I think these guys are spoofing non-existent phone numbers for the CallerID when they call saying "this is a call from your credit card company." First of all, I believe this constitutes a perpetration of a FRAUD since I have long ago canceled all of my credit cards !! I previously spoke with someone on 2010-05-27 1:33:18 PM CDT (CallerID 1-826-000-9728) and told them I am on both the national and state "do not call list" and to remove me from their system. They called back today with caller ID 1-265-000-2899. The caller ID numbers they have used so far all have 000 as the prefix and are:
1-407-000-1919 on 2009-06-16 4:18:03PM  CDT
1-305-000-9876 on 2009-07-18 10:28:04AM CDT
1-917-000-9283 on 2009-12-07 1:26:05PM CST
1-773-000-0000 on 2010-04-06 12:59:42PM CDT
1-826-000-9728 on 2010-05-27 1:33:18PM CDT
1-625-000-8892 on 2010-06-01 3:43:27PM CDT
1-265-000-2899 today, 2010-06-15 2:42:03PM CDT

I also received 15 calls over in the last year between 2009-07-01 and 2010-04-27 from 1-000-000-0000.

Intellius claims to have info on most of these numbers (ad gimmick I think) but I don't want to pay for it.

Anyone have any idea who we can contact to get these guys charged and off the grid ?

I just received a call from 6250008892.  When directed to dial "9" to get an operator, I did so to let them know they should remove my phone number.   The individual answering the call cursed me and I hung up.  I would like to get a hold of this company and report them.

when I informed them that I had no balance on credit cards they hung up.  Today got another call and when I pressed 9 and informed "David" that what I wanted is for the calls to stop he hung up.  I have been on the Do Not Call registry for many years and these folks seem to pay no attention to that registry.

I should have known better than to press 9 to speak with someone about lowering the intrest rate on my credit card.  1. It was an unsolicited call.  2. He asked me what my credit card balance was.  (My credit card bank knows my balance.)  When I told the solicitor my balance, which is low, he hung up on me.  Creep.  Loser.  Scammer.  Never tell these callers anything and if you do, call your credit card Fraud Department to report the call.  They're the only ones who will investigate these calls.

Same as all the rest of the complaints. I have a fantasy of boiling these creeps in oil...slowly.

Creeps called me this afternoon. My caller ID said name unknown. Of course I didn't answeer the phone, but I'm tired of these calls.l

I keep getting these calls as well. I ignore them. When I do answer one I tell them they've reached the FBI office of Telephone Fraud. I am a Federal Prosecutor and that their call has been immediately traced by the FBI, in connection with a federal felony fraud scam and they will be arrested as suspects.

I hate these guys. I press 9 to speak to someone and as soon as I say something along the lines of "I've asked many times to be taken off this list" they hang up on me. Every.single.time. And they call all the time. I'd be angry with them calling regardless, however their rude operators just make me all the more angry. I'm not exactly sure how to report them because they hide behind a fake number and "unknown caller" on the caller I.D.

12-01-10 Received a call from this number. She said her name was Rachel and she was calling from Credit Card Services. She was actually pleasant on the phone and I told her we don't take credit cards in our business. Hopefully (?) they won't continue to call, we'll see.....

I am buying a blow horn for Rachel the next time she calls!!

Called me today...nothing

Received call 12/27/2010 1:55 p.m. - Didn't recognize # so didn't answer.  No message left.

I got a call from this number & when I answered, they hung up!  I tried calling them back but I got a recording that this number is not in service!  So, I reported it to Verizon & they inturn report it to the Feds!  Hopefully they will never call back!

They called and threatened to take my car. I told them I had no money owed on anything and they hung up. I am 77 yrs old and it upsets me when they do this.

Each time they call I press "9"  to speak to them and ask that they remove me from their calling list.  The first two times, they hung up on me after I made my request.  The third time the guy told me to "lose the attitude" and then hung up.  Does anyone know how to make a formal complaint agaisnt them?

I received a call from this number today even I am on the national do not call list. When I punched 9 for an operator I told her to remove my number because I was on the do not call list and she mumbled something and hung up on me.

When she came on line, she asked if I responding to a better rate or something like that. I told no I was calling because I was on the do not call list and told her to take me of the calling list. She mumbled something and hung up  on me.

Did not answer and they left no message. I do get the "about your credit account" calls a lot though.

called 5 times in 1 day.. recorded message stating URGENT regarding credit card account.  I tried calling this number back and recorded message states call can not be completed as dialed.  want these calls Stopped.

I received a call from this number today. But luckily for me, the number they called was my dedicated land line connected to my fax! My guess is that these are scam artists calling to try to get peoples credit card numbers. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE!

Anyone can buy an Area Code for their Cell phones. It costs about $200. There is no such official Area Code 625 in the US. So my guess it's a purchased number,

no message very anoying can the FBI Find out who is calling.

Just got the call today  625 000 8892 and I got the message about loweing the card interest.  I said I have no credit ballance or interst I asked which card and they said Master card and Visa.  I asked who it was and where did they get my phone number.  With that the yound man , I could tell from the tone of voice said "Your Mother" and hung up.

Recording about credit card interest going down but I have to press 9 for it to happedn in a limited time span.  No one answered, nor could I call them back.
