Got the same "Please call at 16269239773! 66-fcu issue!" message. I also live in Texas & have a 210 number...
soccer 2011-02-02 12:58:13 Unknown
This is a phishing scam.
em 2011-02-02 01:16:01 Unknown
I got the same message. It said "KU ISSUE". My first thought was University of Kansas, because KU is short for that and I used to go there. But it was very odd. I called the number and the automated voice wanted 3 forms of id.
Carrie 2011-02-02 00:18:24 Unknown
I also got the "KU Issue" text on my 785 Sprint number. Glad I searched it online before calling.
ml 2011-02-02 00:16:06 Unknown
I too got the same "KU Issue" message. When I called got automated response wanting three forms of ID and asking for my 16 number account number. I like most of you are assuming this is a scam.

Just got a text asking me to call this number because of a 66-federal credit union issue. I'm in Arkansas . Sent from my01@messaging.sprintpcs.com
busy scammers!
latina77 2011-02-01 23:25:15 Unknown
got the same text and i called sprint to block the number!
CH 2011-02-01 23:24:20 Unknown
I sent phone # and text email, Sprint replied that are now blocked.
Thanks again
DL 2011-02-01 22:53:54 Unknown
I received the "KU Issue!" message and the 626 number to call. This was sent to my Sprint cell number so I'm guessing that whoever is doing this scam has access to Sprint Phone numbers.
Has anyone recieved this message on a non-Sprint number?
John 2011-02-01 22:48:11 Unknown
Keep the info I posted, but I'm not sure if it will actually help in this case, since 6269239773 wasn't the sender, and the "sending" address my03@messaging.sprintpcs.com may be forged and otherwise legit.
Annoying dark knights of spamalot...
CH 2011-02-01 22:44:48 Unknown
Thanks for the tip

I just received the "KU Issue" text message as well, and I also have a Sprint account in the 785 area code. Here's what to do:
Send a text message to 9999 with the message "spam 6269239773"
That will notify Sprint, both to report the message sender AND block them from sending messages to you in the future. Here's a listing of the other options with Sprint and the 9999 shortcode:

Same here...I have 785 number.. scam?
Lawrence 2011-02-01 22:32:19 SMS
Got the same text message. When I called (blocking my number) it purported to be a bank and said to "reactivate" my card I needed to give them three pieces of information, starting with the credit card number.
Clearly a scam designed to target people in Lawrence.

Yep, just got the exact same message with the same callback number, also sent to a 785 number. I wonder if they timed it with the storm thinking it might be more likely people would call.
Kyle 2011-02-01 22:29:03 SMS
Got it too - I'm on a 785 number from Sprint too.
JL 2011-02-01 22:28:26 Unknown
Got the KU Issue message about 2 minutes after my husband got the same message.
