This number pops up on my cell and says nothing but "Pasadena area". I guess it's one of those scam schools it looks like. The call every day and never leave a message. The last couple days I answered and let them listen to silence. No matter if I answer or not, they don't take a hint and keep calling.

Been receiving calls from this and other strange numbers---something about complaint against my social security number?! What the heck is this about?It was a lady who left the message this last time.Wish they would stop calling.

Said his name was Nathan and that he was calling about a form I filled out to sign up for college classes. Hung up instantly.

I have received calls from the same numbers you listed, all within the past 6 days.  Aggravating to say the least.

Don't answer 626-544-5678. It is a spam call from telemarketers. It is annoying!

COUPONCATHY.NET           Don't ever give your cell phone number EVER to a website!!!!!!!     ALWAYS read their Privacy rules!  I didn't and this is what happened:    
I stupidly entered my cell phone number in a website called CouponCathy.net that is supposed to give you grocery and other coupons.
NEVER entered my cell phone ever before at a website; (so I'm certain this was the source of the calls) but it all seemed legitimate!  Started getting these calls now all the time!  I just went to the COUPONCATHY website and read their "Privacy" rules.
They CAN and WILL give out your information to THIRD PARTIES!!!!!!. BE CAREFUL. My own mistake; but I have contacted them and told them if they don't get me off their list - I will be contacting authorities. My phone number was already on the "Do Not Call Registry".
I have not answered any of these calls; just clicked on my phone "REFUSE"

If you ever request info online from a for-profit school or use a free resume building site, don't ever put your cell number down. If you've received a rash of numbers like this one, its because you submitted your number knowingly(without reading the fine print) to online companies that pay for the bulk of their revenue by selling your number to every unscrupulous for-profit online college scam out there. I got tired of the bot dialers wasting my minutes with blank voice mails, so I answer them every time and either put the phone back in my pocket or next to a car speaker blaring music. If you pick up, it gets transferred to a live scam operator.  If they are going to waste my minutes regardless, mine as well waste their employees scamming time as well. Update: The majority of calls I receive like this one are from career institute. I humbly ask that everyone answer and respond with dead air. This is an aggressive scam that will not let up. Fight back. These f'ing tele-terrorists have called me from over twenty different numbers. Answer and deafen them.

Same #'s calling me PLUS 714-880-8080 and this started happening all of a sudden - about a week ago and I have no idea why they are calling or how they got my number.  I just don't answer unless I know who's calling me or it's a local area code.

Been receiving calls from 626-544-5678, 845-4069-533, 707-927-1570, 510-201-5688, 561-829-2170, 657-202-9128, etc. + private/restricted numbers - All from the same company! Started a week ago with about 100+ calls already; multiple per day. They wont stop!

Harassing phone calls from this number as well as 714-408-4601, 951-257-0016, 651-829-3110 and 510-201-5688 for the past 2 days.  This needs to stop.

I think the phone companies are selling numbers to these people

I keep receiving calls from california but with different numbers, and dont leave a voicemail. These are the numbers that keep calling and calling nonstop 657-202-9128. 510-201-5688, 626-544-5678. I dont get their point in calling but i keep ignoring and they keep calling. This is dumb i dont have time for this.

Create a contact on your smartphone called "Telemarketer", then block this contact.  When you receive an unknown, unwanted call, add the new number to the Telemarketer contact name.  Most phones will allow up to 10 alternate numbers.  When you run out.  Create "Telemarketer 2" and block this contact as well.  You will never receive another call from that particular telemarketer again.

This is for Career Institute. They blow up my phone all the time. I just stopped answering this number and actually since it was on my smartphone, I got an app that will send crap calls like this right to VM. Bye Bye CI!

I've received nonstop calls from this number, 510-2015688, 657-202-9128, 305-587-2555, 571-441-0156, etc. I'm sure the list will grow as the days go by. They're all from different areas and they seem to be extremely persistent with calling, they don't leave messages either. I don't get their point. If they want to keep paying people to call me nonstop they can do so because I'll just keep ignoring their damn calls.
This is ridiculous.

I started getting calls from these numbers as well!  I called the number back, which led me to a menu and guess what, they had an option to remove your number from their list.  I did it, so we'll see if they stop calling me now! Hope this helps :)

I just ported my number from Verizon to Straight Talk a few days ago, there may be some connection.

I just got one from the 414-877-5675. I have had them from several more, just like you. They say I filled out a questioner for info about colleges. I didn't. However I did get on a survey thing, big mistake. somehow I think that is how they got my number. either that or it's because I AM enrolled in college on-line already. Happy blocking. same thing happened recently with car insurance. I had 8 calls in 20 minutes when somehow my info was distributed.

Received calls from the following numbers with the same MO.  626-544-5678, 805-205-9042, 510-201-5688, 657-202-9128, 714-551-6991, and 704-243-5004.  I need to find away to block these numbers.  Not happy about this at all.

Just got another call from this #

I called the number back after being hasseld for days by Career Institutes various numbers.  After following the prompts I had my number removed. The prompts are very slow but if you follow through to the end it will get done.  Im not sure if I will have to do this for each of their numbers they call from, but I think we fixed the problem.

same thing.funny too i just answered DoNotCall survey then i got even more calls  some of the numbers are different.

I received phone calls from the same exact numbers several times.  Very irritating.

So exact thing happened to me too.  I get them throw these 2 numbers right in a row w like they weere online Colleges or something.  Good maybe we got to spend with several recruiting for Acting jobs

Same here I received calls from 614-407-5679, 414-877-5675, 626-544-5678, 510-201-5688 They are the same numbers calling you. I believe they are all telemarketers. This has got to stop. This started when I upgraded my IPhone from a 4 to a 5. But did not change my number. I don't know who is giving out information from upgrading phones or changing numbers to telemarketers. But ATT and Apple should have more security around the information.

them to call me.   I did put my phone # on a Job Site...that's it!!!
