I received a call from 623 240-2423.  A guy named Stephen Jordon. I was told our merchant account had been "Flagged" by Visa as a Low Risk Matrix, and we qualified for a change to our merchant account. From tier 5 to tier 2. An interchange rate reduction to save 40 to 60% on processing fees.  They wanted to send out an agent to review and go over the changes, Why? This guy said they are "above the banks". This guy did not identify his company until I asked several times, skirting the answer and finely said Priority Financial.  Very insistent on wanting to send that agent and go over my merchant processing.
I asked if they had a website that I could see the info they were talking about.  He said www.priorityprocessing.com  It doesn't exist.  I think this is surely a scam to slam us or worse.
If I want to get a better rate I will call my bank directly.
Thanks but no thanks.

Business Owners Be Aware!  My business received a call from Priority Financial.   Do not waste your time answering any of their questions.  This is how my conversations with them went.  They said that they are notifying me that Visa/Mastercard is making changes to our merchant service account.  They said because of our good merchant history, we have become a preferred merchant and we have gone from high risk to low risk.  They are allowing us to move from Tier 5 to Tier 2 processing which would save us 40-60%.  They say we aren't t trying to sell you anything.  I asked, "How did you get my number and why are you notifying me and not my own merchant service if I should be saving money on merchant services?"  Although I had scheduled an appointment to meet with them, in the back of my mind I had other intentions.  While they were talking to me, I took notes so i could relay everything to my merchant service so they could red flag them to their other clients.  When I called my own merchant service to inform them of the call and everything Priority Financial shared, my merchant service said the call was not initiated by them.  Got on the internet to do further research, then found these postings.  Thank you everyone that has posted.  I called Priority Financial back to cancel the appointment.  When I called to cancel, they said verbatim, "Oh, you weren't eligible for Tier 2 processing anyway, so you beat us to the punch, we were going to call you anyway to cancel."  Interesting that someone had just called 30 minutes prior to say we are eligible and wanted to confirm the appointment.  Don't waste your time with them.  The numbers called were from 623-738-1360 and 623-738-1359.

Received call this morning from "Rochelle Hicks" of Merchant Services, wanted to speak to the owner (asked for her by name). Since we don't do merchant type business, I figured it was a telemarketer. Told her the owner was unavailable and took a message. Her number was 623-738-1910, and she provided a "reference number" -- I'm guessing this is a new step to the scan to sound more convincing to get people to call them back. I immediately started searching the internet to see what was up with them - when I asked what the call was regarding, "Rochelle" became very terse and said she could only speak to the owner about it. LOL, yeah, right, I get these crap calls all the time and have a 99% success rate at preventing them from ever getting to the owner, which is part of what I'm paid to do.

Recieved a call from Jason who said the was calling regarding Merchant Services, then asked to talk to the owner.  I told him he wasn't in his office.  He gave me his name and telephone # 480-347-0904.  When I asked, what Bank? He hung up on me, then called again on my second line. When I asked, "Is this Jason?" He said, "yes."  Then I asked what company was he from again. Then he hung up on me.  Jason said he will notify the owner about how rude I was, by asking so many questions that did not relate to me or to concern me.  He hung up 3x's. I told him I was going to notify the FBI.

I just got a phone call from Jason at Priority Financial Merchant Servies offering the same "spiel" as described above. I am glad I Googled their name and came up with this site. I will certainly not meet with anyone from that company after reading the other coments. Jason said he was calling from his direct line and that number is 480-478-0589.

Received a call from Priority Financial (623) 738-1292, Amy.  She said Visa had contacted them to contact me because I have been selected as a low risk merchant because of no chargebacks and no fraudulent activity.  She said I had gone from a tier 5 to a tier 2 and could save 40% on my merchant services. I asked if they were trying to get me to switch to their merchant service company, she said no they just wanted to offer me this deal so I could get the lower rate.  I asked if my current merchant services provider would do the same thing once they realized I had dropped to a tier 2.  She emphatically said NO, only they could help me get the savings.  I then asked how Priority Financial benefited from the deal and she said "that's a good question," laughed nervously and said she didn't know.  So glad for this warning.  What I can't figure out is what is the scam here?  Do they try to get your merchant account information?  How could they get money from that?

