted WestGroup Research and left a voicemail saying that they may not contact me whether they are selling something or not. Just like a stalker can be prevented from calling me, so can they, via an injunction against harassment, which I will file if I continue to receive calls. I am mailing a letter to them stating the same thing, cc'ind the Phoenix Police Department.

Received call from this number around 5pm.  I answered the phone using my business greeting.  The male caller asked if my number was a place of business to which I replied 'yes.'  He immediately hung-up.  I saved the number on my cell phone as "Bogus Telemarketer."  No more calls from this clown.

Second time my office received a call from this number. Both times they said they were from two different rental equipment companies, both with the same 1-800 call back number. Would not speak to me, wanted to speak to the man in charge of  renting equipment. Too bad this woman handles a good majority of it :-)

Got a call around 11:30am on a Saturday from this number.  Didn't answer... and they left no message.  They called my cell phone... weird.

This call is from WEST GROUP - Opinion research study survey!

Received a call from 623-505-1247 saying they were doing a market research survey regarding buying habits of pizzas.  They stated they were from Phoenix.  As I live 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix and there would be no reason for someone to ask me about my pizza purchases from so far away, I hung up.

Solution 101: At COSCO's - we purchased at Panasonic Telephone Model # KX-TGA641
Using the phones MENU: Caller List - Select - scroll to the unwanted number on the in coming Caller List.
Instead of ERASE - I do a SAVE - at the SAVE MENU : Phone Book and below that is Call Block. I select Call Block and confirm by selecting YES. All calls / any calls from that number - always will ring once and the phone screen reports - "Call Blocked" . . . I never know what the caller hears. . .

This puts flags up in my mind.

I would not participate - requested that they removed my number - caller insisted that they "by law had the right to call anyone at anytime."  I stated that I'm not the law - and they don't have my permission to call my unlisted / unpublished number ever.

Remember that whenever YOU call any Toll-Free number that you are giving them all your billing information - correct spelling of your billing name, address, zip code beside telephone number(s).
Having an unlisted / unpublished = zero - when i comes to Toll-Free calling.

Think twice as to what phone you are using when calling Toll-Free numbers. And no refunds allowed!

A man called my unlisted home phone number doing research for local pizza places and said he wanted the opinion of the man of the house then asked if he was available.  When I told him no he said, "Thank you" and tried to hang up with me.  I stopped him to clarify the reason why he only wanted to speak to the man of the house and he told me it was a particular research study they were doing.  I told him the fact that he wanted to know this without further explanation made me uncomfortable and I felt compelled to call the police.  He told me many people have the same reaction, but he was only following a script. This phone call scared me, it was completely unprofessional, and offensive on so many levels.  I am irate about the tactics used by this company and urge anyone who would consider using them for their services, not to.  I found the number belonged to West Group Research in Phoenix.  I heard their b***s*** recording and will continue looking for their valid phone and address.  When I find it, I will post it on this site.

Called Ted's number...not in service...go figure

Very rude.  Asked something about pizza and when he asked my age, and I said 'over 65', he said that was the last question he had...guess old folks don't eat pizza.

Female caller claimed to represent SRP. Her first question was to ask if I was an SRP customer. Her next question was, ?Have you ever been employed in the market research field?? I said, ?Yes? and she ended the call.

They've called at least a half-dozen times in the past 2 weeks.  Most the time they hang up b4 I answer, but today I picked it up & got a recording of a girl's voice saying, "Hello, we're calling from..."  Then it was disconnected.  Caller ID shows the # + Beardsley, AZ.

First time they called.  Hang up when we did not answer.  I called the number and the recording said they were Westgroup Research, that they called at random, that they did not sell anything, and that they may call up to 5 times.  I sure love that Caller ID and never pick up numbers I do not recognize (I turned the ringer in the fam room off too), so let me say to Westgroup, call your heart out.
