I think it is from companies that want to charge you to research the number.

same here, just got this call too...didn't answer, googled it, and found this thread.

Said "GOODBYE". that was it...

Just got a call from this number and it was listed as Arcadia, CA area.  Automated voice came on and said "you are the only person in this conference" then the call dropped.

Didn't hear a company mentioned.  Man? said, "I'm here to ask you a few questions because of your response to our online survey for a job."  I said, "I'm not looking for a job."  Person said, "Sorry I couldn't help you out today."

Yes, he could. He could have not called me in the first place and to my cellphone, too.  

I'm beginning to be openly hostile to telephone solicitors, who call me more often than all of my friends combined.  This morning, I got a call on my home phone.  I answered the phone, "What DO YOU WANT?!"

Just received a call from this number from a man. He he said he was responding to an online survey I took. I told him I don't do surveys and don't call me again. It was a live person not a recording.

I had same exactly what Jessica and ABC above described. Weird and creepy.

I just had the same experience as Jessica - automated voice that said "goodbye".  Next time I'm not answering any unknown numbers unless they leave a legit message.

I just received a call from this number and picked up. I said "hello" twice and after a second or two of silence, there was an automated voice that said "goodbye" and hung up on me. Very weird.

I missed the call, so I called back. It was another of the WN Positions bogus robocall calls. They said I filled out something online that indicated I was looking for a job. I do not remember ever doing so, but listened. They said press 1 to speak to a representative or press 2 and enter your number to be removed. I pressed 2 and feel like an idiot now because I did enter my number, which I am guessing validates the number. I called back and pressed 1. They ask you a series of questions and it is a very slick computer system that uses voice recognition. It is not a human being. It was going to ask me some personal questions to validate. I hung up. This is a scam and I'm guessing may eventually be prosecuted for wire fraud.

Some girl called and asked who had called her, but she called me.