Received a call from "Laura" at Priority Financial regarding our "Merchant Services Account."  She demanded to speak with the owner and would not speak with any of may staff and refused to give any other information.  The number given was 623-738-1292, but when called simply says "This is Mike, leave a message,, etc."  We have no Merchant Services Account and have never heard of Priority Financial so this is clearly a fraud.

Received a call from these guys, claiming to be with "Merchant Services"
They couldn't tell what kind of account or service that I have.
Politely said "Not interested in your service" then hung up.
They called my right back and yelling something like "you don't know who you are dealing with etc.."
I immediately slammed the phone down. He kept calling back but I connected him to a mail box.
He never left a message though!
Very rude and unprofessional
Beware of this phone number.

I got a call that I was upgraded to Tier 2 from Tier 4 because of my companies excellent track record with Visa and Mastercard because of all of my excellent retail transactions and low chargebacks.  Only problem is I am not retail and we don't take charge cards.  When I said that, he wanted to know if I wanted to start and they still wanted to set up an appointment.
The number was 623-748-0321.

Phone call from "Merchant Services."  Needed to talk to Owner (gave owner's name) about his credit card accounts.  Told him to send it in writing.  He said that he couldn't, he is under directions to send his rep out.  I advised that we do not accept people without appointments, and make no appointments without written materials.  He was rude - that is not an option.

NOTE - we do not have an account with Merchant Services - and will not.  This is clearly a scam

Got a call this morning, Jan. 29th, 2010 from "Anthony" at 623-748-0321 (as displayed on caller ID along with the name Velazquez, G.).  He said he was calling about "merchant services".  It sounded like a fraudulant call so I said "I can't hear you, let me change phones" and he hung up right away.  I called the AZ Atty. General's - Fraud Division office and they told me to submit a complaint online or via mail.  They said they get a few hundred calls a day regarding this kind of thing!

Ongoing calls received from "Merchant Services"  from 623-748-0321.  These callers never leave a message except endless dial tone sound recorded on machine after hangup.  Very annoying. When I do pick up, they always say they are calling because they need to notify us about a change to our merchant account and that they oversee all merchant account services.  When we ask them for specifics (e.g. which "bank" we use), they can't answer.  In an attempt to get us off their "call list", I did call the number back and got recording about mailbox being full, but if we are calling for an appt or to reschedule an appt, we should call "scheduling mgr" at 623-748-0340.  Called and got a rude woman, who didn't give me her name, but transferred me to "James", who insisted on speaking with the "owner".  When I told him I am the responsible party, he said that isn't good enough, he needs to speak with the "owner".  I then got the "owner" on the phone, who asked James to take us off the call list.  James said there is "no list".  Owner then asked them not to call anymore.  I provided James with our main line and ringover lines so he can locate and remove them from his "system".  James is extremely rude and belligerent and was screaming that he is trying to help us...yeah, right.  When we ended call, we asked James for his last name, and he said it wasn't necessary and wouldn't give it, just  "James/floor mgr".   I called back the scheduling mgr's number in an attempt to confirm we would not be receiving future calls from them, and this time got a recording saying it is the mailbox of "Amelia Espinosa".

Received a call from 623-748-0321.  Whitney Taylor said she was with Priority Merchant Services.  She said she needed to notify us about a change to our merchant account.  I said we did not have an account with Priority Merchant Services.  Then she told me they were part of National Enhanced Interchange and that they oversee all merchant services accounts.  I asked her if they were the same company as Aurum Financial (who has also called me with a similar story from this number: 602-385-7250)

She said they were the same thing.  So I asked her how many company names they have, she also mentioned Priority Financial.  She began to get flustered when I continued to ask questions about the company, and eventually hung up on me.

These are all of the numbers that have called our office with regard to "merchant services":
