Got this call on cell, I F**ed them

annoying calls gave up land line cause they not stop themm   can we hirs them assains to stop this on cell lines

Rang 3 times, didnt even go to voicmail and they gave up on me. Good thing for me.

Really like seeing this kind of information available. I just received a call from this number, also on my cell, Telus is the carrier here in Calgary (go Flames go, well maybe next year)and by now have learned not to answer out of country calls. Really, how lucky can a guy get,received enough `you`re a winner of......been specially chosen to....have been lucky enough to receive.....,yada yada yada, thanks to those who post!

i just resived a call from this number i did answer i thought one of my friend in usa  , but no one talk to me so i hung up .. thank you all

Just got that call at work.. "Congratulations, you've been selected in our draw to recieve a promotional gift, please press 1 now to recieve your promotional gift"...the recording of the guys voice sounded almost like Borat!!! wierd.

I just received a call from this number but I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the area code.  I'm glad I didn't answer it!  I typed in the number to see where it originated and found all these warnings.  THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!  I will be sure to ignore calls from this area code from now on.  I am Canadian also and I'm not interested in the slightest about any offers they might make!  Not only that but I'm wondering where the heck they got my number in the first place, it's a pay-as-you-go Rogers cell phone - like I want to waste my time talking to them!

Ironically, that list was actually sold to American call centres.

This number appeared on my cell phone but I was too paranoid to answer an unknown number.
These aren't the only maketing b*****ds who have my Canadian number. Thanks for the information.

I've been geting a lot of unknown calls on my cell phone of late. so I registered it on the Canadain (There is a similar American site) DO NOT CALL LIST https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/insnum-regnum-eng. I did for my home number a while ago. It takes about a month to kick it , but really helps.

I just got this call too, ironically I'm from California but living in Canada and I couldn't think of anybody I know who lives in that area code. Glad I didn't pick up the phone. :)

I also received a call from the number 626 472 2889. I searched for that number in the internet and found that site with all the reports about that number. Thanks to all of you for the advise. I didn't called the number back. :)

yah, I just recieved a call from this 3 as well ... lucky for me I had the ringer turned off and forgot ... glad I didn't have to take the call... Thanks to all of you that knew

Likely a company that has purchased the Do Not Call list.

Also a Canadian who just received a call on my cell phone from this 626 number. As I mostly use my cell for teexting my husband and grown children I ran to get it assuming it must be important. Fortunately the ringing had ended so I didn't have to put up with the sales pitch! It is frustrating to receive these kind of nuisance calls!!!

Same as above, tried to offer me prizes and deals that only are awarded to US citizens which is wierd since I live in canada.  I will just ignore it.

Received a call on my cell phone long distance as I live in Canada and the call was coming from CA, USA.
Called back using my office number and it was a marketing group seeking people to listen to their pitch about Travel Desinations and offers.
I asked to have my number removed from their list and they automatically transfered me to a different extension with an automated message saying my number was on the 'not to call list' I had to call back and give them my cell number as they did not give me the option to inform them of it.
If you see this number show up do not answer unless you want to be pitched at.
