I've received this call once a day almost every day for two weeks.
I called Cox and there is nothing on my Cox account that needs addressing. I can conclude that this is either a phishing scam OR that the automated phone system from Cox is wrong and I am not supposed to be on the list.

If this is COX, then my bill has already been paid this month yet they keep calling, and never leaving a voicemail. I've called COX before and this is not the number I have dialed. I don't believe this is COX, and if it is, they need to leave a voicemail.

Your prices stink rotten, so I dumped cable years ago - also because 100 channels of nothing but ads, and the mute button on the remote was disabled!! Voice telling me there is something new that has been added to my bill from Cox, but this number is not through Cox. I've checked my Cox billing, which is electronic and not for this number and each time the transaction has occured that day, but nothing is different. I don't think Cox has this number in their files.

Got a call from 623-594-1035 telling me I had an urgent message from Cox regarding my bill. Only one problem. This number is not on my Cox bill and my Cox bill had been paid electronically two days earlier.
If Cox doesn't have this number in my records, why would they be calling me about an "urgent" matter?

Solved: My cell number was in the COX system belonging to somebody else and it had nothing to do w/ my current COX account. Coincidence.

If you suspect something's wrong, you should never call the number left on your voice mail. Rather, call Cox's main number directly and ask them about your bill. If there is a problem, they would be able to tell you. Never give out personal information over the phone, Cox should already have that info. I would just ignore the calls if you can.

I got a call from this number- and supposedly someone else is using my phone number on a Cox account- and they won't tell me anything unless I give them my social security number which is NOT going to happen. The first thing they asked for was my ss# when I said I didn't have a Cox account. Something is very wrong here.

Perhaps people say these "stupid" things because Cox calls from this number with a caller ID of "HM". In my case, they also didn't leave a voicemail. Definitely some stupidity going on here -- on the part of Cox.

I got another call again from Cox Communications. This makes at least 5. All of which I have called and requested that they remove my number from their list. I AM NOT A COX CUSOTMER. They have me associated with the previous owner of this number. You should be required to compensate me for my time at this point, as it appears as if every time I call to remove my nyumber from your list, your process is ineffective and my time is again wasted.

I never answer calls from numbers or unknowns. I got a call from this number - they left a nessage similar to Chen's on 01/21/11. I did not call them back

I called returned the call and after 5 mins the rep could not tell me what the purpose of the "urgent notice" was. Just goes to show you that you really can't trust a cable company by the name of C**ks...
