I received a call from this number. I am not in the military nor have I ever been in the military. So why would they call?

Helen,
Nothing you have described really sounds like a scam. I think you probably got a real call. Most companies do not list all of the numbers they have on their website, because they would have to list hundreds of numbers and it would be hard to get people to call only the numbers that fit the services they need. Most list a small number of toll free lines (800) etc. USAA also has an address at 1 Norterra Drive, Phoenix, Arizona 85085. It's possible they have others as well.

They claimed to be USAA, but the number is an Arizona number and USAA is based in San Antonio, TX AND when I went to the website to look for the number they wanted me to call, it wasn't there.
Since I already have a policy with them, I'm thinking this may be a "copy cat" scammer.

Got a call from this number. Seems someone got in a vehicle accident and gave my cell phone number to them. I never heard of the person who gave my number. He drives a toyota, I don't. Figure it is a scam.

I submitted my claim online and I was given the choice of a phone call from 8:00 to noon or noon to 5:30, it is now 6:30. That and the odd area code and the "unavailable" on the caller ID meant I missed the call. :-( USAA is usually better than this.

It is USAA. It's an automated caller that leaves a voicemail if you don't answer, with the 1-800 number to call USAA back at, which is the number I have in my address list. I've been getting Anonymous calls a couple times a day, off and on, for about 6 months now, so I didn't answer it, thinking that the scammers were trying a different tactict to get my money.

This is USAA. It was the real deal because they had information that was only posted on the official usaa web site.

It was USAA following up on a service I requested from them. Not sure I'll need it anymore, but I don't mind the follow-up call. They've been a fantastic company so far!

I can also confirm it is a legit call from USAA. It seems to be specifically for auto claims (they had some more questions they needed about my recent accident).

This is a legit USAA Number. They need some more information on a car accident.

I just checked with USAA after receiving a phone call from this number & the person requesting to 'review my information with me'. I declined, called USAA, & they confirmed it was actually them. Creepy though, they had no reason to call.

This phone number is the caller ID for outgoing calls made by claims agents at the USAA office in the Phoenix Arizona area. This is a call you should take if you were involved in a vehicle accident

This is a call from USAA. They left a voicemail - yes, it was a live person. They needed additional information on a recent auto accident that my son was in.
This number IS legit. They've always been good with us. I stand by them 100%.
