No message left. Call at least once/week

There needs to be a law passed that automated callers give instruction for removal off their call list. This has to stop. They make people verry angry. And something might happen to them.

I received a call from this number.  No messege.  Who is it?  What are they selling?  Take me off their list.

I live in Southern California and my experience was the same as Michael's excepted they called my cell phone.  I happened to miss the call but when I call the number back the first time I got the message regarding "your call can not be completed..." (or something like that) and the second time I called it instructed me to leave a message.  I'm not sure what type of business has no compnay name of their voicemal but I simply hung up hopefully I want get anymore of these calls but I now know to put the 626 area code in the group of 800, 877, 866, calls I get that I don't answer either.

I live on the East Coast of USA.  I got this call during dinner, didn't answer it and then hit *69 for automatic callback service to get the number, since I don't have caller ID on my phone.

I dialed the number several times to see if I could get someone to answer and I got one of two recordings:

"The party you are trying to reach is not available to take your call.
Please leave a message after the tone. Press the # key to end recording..."

Then when I didn't leave a message, the computer message said:

"The voice messaging service has not detected a message, please leave a message at the tone."

OR

"We're sorry, your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again or all your operator to help you. This is a recording."

This one sounded like a legitimate Canadian operator speaking ^^^

It's strange because of this: If it is a legitamate business, you would think they would want you to call them back, so they could talk to you.  But, with all of the oddities involved, no one in their right mind would deal with them, even if they did finally answer their phone.  Sounds scammy to me.  

I'm glad I didn't interrupt my dinner for the call.

received a call from them at 9:30am,August 13, 2008; I did not answer because no name showed on caller ID. They left no message. Unless I know the number, I do not answer calls that show no caller name on caller ID. "If you don't want me to know who you are, you don't really want to talk to me."

I also live in Manitoba, this call showed up on my caller ID at 12:16pm.  As DBLEL stated, sounds like they are moving east.  I Have also been getting the 1-800-837-9531, every weekday, but a roughly an hour later in the day each time.

call screening lets u know when they call, but to my amazement this morning she blathered on for a good 5 minutes on the answer machine. I too live in BC in the E Kootenay.

these idiots are calling me from mississippi and letting the
phone ring and ring and ring. They are telemarketers.
They're not even man enough to speak when the phone is picked up.

August 7th I received a call from this number with the exact experience as mentioned above; no response.  I live in Saskatchewan and notice that others from Saskatchewan have recently had this number too.  Hmmmm.

I was called today, i did not answer it but this is the info i got when i did a search on it.  i get called all the time my caller id has more of these calls on it than it has from people i know.  The caller id listed caller for the name???????

Got a call today from this number while I was away. Too many telemarketers!

Exactly the same experience as Kate on July 24 and Angry Phone Owner on July 25. They phoned at 9:02 this morning and a recorded voice blathered on about how my name was entered in a contest by a friend. Thanks to Lex for providing the contact information above. I plan to follow up.

I just LOVE caller ID. I don't bother answering it if it comes up with calls from say Maryland or California. It saves me a lot of hassle, and has cut down on the amount of calls I DO get.

If someone calls me and I get an actual person when I answer, and they can't leave me a call back number, I write that number down, google it to try and see who it is, and the next time they call, I let it go to caller Id. Now days, they have the stupid automated call system so that if you do answer you can not tell them to place you on the do not call list. I live in a remote part of British Columbia and I KNOW no one has entered ME in a contest, because I am the one who would have done SO!!!! Nor do I go to California, Maryland or any place over the border!! If I do go somewhere, it is close to home!!!  Thank you.

This is the company name according to more searches, I suggest everyone look them up, call them and report them to FCA and CRTC. There has to be something that can be done about american telemarketers in Canada

Mine is the same story as Kate's. BC Canada, entered into a contest for a cruise. Friend or family member entered my name and I was selected blah blah. Its from Macy's/Bloomingdales. Are they crazy? I don't even think we have Macys or Bloomingdales in Canada. # on call display says california so I called it and got the message 'the person you are calling is not able to take your call, please, leave a message..'

I registered with the DO NOT CALL national service as well. If these calls are coming from the USA this is the problem. The CRTC and the FCA don't protect us when the calls come from outside the country.

I have had calls before from this exact same company once I even answered one. They have been told to quit calling. Yet, every couple of weeks or months, more calls. I am quite certain this is illegal. They do not even say what company they are. Just who they are calling on behalf of.

Caller ID stated "California" and they called me at 2:16 pm. I live in British Columbia, Canada and no one i know entered my name in this type of contest. I answered the call and it was some automated voice telling me congratulations someone had entered my name in their contest and that I had just won an all inclusive trip to one of their 3 magnificent locations. Never once does it identify who they are, only that I had one and for more information I was to press "9", or press "3" to disconnect. And for the record i am registered with the national DO NOT CALL service, so much for that service.

Caller ID stated call was from California and number they were calling was in BC Canada.  No answer or sound from the caller when phone was answered.  We can fly people to the moon but cannot tell who is "calling us" on earth????

They're on S. First St between W. Main St and W. Commonwealth Ave.

Got a call from this number - it was a medical insurance plan. Don't know how they got my cell number.
