I received a call from 623-643-2415 and they didn't leave a message. If it is discover card they can quit calling my phone because I don't have a discover card and all of my bills are up to date as far as payments go.

Scam stating they are with Discover Financial.  Don't give any personal info.

I have started to add these numbers to my phones contacts and then set them to go immediately to voice mail. I have done this for this number and 623-643-2547 which if you look it up has similar comments as posted here.

I had been getting these call from 623-643-2415 many times a day, they told me I used discover card in
Ohio and owned them money but I never been in Ohio. I did reported the ID stolen to local police and credit lines.

Most postings say this number is from Discover Card, one says this number is from Capital One. My guess it is another (illegal?) collection agency that has purchased accounts receivables from Capital One and Discover. As far as I am concerned, IFF I owe money to a bank or credit card company, I DO NOT DEAL WITH OTHER COMPANIES AND/OF AGENCIES. I would strongly suggest anyone else do the same.

I looked through the postings. I see where one posting says the call is from Capital One, and others say it is from Discover. Just like most other postings, I also receive several calls a day from 623-643-2415. No messages are ever left. I do not know for certain who (or what) is calling me from the above-stated number, but they must be fairly unintelligent to think anyone would call back, and give them ANY information at all. I suspect that the phone calls are auto-dialed via a computer. and the "computer" hangs up if it does not detect a human voice. Let the computers call all they want.

they call, even though I have told them that I cannot afford their "minimum" payments. They also keep telling me that they can help me with a program, however when I call to talk to someone, they tell me that they CANNOT help me because they already had helped me in the last year.

This call showed up as a bubble on my cell even though I don't owe anyone anything that I'm not handling.

I did not answer the call from 623-643-2415.  The caller left a message, naming some one I have never heard of.  They left a call back number of 800-347-0332.  This number, according to 800 Notes website really IS Discover... Who really knows, though.

These annoying people tried to call me now from 623-643-2400 and 623-643-2795! That does not work as "Caller ID" is a must for me and I don't know anyone in Arizona and send them to good old Voicemail where they languish until they are erased. Call blocking will not work as they call from multiple phone numbers. I tell other people how annoying Discover Card, Glendale, Arizona has become and not to do business with them. I cannot blame them for trying to collect from past-due accounts but they did not believe me when I honestly told them that I have never done any business with them and do not have a Discover Card, never did. The best response: No response, if you have no valid business with them. They will eventually give up. I have delt with tougher boiler room callers than these.

Been being stalked by these people constantly at home and on my cell.  I won't talk to them because they won't identify who they are.  Now I just don't answer their calls

Had been getting these calls also from 623-643-2795. I have never done business with Discover Card and never will. They are looking for someone that has used my cell phone number and I will never give them the chance to be rude, as I will not answer. Press the setup Ignore button on the cell phone and send them to Voice Mail where they are erased. I remember their numbers and will fight back!

After letting them know we had no knowledge of the person. They called again. I called the number and let them know we had to idea who the person was. They told me the "took my number off" but I "may" get one more call. Will update to let know the outcome. Discover Card.

BTW they were very rude the first time we let them know we had no knowledge of the person. As if we were lying.

Sometimes I here people giggling in the background if I let the machine get it. But I don't hear anyone when I actually pick up.

Just yesterday we received the first call from this number 623-643-2415.  No message, now again this a.m. another call, no message.

this number calls at least 10 times a day for the past 2 weeks, no messages.  i do not own a discover card.

Another update - these guys have continued to call relentlessly for over 2 weeks straight now - never leaving a message.  I finally got one of their calls today and a man answered asking for a "Kenneth ******" and I could hear beeping in the background (which is because they are obviously recording the call)  I informed the man on the line that I don't know anyone at all by that name (which is the absolute truth) and the guy asked me how long I've had my number, which I told him.  He stated that he was sorry to have bothered me and told me that he would remove our number and hung up.  Within less than a minute of talking to that man, the phone rang again from the same number and this time I got a recording telling me to "hold for an important message" - I held and eventually a woman came on the line and asked for the same "Kenneth *******" (the beeping on the line was going again, so they were apparently recording again).  At this point, I told the girl "Look, you guys have been calling this number relentlessly for over 2 weeks and I've already told the last guy that called here not even a minute ago that you guys have the wrong number and that I don't even know anyone by that name so please stop calling."  (In a way, I did feel bad for her because I know she's just doing her job, but if they had at least been leaving messages for the past few weeks, I could have called them back at some toll free number to let them know that they had the wrong number weeks ago and maybe they could have gotten into contact with this guy sooner and maybe I wouldn't have to be dealing with all of these constant calls - even calls being made to my house within about a minute of each other...)

It is Capital One collections department.

they call and several times a day and when they leave a message they never say who they are and "its important that you call us back"  Very annoying!  I also get calls from the 303 area code  and says that the my attorney or me need to call them back today as U are coming up against a deadline.

As an update to my previous post on 10/19/09 - we are still getting calls relentlessly with no messages ever being left.  As I have fraud alerts on both my husband's and my credit reports due to identity theft in the past, I was starting to get nervous that someone may have tried to fraudulently open a Discover account under one of our names so I called Discover directly at (800) 347-2683 which is the number for customer service on their website.  I spoke to Aiesha in their Ohio office and she checked my SS# and verified that no application has been made using my social and I asked her to check the (623) 643-2415 number to see if it might be another department and she stated that according to her records, the company does not have ANY numbers in the 623 area code and that it is certainly not them calling.  She suggested that I may want to get a credit monitoring service to further protect against identity theft and that it appears as though whoever is calling from that 623 number is using Caller ID spoofing.  While Caller ID spoofing is still legal, it is not legal for a company or individual to pretend to be another company or individual.  
Bottom line - DO NOT GIVE THESE GUYS ANY INFORMATION IF YOU GET THEM ON THE PHONE WHEN THEY CALL!!!
According to another forum, I found a listing of different numbers that a collection agency called "Van Ru" uses and according to that person, many of the calls come from a 623 area code and many state "Discover Financial" on the caller ID.  
Please be careful as there are far too many scams out there!

Same as below, my work cell phone has rung with this number twice today, no message left. I actually do have a discover card, but it is up to date on payments. Strange, maybe they are using an autodialer?

We have started receiving multiple phone calls a day from this number over the past few days.  They have never left a message.  The caller ID says "Discover Financial", but no one in this household has ever had a Discover Card, nor has anyone in this household ever had an account bought by Discover.  The only family member that we know of that ever had a Discover card - no one in this household has even seen or talked to in over 2 years and that person has never lived at this address or had thsi phone number - they don't even live in the same city.  Since they're not leaving a message and haven't sent anything, I have no idea who they're looking for or what they're calling about.  Since they are calling my house, unless they decide to leave a message or send something in writing, I refuse to accept any contact with them until they can tell us who or what they're looking for.
