I got a call from them. It's a los angeles area code. Didn't answer it tho.

I just got the call, and am in Canada -- 416 area code .. unfortunately I can't sign up for the US federal DNC list .. I told the rep I was on the list and she hung up on me

I got the same call, on SPRINT.  Been getting numberous calls on extending my vehicle warranty in last week.  Never got these before and never gave out my #.

Thank you all for the advice.  I also was concerned that it said "DEAD" on the caller ID.  I'm calling to get off the list right now.

I got two calls.  I have Sprint Recording told me I won something.

Automated call with recording saying I've won a free satellite system (oh joy!). They called me at an unpublished work number. It was press something for a live operator or 9 to be removed from their list. I went for 9 but aren't too hopeful.

If you return the call, they will remove you from their list supposedly.

Same as Peppers. Came up as DEAD on my caller ID and I really got scared. That's how I found this site. Took the advice of calling the number and it really did have me press 1 to be removed. We'll see if it works!

received too many of this type of calls lately.
I have AT&T service.  
Could it be that their customer's database got leak out?
Didn't have this problem when I was using T-Mobile.

Did not pick up the phone when this call came in but returning the call gives a message that says to press one if you wish to be removed from their call list. After pressing 1 another recording simply says "thank-you" and then the call is ended. Who knows if they actually remove your number or if this leads to more calls.
