I got a call. Why did they call me?

this number is used by the state detention inmate phone service for some states and when it calls it means someone is in jail trying to contact you through this system. it sounds like the same number is used by other systems as well.

Just a seriers of hang up calls from this number, nobody speaks.  Very annoying.

Their type of call became illegal on Tuesday, this is Friday and they're still calling.  I just reported them to the FTC.

Call 10+ times a day from different numbers, all are "John" at "Debt Solutions".  If you press on the 1 when it tells you to and tell them to remove you from their call list, they hang up.
Call back and request to be removed and they hang up.
Threaten them with the FCC and all of a sudden they can't speak English.

I got a recording from John from Debt Solutions (again- I don't know how many times "he's" called). I pushed 1 to talk to someone, told them to remove me from the list and they hung up. I did the same thing last week when they called.

Exact same thing as Tim. I press 1 to tell them to remove me from their list and after I tell them they immediately hang up.

I got a call from this number, it was an automated message with a normal sounding guy saying I have outstanding debt that he and his company can help with.  Pressing 1 took me to where I was on hold, where it sounded like someone picked up then immediately hung up.  I've received calls in the past where I've done the same thing of pressing 1 and have gotten someone on the line asking if I have debt that I need help with, this person sounds like they can barely speak English much less know what debt is or how to help.  When I tell them to not call back ever, they immediately hang up.

I picked up the phone and said hello twice but no one answered. Just as I was hanging up I could here a click and a voice. I was already ahnging up. Either a bill collector or telemarketer.
