I recieved a text saying that my emarald credit card was frozen and I don't have a emarald card.

just received a text that my emerald card starting with 511165 is frozen call 626-9239996

i have the emerald card and my numbers start with what the text says.  being worried about my account, i called and gave them my card number, then my pin, then i realized i've just been scammed!!!  now i'm more worried than ever, i've called my card and hr block and made a couple of cases.  i've changed my pin too.  i feel so stupid.  freakin crooks, i hope they all get caught.

Got the same message to my cell phone.  There was a 4 digit number associated from the originating text - 6283.
Urgent: Your Emerald-Card Starting With 511165Is Frozen.  Call 6269239672 For Details.

Received text message on my cell phone on Jan 15, 2011, 10:11am, From: 6503--"Your Card Starting With 511165 Is Locked. Call 6269239996 For Details/"      I didn't respond, "it's scam" cause I don't have any cards with that number.

I got the exact same message about a credit card (not specified what kind of card) beginning with the same number as everyone else.  I will be reporting them and would advise others to do the same.

I got the same message so did my girl .they got the card number from us using pre paid card to purchase games from my metro for our cell phones.

My wife and I both received the msg this morning.  It's obviously a scam to phish for additional account information.  Need to find out who these people are and put a stop to them.

Got a text message to call for details about this card, but I did not respond because I do not a have card beginning with those numbers.

Either someone within Emerald is selling the info illegally or somebody hacked into some computer somewhere.

They are phishing for the last 4 digits of your credit card number. They already have your phone number.

Yup my husband just got a text message one too. I hope people search the internet to find out that its a scam like we did.

" Your card starting witht 511165 is locked.  Call for details.  (626)923-9996- they wanted more information.  too bad, we are on to them.- good site to check out numbers

This card is expired thank god and no money on it..but how do they have my phone number and this card number attached to it?

Calls like these where your card (debit, MC, VISA, Discover, Emerald, etc.) is declared frozen (canceled, in default, etc.), it is a SCAM to get you to steal your card info. Don't fall for it. If you have questions, call your card issuer using the number on the back of your card.

I have also recieved the text message saying my emerald card is frozen. The emerald card is from h&r block but this must be a scam cause I do not have this card

Just got the same thing I called my CC company to check about this and they said its a SCAM my card was just fine

I got the Emerald card message about 511165 from (626)923-9996, too.

Same thing got same text ... scam to get me to enter my ccard so I can reactivate it...

The same thing just happened to me too. I googled it to see if anyone else had the same problem. I only own 1 card, and it is a bank card. I am thinking it is a scam. I would advise to not call.

Text message to my mobile phone states: Urgent! Your Emerald Card starting with ***** is Frozen. Call 626-923-9996 .

I do no have or know what an Emerald card is. And, I don't want to know what it is either as I have enough cards in my wallet.
This sounds like another scam to me.
