Just a note about the scam concerns.

I hire call centers for trade magazine publishers.  I do not use PST, but I am considering them.

Trade journals give free subscriptions to people who are qualified (work for the right kind of company and have the right job title) for their advertisers.  They give away the subscriptions to acquire readers who their advertisers want to reach.  This makes their ads valuable to purchase.

The more-reputable trade magazines are audited; they must prove the readership they claim.  Most of the time, this is done by phone.  The best/toughest audit bureau is BPA Worldwide (bpaww.com), which requires the reader's request interview must be recorded.  

If you're concerned about this being a scam, ask them to confirm in the interview that they will never charge you for the magazine.  (A quality call center will offer to do this, without you having to ask.)

If you absolutely do not want to be recorded, tell them you want the magazine but don't wish to be recorded.  The agent will comply and, at the end of the interview, ask you a Personal Identifier Question like the state you were born in or the month of your birth.  If your order were chosen for audit, the auditor would call you to confirm your request and your PIQ answer.

If PST is calling and hanging up on a lot of people, they probably have their automatic dialer set improperly.  No more than 3% of the calls a telemarketing company makes may be "dropped".  What happens is that there isn't an agent available to handle your number when it is automatically dialed, so the computer drops the call (hangs up on you).  This is very irritating and quality call centers try not to antagonize customers this way -- especially trade magazine readers, who are a precious asset to the publishers.

To my knowledge, PST is a legitimate call center.  They've been around for years.  It's just that call centers sometimes get a little too aggressive.

Several people from PST Sales and Marketing call repeatedly, sometimes within minutes of each other and will not stop.

This lady told me to expect an email from DELL Corp. then hung up

IBM wanted to send a white paper about creating cloud services based on some new server platform.

This number calls constantly.They never leave a message, clue 1. I never answer because I don't recognize it. I finally answered this morning. The guy asked for my husband, told him hubby was at work. Goes on to say consolidation of credit card debt. We don't use credit cards I tell him, the guy won't give up for anything, I remain firm then have to get pretty nasty by my standards. And yes, we are on the Do Not Call List. Get a clue people, quit calling our house.

Same as everyone else, I'm on the Do Not Call list but they called my cellphone and didn't leave a message. Frustrating.

Have received multiple calls from this number on a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) for weeks now.  I never answer and they never leave a voice mail.  I'm sure it's an automated dialer doing the calling.

they've been calling frequently recently and don't leave a message so I'm going to block their harassing calls!!!   Yuk-yuk.   I don't need a subscription!!!

They just called me asked for some guy named Rick.   I'm not that guy!

The call I received was to send me Dell materials (by email or paper wasn't clear) I stated that at this time I didn't want to receive anything from Dell and the caller said okay and politely disconnected.

Have been getting hang-up calls for several weeks from them on my personal cell.  Finally got someone when I answered this time.  They are a cold-calling company, PST Sales & Marketing, http://www.pstsales.com/ whose corporate office number is 630-539-2500.  Call 'em.  Annoy 'em.  They were looking for some other person, and insisted that they were calling a business.  When I indicated that this is my personal cell and they have no permission to call it, I also asked for the corporate name.  None was provided...and I was hung up on when I asked for removal from their list.  I'm calling back.  I've got all day.  What makes these idiots think it's ok to call my cell phone incessantly, and then hang up on me when I want to have my number removed?!?!

They keep calling my cell, every morning....I do not answer and they never leave a message.

Network Fleet magazine to renew free subscription...We do not even get this magazine, so how can they renew it?

Oh, and everytime I asked who was calling me and for them to take me off their call list, they kept saying puro varrio (I guess...like you wrote above).  What is that???
