Another unscrupulous collector.  Took a tip from another messageboard and picked up a call blocker from www.procallblock.com, and that solved the problem.

This is the absolute WORST advice ever!
If you cannot pay your debts at this time, at least make an effort to pay what you can--when you can.
If you follow the bonheaded advice above--your credit rating is ruined FOREVER!  Not 7 years--FOREVER!!!
Collection companies will keep selling your accounts.  In doing that--they stay fresh.

Once you're back on track in the economy, you'll never be able to buy a house or get fair rates on car loans.

Discover card collection calls every day. Leaves messages on debt. I am now on debt settelement with Freedom financial. They tell me Discover is aggressive. They advise me to ignore their call and let roll to voice mail.Freedom said they want to settle with me direct because they can get more.

I have 12 calls from this number in one day.. So i blocked them on the DONNOTCALL.GOV, hopefully this works.

This is the most awsome and helpfull web site I have ever seen!  We hard working people need to do somthing about this for sure.  This number is calling us 7 to 10 times a day for some one who does not even live here!  They were suppose to take our number out befor and did not so I politely asked for his name the last time he called and told him I had talked to my local Sherriffs office and I would be filling harrasment charges on the company and him his self!  That was a few days ago and i have not got a call yet!!!  The way I look at it is even if that person couldnt pay their bill, 7 to 10 times a day 6 to 7 days a week is OVER KILL!  A company should only be able to call a person once or twice a month!!!!!!!

These people run up our minutes to the point where the 45 cents per minute kicks in. We are retired, on Social Security after having lost my company and my savings to this economy as contrived by the big money credit card operators.

My advice to everyone? Quit paying the credit card bills. Use the same message that the greedy corporate world uses: "I regret to inform you that we are suspending payment of your invoices until further notice from us."

I just got a brand new phone yesterday, and it assigned me a number, and then this # calls, using up my minutes.  Collection calls should be banned period. Most people who owe money change their # & get a PO BOX, so the majority of calls go to random people who like me, who don't have credit cards. So they're punishing people, that don't have anything to do with the problem.

The phone companies that assign reused #, s should wait a year before putting a "used" # back in reservice.

The #'s location that came up was Phoenix, AZ (southwestern state) The phone was programmed in a northeastern state!

I didn't answer it, assuming it's a collection agency.

calls me 5 to 10 times a day, they also call my parents house and my inlaws house. They are asking for information about me and my husband wanting other numbers to call us. I will put food and clothes on my kids first.

they call at least 4 times a day don't leave messages and i simply hang up after answering and i am sick and tired of computer calls.  this is harrassemnt .  They call the home number at 8:00 a.m then work # and then cell number.  very annoying

Stop paying your credit cards.  Starve the beast.  Unsecured debt means just that: UNSECURED.  Meaning they lent you credit on your good credit.  Now that your credit is not worth anything, neither is their debt.  It is THEIR LOSS.  They took a gamble on you and lost.  Their fault, not yours.

And above all: THEY GOT THEIR BAILOUT, SO YOU SHOULD TAKE YOURS.

Stop paying your credit card bills.  Trust me, it'll be the best thing you ever did.

Everyone should have a google phone number.  They have to announce who they are, the announce MY name, cos I think I might be calling myself.  Either way, you can send them to voicemail...but they never leave messages anyway.

Oh and better yet, you can add their number to your google spam and they then go straight to voice mail and your phone never even rings.

This number calls up to 4 times daily...the earliest being this morning at 8:20!!!

Called at 8 a.m. on the dot for a week straight. I didn't answer for awhile, but finally I gave in because I was curious. They asked for a Julian--I know of none. Well anyways, when I told the lady that called that I didn't know a Julian but I kept receiving phone calls from this number. She politely feigned surprise and told me she removed the number from the calling list. She seemed sincere enough I think.

Claimed they were discover financial.   I asked for an identification number of the operator  and they could not provide. Kept asking for information for me and I denied until they could give me a number to verify with Discover.  They disconnected the call.

You continue to call my phone number (631-698-7091) multiple times a day. I do not have any outstanding balances on credit cards. I'm sure you have ways of checking this. I am the only person that lives at this phone number so I am not sure who you are trying to reach but it is not me. Please stop these annoying phone calls.

Got a call at 9:45 a.m. and when I answered a recording kept saying, "please hold for an important message."  I let it go for about a couple of minutes, but I figured after about two minutes it couldn't be that important.  I do not know the name of the company/person that called and I was wondering if anyone else got this and knew whom the call was from.

You've started calling for the money owed on a number of credit cards. Thanks to this wonderful economy, I'm struggling to keep food on the table. Needless to say, I cannot pay you guys a penny. But it has to be said anyway. Oh well, I tried working with my credit card peeps but all they did was jack my rates to the point I could no longer make the minimums.

So now it's survival mode until I get enough cash to file for bankruptcy. At least then the calls will stop. That is unless they turn off the phone first!

You call my cell phone more than 20 times a day and you have now called my parents house my inlaws house and my parents summer home more than 3 times a day - this has lasted for several months - it is harrassing not to mention giving information to my parents or my inlaws about my financial situation is illegal.

It's 12:00pm and they have called 4 times since 9:30am., on Saturday no less.

The recording asks ME to hold!  You call me and put me on hold, I don't think so!
