I got this call just now on MY cell phone - and only my fiance owns a Washington Mutual card. I answered the call and there was no one answering on the other line....??

I receive calls from this num all day! I have a WAMU account and it is current...

how do we stop this number from calling?

I thought credit cards couldnt call you after a certain hour? i am in the same boat as everyone here and its getting to be a little bit to much.

Yeah, it's WaMu all right.  Ironically, I work in a call center myself, but I don't do collections -- I couldn't live with myself.  When you get a call like this and someone tells you they can't bring their supervisor to the phone, it's because the caller is sitting in a room of 300 cubicles and there are only a handful of supervisors covering the entire room.  Most likely, those supervisors are out having a cigarette in the parking lot when you want to speak to them -- trust me!!  I searched my entire PC until I finally found a .WAV file called "silent" and downloaded it to my phone as a ringtone.  Now when I get about 20 calls a day from these idiots in India, I don't hear the phone ring any more.

WAMU pays overseas workers to make collection calls....I can barely understand them.  I ask to speak to a supervisor and/or manager and they tell me they are busy.  I don't advise anyone to speak to any of them until they can get a manager on the phone.  You try to tell them you will make a payment as soon as possible, but that still isn't good enough.  Maybe if they were here in the US to see how bad the economy is, then they would understand!

Same as above.  They call all hours of the day.  It is 4:30 p.m. and they have called 13 times so far since 8 a.m..  I have a wamu acct but am not behind.  The latest that they have called is 10:46 p.m.  MAKE "EM STOP!

I don't answer the phone unless I know who is calling so whomever is calling from this number calls several times a day but never leaves a message.

If it isn't important enough for them to leave a message then it isn't important enough for me to pick up the phone or call them back

they call at least 50 times a day do not leave message and use several different numbers. I coded them to ring silent from every number they call from. if it is important they will leave a mesage.

There calling my cell phone too.  Not behind.... washington mutual sucks stop calling me !!!!!  You'd think if it was important they would leave a message instead of calling every 15 minutes.

I get a minimum of 5 calls a day from this number. They call on both my numbers (cell & home ), and don't have the decency to leave a message. I'm thinking I may have to have my phone numbers changed. I believe the caller is related to a WAMU account I have. I will be filing an official complaint against them.

Got a call from these guys. Said I was behind on payments. Stopped payment issued new check. I beleive this is a scam, but I'm not sure how it works. Caller sounds foreign and wants me to make a payment over the phone. Wasn't imtimidated when I said I'ld call my state's attorney general. Is there someone out there that can stop these guys?

guy kept saying he was charles from the bank when i politely asked him who was calling. but he wasnt just saying it     he was saying it like a realy cocky piece of s**t. well charles from the bank, how about i tear your f***ing eyes out?

I am being harassed by not only 6265340250 but by about 3 other numbers too. They do not have any caller id info except the number and it is to my cell phone. I do not answer and they do not leave messages. It really sucks!

i'm getting the same calls. 3 days past due on a current account with WaMu. What a huge pain in the a**!!!

I hope when they become Chase they will stop this practice   I missed one payment for $20[which was over the needed payment] and they call 5-6 times a day.  I never answer the phone unless I know who it is but my phone doesn't let those calls ring it just puts them through to missed call so it isn't as annoying as having it ring all the time. they are very annoying and I did sent them a letter but I'm sure it it only made me feel better.  let's hope Chase is better

i have 8 calls on 1/31 & 2 on 2/1 from 6265340250, 6 calls on 2/1 from 2102470026, and 2 calls today (2/2) before 10 am from 2012679017. i may be a few days late but for someone who has had their card for over 3 years and never missed a payment that is a bit over the top.

It is time for all of us to file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against Washington Mutual for harassment!  I am going to try and contact CNN and/or Bill O'Reilly and have these creeps exposed for what they really are:  Domestic Terrorists!!!  It is time to get the media involved and get some ruthless lawyers on their tails and if we all band together against WaMu we could all end up raking in a good bit of dough!  Who is with me??  Get on your phones, get online, just keep pounding the media about this.  Someone has got to step up and stop these jerks from doing this to us!

This number calls me a gazillion times a day on my cell phone and does not leave a message.  I have become so fed up that I actually downloaded a ring back tone on my phone that sounds like the number is out of order.  This only kept them off of my back for a day or so, and they still called at least ten times that day.
Now I have found a wonderful web service that enables me to give out a # for messages only.  I have changed the contact information in all of my accounts.  If it is important enough for them to call, they can leave a message OR send me a letter.  They have not called my phone in days since I changed to this service.
I don't have an account with WaMU...someone else in my family does...they gave out my number as another means of contacting them.  I couldn't get them to stop harrassing me until I took this course of action.  e

This is one of the numbers from them that called me. I do have a late account, but that is because of some hard times right now and I sometimes CAN'T make minimum payments for the time being. Since they choose to be so aggressive, when I see a strange number call, I let the phone connect then blow canned air right onto the mouthpiece.

Wow, they are getting aggressive with the economic downturn.  

WAMU collections- I was 2 days late and didn't realize I was late (yes, only TWO DAYS LATE).  This is one of about a dozen numbers they use that seem to be from a normal area code.  They called 4 or 5 times in 2 hours so I picked up despite being in the middle of teaching a lesson (I'm a teacher and don't pick up at work but I didn't realize anything was late, it wasn't an 800 type number, I have friends in many states, so even though I didn't recognize the area code I was afraid it might be an emergency).  Once they had me on the line they didn't want to let me go- I tell them I'm a teacher, I'm working, and I'm not discussing anything with them in front of my students, and they try to get a commitment to give payment info then and there (mind you, after being the victim of identity theft I won't give that kind of info to anyone on the phone anyway, in front of the class or not).  Being a teacher in front of a class and my students have no business knowing my business wasn't good enough and they even got somewhat threatening- if I don't pay now further action may result and it will harm my credit (sorry, I'm an ex-banker, I know you can't do anything to me for 2 days late).

I go home and pay online and they call 5-8 times a day for the next several days until that payment posted.  Mind you, this level of harassment was for 2 DAYS late.  I will be canceling my WAMU account and my Chase account (Chase now owns Washington Mutual) due to this harassment.

Well, now I'm looking at houses and I'm soon to shop for mortgages.  Guess who won't be getting my business (WAMU and Chase).

Washington Mutual calling from all over the states. Never did business with them or any other bank prior to WAMU buying them out. I think they say they buy banks out to spam people.

Just read your TOS, had no idea this site wasn't to help callers from being spammed but just a site to report spam.
Really doesn't make a bit of sense to have this website.

Calls, rings, leaves no message; I have a WAMU card but im not behind and dont owe so I do not know what is up with this.  First calls come from Reno, then florida, then texas, now california; they are using all sorts of ploys.
